Hello, why when I choose the 5 lane compatibility, I just have one cymbal used during the song ? Is 5 lane not supposed to be the more realistic version of drums ?
5 lane refers to the way the original guitar hero games (not the rock band ones) displayed songs. The rock band drumset had 4 lanes (3 of them were dual purpose, with a cymbal and tom sharing lanes) and guitar hero had 5. Clone hero primarily uses the Rock Band format. Don't choose 5 lane for a midi kit in your case.
With the TD-11, I would recommend using a standard MIDI cable to USB like this amzn.to/4bfLRXh. The USB output on the TD-11 can be tricky because it requires a Roland driver that doesn't always work with all apps. The standard MIDI output doesn't require any driver.

This is the major flaw in Clone Hero. There's not one really good source and many of the songs seem to have been transcribed by non-drummers, who in trying to make things hard, just make them weird and bad. You just have to google, Clone Hero Songs, and dig through the mess until you find some www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=clone+hero+songs
Is Clone Hero supposed to save your MIDI mappings? Every time I boot it up, I have to redo my preferred mappings for my e-drum set. I cannot find whether this is normal or not anywhere online.
@@demonicsweaters Sorry, I'm using Windows 10. I wonder if some folders/files are missing. Maybe a delete/redownload will fix it, so I'll give that a try. But, it's great to know that I shouldn't have to remap every time. Thank you very much!
I finally figured that it wasn't saving my midi mappings because I had my e-drums connected to my PC via a midi to USB cable. When I switched to a USB printer cable, it created an e-drum mappings save file in the MIDI Settings folder. Maybe that will help someone in my same predicament.
@@ryansmith2701 i've got a printer usb cable and a midi to usb cable but can't get either to recognize the input device in clone hero. how'd you get it to work?
Doesn't work for me. I've got a USB-A to B cable going from drums to PC. It makes a noise when I plug it in to the USB port. When I go to select devices nothing shows up. None of the drums do anything in the menu when I have drums selected. Help!
Got mine setup and ran into a ghost input issue that I cannot find anywhere about it. The hi-hat and snare cannot be hit at the same time or it will drop one of the inputs. Same for tom 1 and 2, they can't be hit together, so currently I have to stagger my inputs to keep combos. Holding both kick pedals down also makes the ride symbol unresponsive until I lift off of them, it's like it can't handle or process that many inputs at once. Does anybody know of a fix for this? Is it the cable that's causing the problem or is it the kit itself just being bad? The kit I bought is like a 200 dollar AODSK kit, so probably the absolute cheapest you can find.
I just bought the same kit and I’m having the same issue. In the drum module, if you set the crosstalk different for each pad, it kinda helps but still having issues. Tried changing velocity and over hit settings under mappings in game, but still not 100% fixed. I think a simple 1/4 Y splitter will fix the issue with the pedal for the hi hat if you route it both through the kick from module, so I’m gonna order one and try that. If anyone can help with this issue, please let us know!!
