This was one of my favorite movies growing up Love it
Ah, Burbs fans unite! I love this movie!!!! And I'm meeting Bruce Dern on Saturday! :) I met Courtney Gains a while back, he signed my dvd "It came with the frame"
one of the best of Jerry Goldsmith R.I.P. thanks for the videos
These old guy's don't leave home without their hair!! Classic film!
I never seen that. I've never seen someone drive they're garbage out and beat the hell out of it with a stick. I've never seen that
One of my favorite movies. saw it in the theater when I was 12.
Go for it Mr. Peterson! Yeah!
Jerry Goldsmith was outstanding. this soundtrack really sounds as if it was made recently. so many cool things like the arrangement and the dog bark haha
"You saw one of my skulls didn't you? Oh yes I know you did." Henry Gibson is so frightening in that role! Hahaha he's very Peter Lorresque in the movie hahaha!!!!
watching it right now actually haha greatest movie of all time!
Love this movie. Timeless humour, great quotes and it even leads me to listening to the soundtrack :)
I can't stop watching this film.
"NO!"
"...about a 9 on the tension scale there, Rube."
I feel your pain. When I see trailers for new movies, they literally all look the same. Plastic in their cinematography, like some college kids shot them with their cell phones, and lots of plastic CGI.
love this thanks man.....
Love this film, really do. I should pick up the DVD some time.
Classic! I miss the feel movies from this time had. Just not the same anymore.
one of my faves!! awesome movie
Oh my god to that bark sound in the rifts, 3:45, most epic sound in a music score. I can drink beer to that sound alone! lol ;)
great film ... great music
then snap! That's us! It's not them it's us! We're the ones hopping over people's fences and peaking in through people's windows. We're the ones throwing garbage in the street and lighting fires. We're the ones acting suspicious and paranoid Art! Us! It's not them!! it's us.
Roland D50 synth featured heavily in this soundtrack. I can spot many presets.
Anyone else besides me ever cover their ears when you hear someone or something that's annoying and recite: "I'm not going to listen to this, I'm not going to hear this now."
Thank You!
You keep a horse in the basement
My brother the doctor !
There go the Goddamn brownies!! LMAO!
@laur100, She really was.
And not to take away from the truth of your observation, frankly, everyone looked gorgeous in this film to some degree. Something about that alive "breathing" natural 80's cinematography made everything look so alive, full of fresh air. It really felt like you were seeing a summertime adventure.
Hanks' best work!
Carrie Fisher was gorgeous in this movie!!!!
First minute of this gives me the chills
The best part in the music was with the synth dog sound effects lol.
I've never seen that...
Bravo!! Thank you!! Now a little Audacity action and I'll have this baby on my iTunes :D
Queeeeee-neeeeeee!!!
Would love to have a copy of the original cd, looked everywhere, no luck.
God I love this street !'
Awesome
Very true, Tom Hanks, Corey Feldman, and not to mention Hans Klopek did look more gorgeous than usual in this movie.
queeeeenieeee!!!!
@masterofillusion1, well it's probably a little too late to do a sequel now. But if it were still possible to do a sequel, honestly, I wouldn't actually care what it was about. I loved the characters, tone, cinematography and atmosphere of the original so much--as long as they retained the same overall feel, I would literally pay to watch these characters go on a bowling trip together.
"Walter's dog just took a dump on Rumsfield's lawn again."
@masterofillusion1 it's funny you mention the "darker feel". When Tom Hanks signed up for the movie he thought it was going to be a more serious kind of movie. He thought the movie would revolve more around Ray Peterson's paranoia about his neighbors. . He didn't think it was going to be such a goofy movie.
"Whatcha got hidin' in the cellar Klopek!?"
ART: What is it?
RAY: It's my neighbour
I wish the klopek's lived in my neighborhood
Ruff-ruff ruff-ruff
Ruff-ruff ruff-ruff
@WastedPo Amazing video. Edited like a pro.
Ray....this is Walter! Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!
@1101Aron Lol that's the same as 10/10 :D
@WastedPo very true it did
BTW..RIP John Candy
Listen up tuna-neck...
What happened to movies like this? Too many unimaginative suits took over the studios ,that's what! This industry is all about gambling on a project...the suits got greedier and lost their balls!!!
danger is my middle name
I don’t understand that it was parked outside ALL DAY !!!😡
Magical ❤
Best movie ever! First time I saw it was 1992, I was 12 years old back then. I recorded it with my old 80's VCR and must have watched that crooked tape over 200 times until I finally got a Burbs DVD 3 years ago. :D
