Nemean Lion is a fragrance from Argos I'm really curious about, can't wait for you to talk about it. Heard some good and some bad words about the brand. I saw they have some sweet fragrances which I believe would put me off and idk about that mysore sandalwood claim but who knows. I might get a sample set, should've got one when I was in the US. Not that curious now after the review, but again, maybe others are better! Also, great what the Texans did to the Browns last night, what a blowout! The state of Texas might go to the Super Bowl this year! Both teams look great! Cheers, Ramsey!
I love Nimean Lion. It's strong animalic leather up front, but the animalic side calms down quite a bit as it dries down. It's not overly sweet to me at all.
@@ndhaon91 That is why it got my attention, I love these type of fragrances. Animalic, with leather, labdanum, they get me every time. Now for sure it’s high up on the to smell list, thank you!
@@andreicutar9959it’s mainly oud and leather, a very nice scent. Only thing I’d say is it’s not worth $375 at least for me, many scent profiles that are similar, cool bottle though
I've only tried a Triumph of Bacchus by Argos and it was a solid scent. It improved Red Tobacco in some ways but not worth a purchase to me as of now. I love their presentation though! I'm interested in seeing what other "masculine" roses you like. I have a few decants of rose fragrances coming in but most are unisex.
I have reviewed a few on the channel... Creed Royal Mayfair has a beautiful masculin Rose as does Chanel Antaues .... have reviews on the channel for both The Creed is a comparison video between old and new juice but close enough Next on the masculin Rose list to review is Lyric Man, Azzaro Acteur & Aramis 900
I've sampled everything from Argos and honestly all of there fragrances smell designer fragrances but with better quality oils" the presentation, bottles and atomizer are beautiful ! Unfortunately the juice inside is nothing unique in my opinion. Lol
The rose fragrances that clicked for me were Lyric Man and also, Portrait of A Lady which was an easy love for a patchouli fiend like myself. Its too bad POL has been reformulated to tone down the patchouli now and I'm thankful to have a vintage bottle. You are spot on about Argos. I didn't trust them initially because of their free bottles marketing and lack of transparency on who the real perfumers are, but I am now beginning to think that these scents indeed were constructed by the same, amateur perfumer. Every single scents that I tried from this house has that "juvenile," try-hard element to them and too many of them are sickeningly sweet. I did enjoy Danae which is also a bit too sweet for me but overall, it's a well blended and competent barbershop scent. I don't think you'll enjoy Bacchus... It's a sweet vanilla bomb with a synthetic tobacco combo, which we see too often in the current perfume market.
That was one I was curious to see when I sent those, the thing people talk about in that scent , is the raspberry. Bachuus is like a better Red Tobacco . Wouldn’t know , o just like Bachuus
I’ve smelled 3 from this house, including this one. If you put this juice in a Xerjoff, PDM or Initio bottle I’d believe it. Honestly, it feels like it comes from the same type of material/juice provider in Oman. Just meh to me. I tend to give brands the benefit of the doubt, but this feels a lot like the other influencer-led brands in quality.
It's from greek myth and is called -ά-(THO)NIS not AD-ό-NIS, not my type of scent it leans a bit feminine to me. From the discovery set i liked a lot "Brivido Della Caccia" and "Bacio Immortale" but i'm a leather enthusiast so don't trust my comment 🙄
I’m watching this purely for entertainment value. I fully expect an Argos fragrance to be the epitome of superficial beauty. We already have Roja Parfums, so we really don’t need any more owners that pretend to be a perfumer.
Shill brand, I won't touch them, but thank you candor. Try Rose Jamal by by Les Indemodables. Amazing. Scent of the day, Pierre Gullimaine Animal Mondaine.
I recognised the artist straight away as I worked where the related painting, 'Hylas and the Nymphs' hangs. The Awakening of Adonis is in the collection of Andrew Lloyd Webber. It has been reproduced the wrong way round. Sloppy
Ahhhh that is an interesting catch Tim... i love Art & love the concept.... unfortunately the juice inside the bottles is meh 🤷🏻♂️ I will keep testing but unfortunately the highlight might be the sloppy artwork for me 😅😅😅
Well he claims to be.....I never had any reason to doubt his integrity! Maybe he received some formal training somewhere....or maybe he's just full of shit lol. I really don't know
@@Robbyfrags90 i dont know for sure... but my guess is you dont just go from real estate mogul to perfumer lol That is a serious undertaking... so my guess is these are created by an actual perfumer
@RamseytheRam what was that you mentioned about Roja Dove? Do you not believe he creates his own perfume either? Because I've heard that before and it was in the ghost perfumer book or something like that
It was in the ghost perfumer book...sylvaine Delacourte said Roja Dove is not a perfumer and he never was one ... I dont have any insight one way or another... just like Creed claimed to be the perfumer of their own perfumes only to find out there were perfumers like Pierre Bourdon & Julien Rasquinet making creeds it wouldnt surprise me if the same was true of Argos & Roja Dove... but I dont know 🤷🏻♂️
@RamseytheRam just thought about it from a past video. Tell me the name of it and I will follow u. I follow Scents of South Jersey on there and thought I should know the name of your mercari for those times when u do put something up on the site. I just open a mercari for some vintage jewelry.
@@RamseytheRam it falls in the same category as all these new Niche Houses that bring out a bunch of fragrances a year and they all smell the same, because everyone is on the same supplies. Cashmerewood here Amberwood there, damn so disappointed!

I would put Argos ahead of PDM / Initio... SLIGHTLY ahead 😅😅😅
Hated what I’ve smelled from Argos so far….Adonis can stay sleep. Only good thing is artworks on bottles are awesome.

I'm pretty sure Christian Petrovich is the perfumer of his own brand.
I doubt that is the case man 😂😂😂
He needs to just man up and list the perfumer
