Talking about people charge a fortune, What would you charge for something like this, machining and assembling a Barra? I've got a standard turbo one in my car atm it's making 410kw on 98 and has 260k on it though so might be in the market for one if and when it gives up. Would be good to know how much I need to save.
@CAIDMASTEROFPYRO spewing but I'll let you know in the next few days my car just blew up 1h ago lol so going full built bottom end with another place. I'll let you know what they say for price
@@stevecvntniko8271 That's rough as man, my mates blew up about a month ago, he put in some big cams and the VCT gave up after about 10mins, every intake valve bent dented every piston.. He already had atomic pistons, rods, girdle etc. ready to go, and I found a block on fb marketplace that had already been machined for 20thou over pistons and was ready to go. engines just about done and ready to go back in the car. all up he's in it about 5k but that's very much because of the lucky block find $600 for a fully machined ready to go block
Good job mate

Great stuff second part 👍
Didn't even check clearance on pump gears 🤷
Primero, Gracias Mi Amigo
What’s a rebuild usually cost approximately
Shit and all this time I’ve been putting the flat side of the washer down
mate you did not torque the allen key studs on the oil pump or check clearances. you did not set the timing chain up properly either
Lol it was a 11 minute video, there was hours of work condensed down
Great you showed us how to do a good job without spending an absolute fortune. I know I don’t even need an engine stand thank you.

I got quoted 10k not including valve springs and head studs cause my motor already had them
The quote wasn't from this guy it was from empire Sydney
@@stevecvntniko8271 Yeah I've also got valve springs headstuds and pump gears, would just need bottom end stuff
