It was a hard time for our fandom. Then this song came out and we all cried collectively. It was like BTS knew how much hate we were getting and was telling us that it sucks and that "we can't always walk on a flower path", but things will be okay. Also, they make several references here. For one, 2!3! is what they say when they first introduce themselves as BTS. Did you notice they always say "2!3! Hello we are BTS!" The chorus is referring to that - that when they say 2!3! to just forget our worries. Suga talks about the hate they get as idols. J-hope's part - he refers to us and the rest of the members as "the flowers in Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa" (HYYH) also known as "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life" which is the series that put BTS on the map imo, with the core theme being about YOUTH and growth (using flowers as a metaphor). So yeah, this song is something else. And they usually sing this song at the end of their concerts with all of the fans (= there are videos of it when BTS turns off the music and the fans just sing and it's so freaking beautiful
edit: this also is much different from fan songs released by other idols groups that say "we love you! thank you! we're so happy to have such great fans!" I have never seen a fan song like this (a kpop fan since 2009) It's sad but hopeful. BTS is comforting us instead, saying "we're not going to lie to you, life can be pretty shitty and unfair, but we can forget our worries when we're together"
