I love the TED videos. Thank you so much for posting them and for free. Education should be free for all and easy to reach and absorb, just like your videos and content. Thank you so much to TED and all the speakers and everybody that it takes to make the talks happen! It's much appreciated
ZeFrank... 12k views. Time is a cruel mistress. Most of my time on UA-cam has been spent trying fill the hole ZeFrank left and at this point I don't think it ever will be.
I'm elderly and the world that Ze is talking about revolts me on a foundational level. It goes from being present in one's life, present for your relationships to this dissociative on-line-only friends who aren't friends at all. Its easy to be an on-line friend. A friend that helps you move is a real friend, who comes over with soup when you are sick, who attends the funeral of your parent, partner or child with you. As such, real life friends mean more because they require more effort, more commitment. Plus, real life relationships are messy while on-line relationships typically aren't, or are in general, less so. Get a card in the mail, someone had to go find a real card, write something, get/have/use a stamp/envelope, physically mail it. All this versus an email card where all you really did is sign up the person you sent the e-card to for an avalanche of spam, telemarketing and perhaps junk mail - gee, thanks for thinking of me....... Then there are all the females who are sending naked pics to men and then are dismayed when they or their friends/parents/children find their image on the Internet. Really?! That's astounding ! (Please note sarcasm). Why any woman would do this is beyond me; its the equivalent to putting a paper bag over your head and running around on a highway. I'm not sure if this happens to every generation, but it seems so. Grandparents the world over and through time, shake their heads at the cultural and society changes, baffled. Whether its those undesirables going to the theater to watch plays written by this unknown hack, "Shakespeare," crazy kids engaging in the scandalous passtime of square dancing, male hippies with long hair, males with earrings, or the Internet, or mass social media. This grandmother is shaking her head, likely following the long tradition of doing so...... .
Stephanie Halim nah - look at him. He commanded an army of sports racers at Buzzfeed. It’s kinda glorious. Like he said, there’s a stream of people who want to make stuff and he was their mentor.
ze, I miss you and your videos so much.

I'm right handed, I always drink my coffee left handed, I really don't get the mug joke, cups turn both ways...
@RooRooMEB - I think he was referring to the orientation of the way a coffee cup is set before you in a restaurant, say.
Great, now make new "true facts". Please.

andybaldman do you think he lost his soul? or never had one?
I think he still has it - a lover of media in a scientific tinkerers’ body.
