Robin Williams gave one hell of a performance in Awakenings and he worked beautifully with an equally brilliant Bob DeNiro.
He also broke Robert De Niro's nose in one scene for real (accidentally)

I don't always agree with Siskel and Ebert, but they're so entertaining nevertheless. I just discovered them last year and I love watching them
True, I don't agree with them a lot of the time, but always enjoy them anyway.
Damn I really liked Mermaids and thought it was a great movie!

I have seen that movie a thousand times because I like it but there is something creepy about it.

@@daughterofolaf It's not creepy, it's just a different time period and the characters make bad choices as part of who they are. It's a period piece, a film set in the 60's and made in the late 80's.
Havana is one my favorite movies.
They liked Havana WAY more than I did. A pale comparison to Casablanca.
I never saw it, but people I knew said it was very boring.
@@ericnelson9100 it’s very slow moving but the photography is eye popping. Cuba looks good. And Redford of course looks good in a suit
I like both films. Casablanca is a classic. But I would not say it’s a pale comparison.
Redford =Deadbeat !
Mermaids also had what I believe was the first theatrical performance by a very young Christina Ricci, showing signs of greater things to come.
