She should have stayed her black ass at home and raised her kids. All of them ended up dope heads and she just left her husband to raise them. Those kids had abandoment issues and I still think to this day Micheal Houston did something to Whitney.

Cissy had every right and reason to be proud of her daughter. Whitney has made a mark on history. The entire world knew her. She actually broke records. She had a career that few people in this world could ever have or even dream of. Whitney is in the history books. I know she is very proud!

Cissy is a legend in her own right. She sang backing vocals on a ton of great music beginning in the '60s with Wilson Picket. She sang with the Oak Ridge Boys when they were an obscure gospel group in the '60s. Her most well-known backing vocals were sung with Erma and Carolyn Franklin on Aretha's biggest hits. At 80 years old, she backed Aretha on her cover of Rolling in the Deep in 2014.

God is a random term not a proper name. Let us not be fooled. Cissy you looking tired girl lol and yall keep your checks she talking about she getting. Stop perpetuating this madness! Some of you are extremely disrespectful and tragically unlearned about The Biz. Cissy Houston never wanted to be an "iconic artist". She has been satisfied earning her living by singing only since the 50s (so she can't be considered unsuccessful) and considering she raised her family off her musical earnings (she has sang AND arranged backup for everybody in the biz) that is pretty successful. People who don't understand the mechanics of the biz shouldn't comment on it. A person doesn't have to be a "star" to be successful in the music industry, you only have to be good at what you do...Cissy Houston set the bar for background vocal arranging. She really changed the game and made backup singers way more valuable to this day.

    • @TheDebgirl12000

newcreature2011 >> A wonderful response! Mrs. Houston lost her own mother when she was 7 years old, and her father when she was 21 years old. People need to read her first autobiography. Her faith is absolutely amazing to me. She never falters or wavers in her faith in the God. She always wanted to have a family and be a supportive and nurturing mother to her children. Mrs. Houston could have had a big career but she chose to be a wife and mother. Mrs. Houston group, "The Sweet Inspirations" were a wonderful and successful gospel group and they backed up many, many recording artists in the music industry. Mrs. Houston made good money, and she was happy with her earnings and she stated this in an interview. She also stated that she enjoyed her life being a mother and grandmother because she was able to provide a good, safe nurturing environment for her family along with her husband. Some of the disrespectful responses are from those who are miserable souls and have nothing better to do than criticize this woman and her family. Some people are never satisfied with anything than putting down others.

It is a shame about her father suing her. That hurt Whitney so much. Her brother's were also on her payroll and took advantage of her financially. Now I do believe Cissy loved her daughter very much. Cissy had her own well established career and didn't need to use Whitney for anything. She's genuine about her daughter. I just feel so bad about Whitney. I wish she was still here. She is so missed.

Greed is always the culprit. Isn't interesting how of her family siblings will never admit their shortcomings, including her mother, indeed they were close and her mother encouraged and disciplined her until Whitney became an adult. As a fan and someone who interacted with Whitney from a distance, she didn't feel loved even prior to stardom, abuse, her parents countless affairs, her brothers drug additions, Whitney falling in love with Robyn Crawford who was her confidant and best friend, regardless of internal issues, cycles of abuse, greed always became an immense concern for Whitney. No family is perfect, if only she could of had the right people by her side, and she had more discipline, I'm certain, she may be still with us today.
Her music is her legend, great memories, especially to those who know the truth!

Cissy is a very tough cookie and i guess she expected her daughter to die from an o.d. very young. The saddest about whitney is that her behavior at the end of her life and because of drug use, was nothing like the little choir girl she had been.. She had become an angry person most of the time, except when she was singing all drugged up. BUT one thing Cissy said is true : there is nothing anyone could have done. Even with interventions, nobody could force peace of mind on someone and to work at it in a detoxication center.

It's true that when you're at the top, someone and something is always trying to pull you down. We can't imagine the pressure and temptation that people like Whitney face. Whitney had a beautiful, loving heart. She was angry at times, but who isn't. Her true nature was love and to care for others - sometimes to the point of exhaustion. People judge the flesh, but God judges the spirit, and her heart/spirit was good...R.I.P.

That's so encouraging for all of us who were concerned about her. She passed on that strong faith to Whitney, who passed it on to Bobbi Kristina. I also noticed that Ms. Cissy has a fierce spirit that Whitney also inherited! It certainly helps when dealing with the media. May God continue to uplift and bless the entire Houston family.

WHITNEY WAS TRULY "THE VOICE" AND JUST BECAUSE PEOPLE THINK SHE LOST HER VOICE SHE DIDN'T. IT ACTUALLY DIDN'T SOUND BAD IN THE LATE 2000s. OF COURSE SHE CANT HIT THOSE NOTES SHE SANG MOST OF HER LIFE. THE PEOPLE THAT SAY STUFF LIKE THAT ARE JUST JEALOUS BECAUSE SHE WAS RICH AND FAMOUS. SHE CHOSE TO LEAD HER LIFE. YOU CAN'T MAKE WHAT YOU WANT TO HAPPEN. SHE MADE GOOD CHOICES HER WHOLE LIFE. SHE WAS ON DRUGS BECAUSE OF HER BROTHER. AND BOBBY INCOURAGED HER. I HEARD THAT WHEN SHE WAS IN HER TEENS SHE SMOKED CIGARETTES. SO WHAT.SHE CHOSE THAT .THAT SHOULDN'T CHANGE THE WAY YOU SEE HER. SHE WILL FOREVER BE LOVED AND MISSED. SHE GAVE US HER ALL UNTIL SHE HAD NO MORE AND I THANK HER FOR INSPIRING ME. I'M NOT SCARED OR SHY TO SING IN FRONT OF ANYONE. SHE WAS AND STILL IS MY FAVORITE SINGER IN THE WORLD.

Asaru Thompson thank you for this lovely and graceful statement that you have made. You look pretty young like around my daughter's age but have a very articulate mind and vocabulary to go with your personality as well which is always a wonderful thing to have. Keep up the hard work and I Pray that you find something that you love to do and succeed in it in every way you can.... And always remember DON'T LISTEN TO TROLLS/HATERS BC THEY ARE AROUND YOU BC OF THE BLATANT JEALOUSY THEY HAVE OVER YOU AND EVEN YOUR LIFE. WHO KNOWS BUT THEY WILL END UP NOT DOING WELL IN LIFE WITH THE ADDITUDES THEY KEEP ON CARRYING AROUND WITH THEM OK. YOUR MUCH BETTER THAN THAT AND THEM...😁👏🙏👊 YOU GOT THIS. AND WHAT A BEAUTIFUL TRIBUTE TO WHITNEY HOUSTON...IT SADDENS ME TO MY COREBC OF HER PERSONALITY TO ME WAS FIRE,FIERCE WHEN IT NEEDED TO BE AND AMAZING WHEN IT CAME TO HER BABY GIRL/DAUGHTER BOBBI AND WITH HER LOOSING HER MOM, BESTFRIEND, MENTOR, I DONT CARE WHAT PPL THINK BUT IDOL BC BEHIND DOORS NOONE KNOWS HOW SHE LIVED AND SHE LOVED HER DAUGHTER TIL THE DAY SHE SADLY PASSED. AND BOBBI was dying more and more everyday her mom was no longer their and for her to make it I believe 3yrs before her own fatality is just very sad but at the same time whitney's in heaven and had met her daughter with probably the most beautiful amazing hug, kisses and all that. Now they have each other which is what they always wanted for life on this earth. And when tragedy struck with her momma. Bobbi probably lost it. I know I did when my bestfriend, the only person to know my deepest darkest secrets and vice versa ect .Is now no longer here my Momma Dukes. And she did the best she could and did and was thee best mom that I could ever be graced with. I used to harbor on my past with childhood trauma with my momma when she was alive and none of anything bad will ever leave mouth about my momma bc she was a human being just like us all. Sept.6th,2019 I could have saved her if it wasnt for the fucking maintenance man. I then threatened to break her door down bc she was not doing well in certain situations and areas but we just went and I always took her to her docs appts and helped her out of the car and into the building and then said to the nurse please she needs someone on her bad side bc she's been starting to fall out of nowhere. They said her bloodwork was great and that her weight was good. They wanted her to put on weight and I said no. Shes 5' flat and when she was 130lbs they said she was sickly skinny and put her on another new med. I said dont take it momma. But all I know is when I found her she wasnt sleeping normally where she wanted to be in that position. She seemed very concerned days prior to make sure all her Bill's made it out and paid and i kept reassuring her that it was taken care of and if she needs anything we only live 1 building away and across the street from one another. A two min walk at most. I moved their for her but never told her bc she's always been very independent and hard headed as I am myself. Thanks momma hey I like it....HA HA HA. But I moved very close to her so when she got older I was right their to help her. Taken her to the hospital alot and brought her home. Not her lazy sons. Ha but karma will be waiting for the best time to ruin your lives and shit for you for how you did mom and esp when cleaning her home out and it was about $$$this and$$$ that.to the point I felt sick to my stomach. I know it broke your heart even more momma but I still treasure you everyday and when chris my brother said to put a needle in baby and end that mean ass cat's life but he took the nice one??? I had a special needs cat at home but I just knew my momma would be hurt like no tom if she then had to watch in heaven her cat be euthanized bc of her being so badly aggressive.... now my momma named her BABY AND NOT REALIZING SHE WAS NAMED AFTER HER MOM. BUT TO MY MOM BABY WAS HER BABY No Matter what she did. My moms arms were scratched up and she always said leave my dam baby alone. So I took Baby after sitting on it for one day. I knew baby since she was born bc I helped the mom give birth when she couldn't push nomore and didnt want any kittens dying. She did her job as a cat mom after getting help only a couple of times but purred and thanked me for helping her babies. So I knew baby and my mom wanted her as soon as I said theirs only one tan, one pure black cat which was going to be mine RIP Charkey😥😢😭🤧 but the rest were orange like the dad named trouble. Now baby has her dad's rage and always hated me for the most part when I'd visit my mom. But when I took her in it took a week and then she traveled around smelling everything which is funny when you watch her bc you can hear it but I made a choice that she will be loved unconditionally while I have her. My bro said 3x's just get the needle for that vicious bitch and dont make it your problem. WTF did I here him say...
Really she probably has PTSD of some sort watching her bestfriend die and she disnt react bc she was already gone. Baby cries alot. She also gets very worried when I have an anxiety attack and gets on me crying and placing trying to calm me down. We had some of the same diagnoses momma and I so baby picked it up. And yes she can be very hard to deal with but she is also.sweet as well and I know my mom is shocked by baby's behavior with me at times bc it's a great way.lol and she was my moms baby and family and I will gladly be her aunt Mandy bc I know that her mom can and will never be replaced so I dont act like I'm MOMMADUKESRIP2019. Ok I went to above and beyond but if you read this post thank you for listening to my thoughts and rambling bc I'm always going to be lost without my MOMMADUKESRIP2019. This is one THING IN LIFE I WILL NEVER GET OVER😥😰😢😭🤧💕 YOUR HEART AND MINE TOGETHER FOREVER MOM. TIL WE MEET AGAIN AND IT WILL BE THE BEST TIME AND DAY/DEATH OF MY ENDED LIFETIME TO JUST SEE YOU AND HUG YOU KNOWING YOUR BACK IS GOOD AND YOUR ABLE TO DO IT ALL.I LOVE YOU MOMMADUKESRIP2019 XOXOXO4EVER AND MORE...

5 years ago I didn’t know who Whitney Houston was. Now, I’m older and I know who she was and is today. Ms Whitney Elizabeth Houston was a lady of love. Nippy was the name she was called for a while, then in 1985 the merv griffin show, 1992 the bodyguard, 1995 the preachers wife, 2012 sparkle are all examples of the life Whitney wanted to live. She was a beautiful women and the voice is now running and flying free in the arms of the lord, safe by his protection and his blood covering all his angels. Each day millions of fans listen to her songs including me. Although I didn’t have the chance to hear her live in person but I know the voice still sings on

I saw an article headline about Cissy's interview over a month ago. I thought it was one of those lying tabloid articles, so I didn't care to click on it. After watching her all too real interview today, I was pleased with the clip. I can add this to one of the VERY FEW respectful, classy, and loving interviews/tributes to Whitney's memory. Whitney is my absolute favorite female artist. Always have been since I was 9 years old. I miss her dearly and I'm glad faith is helping her mother.

Most beautiful thing I've seen. I couldn't look at the news when she died. This is the first time I looked at Whitney since she passed. I had a bad dream about her two days before she died. I told my daughter about and we were grieving heavily. It really freaked us out when her daughter died cause in that dream Whitney was pregnant and I was trying to stop her from walking in a house where death was a man and only the damned went there and I begged her to think about her baby but she softly touched my cheek and said they would be okay. I awoke in tears saying she took her daughter to the house of the damned. This was just a dream only the true Judge says where we go but I couldn't look upon her til today. I don't know why. I was on drugs myself and I was not disappointed but completely prayerful about her return to the God she loved so much. I don't know why I'm even writing this but it's pleagued me everyday since I had that dream. RIP Whitney I will always love you ❤️🙏❤️

+Méchant Boris , when God gives you life, you are responsible for it. It will not be acceptable to lay blame and cause at the feet of another. Whitney was raised in church, as such she was warned what gates not to enter into thereof. Whitney's walk was her own. Mrs. Houston is correct not to be angry and not to throw stones. And, no, I am NOT a relative of Bobby Brown - and, since I know "of" Mr. Brown, I would definitely keep my distance from him. Like Whitney, I too, was raised in church.

If you find the "right one", it always is. In the last days we are warned that "many will come in the name of Christ and they will be wolves among the sheep". In all things, you better know how to chose a leader......your soul may just depend on it.
