I don’t think Turkmenistan can be considered “above average” economically if their entire lavish capital city is empty because people can’t afford to live there.

10:57 Morse code was built by using an indirect measure of the frequency of the letters in English (how many times a letter is used in a given vocabulary), and then assigned the shorter codes to more frequently used letters. For the same reason, letters rarely used are more difficult to use in a word (they are used in less words), so they have more value in a Scrabble game. not a coincidence they are strongly linearly correlated.

Topology (essentially the mathematical study of holes) is pretty interesting, and according to it you're right; straws only have one hole. In fact, straws, donuts, and coffee mugs are all topologically identical! You can also use it (and VSauce did use it) to prove that the human body has seven holes.

I seriously wonder how the hell they actually get data for these maps
Like, do they ask like 10 people from each country the question or what?

As a Greek the reason Greece wastes so much food is because their culture is that you cook a huge 5 course meal every day and eat what you want so not all of it gets eaten.

A hole in the road most likely has no exit to the other side and we call that a single hole. A straw does have an exit to the hole you put your mouth over so if that is called a single hole then by logic the aforementioned road hole is not one since it has no exit so I’ve got to say that a straw has 2 holes
