What is the safety track record of those heaters? Any fires and I do mean ANY FIRES ever in their history? I'm really considering buying a setup similar to this, but if there's a snowball's chance in hell of it catching fire count me out. I have priced a new gas-powered heat exchange truck mount and they've gone up significantly. I typically clean 100 ft. over 90% of the time with under 150 ft 99.99% of the time. I would want a machine with auto fill and auto dump that's reliable and has a sufficient pump that won't break down in less than a year. A machine like that needs a heavy-duty pump similar to a truck mount or I wouldn't want it. I'm leaning more toward the Mytee electric TM setup with that heater. I do have serious reservations about the heater. If it's not perfectly safe it's not going in any van of mine.
If you have fear of diesel then you should get the electric instead. Diesel is popular because it cuts your cleaning time by a 1/3rd. Which results in a higher income per hour. The way it does this is by raising the boiling point of water from 212 degrees to over 240 degrees and then sending that to the user in water form, not vapor. We haven't had any injuries with the diesel heaters that are made for us. There are a lot of safeties built into it. But, that doesn't mean it won't happen in the future. Especially if the user is lax about safety and maintenance. We sell everything. Including gas fired truckmouts. Everyone has a specific need. For example, our NYC customers would never be able to use a gas fired truckmount. For them a porable or ETM is a better option. Customers in the Northern part of the US have a cold winter and a gas fired truckmount will need to be protected from the weather. For those users, ETM would be more sensible, so they can just store them inside during the cold months. There is a lot of misinformation in our industry.
