The first 5 episodes of the Dukes are something very unique and special. The music, The different acting and the show had a completely different feel when it was done in Georgia.
John Schneider explained on his channel why theres no general lee in this one. well what do you think happens to the blue car at the end. it blows up. they aint about to blow up the general lee, so they used a blue sedan
Don't forget trying to get a pregnant woman in the General Lee with it's doos welded shut. :) I live in Georgia and live near several of the filming locations in this clip. Mainly the scenes involving the horse drawn cart/cornfield areas.
landcaster 4 well..... I'd like to report a stollen car, a blue 1975 Plymouth fury........ we know what it looks like cooter, we've been chasing the ding dang thing all morning.........
To everyone mentioning this is the episode without the General, I’m fine it not being driven most of the episode, that’s happened countless other times, but the fact it’s not even at Cooters garage being repaired, which I assume the reason they are driving the blue Plymouth in the first place
Tell somebody to please put this show back on television. There just isn;t enough good shows on anymore. This is my most favorite of them all. It's wholesome and fun!

Yeah it should have all been filmed there
I drove that car
No General Lee but the excellent Georgia locations make up for it.
The cops were much more serious in the earliest episodes of Dukes.
bo duke luke duke
I miss these days watching this when I was a kid
Me to good times
Those old Dodges and Plymouths sure did run well... until they got totaled. The kill-ratio of cars to episodes was insane for this show.
Three cop cars and two chargers per episode were destroyed
Every lil town off 121 looks the same today..
too bad they moved it to California after 5 episodes
Very Accurate. Back the the 70s and 80s, it wasn't yet a crime to Litter.
My Granddad had a 75 Plymouth Grand Fury Brougham 400 V8
Nice sirens on the Hazzard County Cruisers!
Hey look ITS THE COUSINS OF THE CORN... the children of the corn where on break at the time.

Rosco drives a Dodge Monaco
Luke Duke: "Seat belt? What is that, Bo?"

Right on 😉
One thing I noticed - Luke Duke was not wearing a seat belt.
stigward duke seat belts weren't required in 1970's and 80's cars just had lap belts
Cooter, Was he trying to put the Dukes in Prison, that was a lot of moonshine he was carrying, moonshine running of course started NASCAR.
This was the only episode of The Dukes of Hazzard that the General Lee didn't appear at all, I wonder why the General wasn't in this episode?
Lee 1 had been totalled lee 2 and 3 were in for repairs
They blow up the blue car at the end of the episode and they didn't want to do it to the general
Because a pregnant lady won’t fit in the windows
Out of all of the characters, Only Boss Hogg and Jesse Duke were in all 145 episodes.
In this episode they walk into a general store and take one pickled peach from a jar and put it back on the shelf

That car is a dodge

Or just watch the full episode on Amazon if you have amazon prime
Fast Fury surprisingly
It was Cooter’s car and he had it souped up.
"U" code 440 HP and 3.23 rear end, the car could really sh_t and git. Surprising for 1975.
