Also, Tokoyami is easy to explain, his quirk is dark shadow, but it's very possible that he has a mutation aspect in his genes maybe from one of his parents or a long distance relative. Quirks aren't as simple as three neat little categories, despite that probably being how they started out. Take Jirou for example. Jirou quirk is 'Earphone Jack', she has a mutation that gives her earphone jacks hanging from her ears, that when plugged into a speaker of some kind, allows her to project her heartbeat, but it also gives her increased hearing. She can also extend her earphone jacks giving them a small transformation ability. So while Jirou only has one quirk, it is a mutation, emitter, AND transformative type quirk.
My headcannon for takoyami's head situation is that his quirk is actually mutation being his head and darkshadow was just a by product of that mutation quirk, maybe his brain was structured in a weird way to allow basically 2 beings to coexist together, but that's just headcannon

But actions still are louder than words. It’s undeniable on how much hard work Asta actually puts it compared to Deku. Asta worked hard knowing very well the chances of him getting magic is very slim, but Deku only worked hard after knowing he will get the best quirk ever.
@@mysterroniouscherry326 its ironic that the top heroes arr always the ones with the best quirks, but villains like Toga and Stain manage to do a lot with physical ability alone. I feel like if more heroes were more reliant on physical ability rather than just their quirk, Deku may have been inspired to do physical training too. Imagine years worth of working out like that. He would've been on a similar physical level to bakugo. And it's clear he takes good notes and is very observant. Instead of horikoshi giving him ofa, izuku could've made him name in the hero world with his skills which i think was the original moral. The law enforcement work with heroes all the time. One of the biggest reasons I have for hating My Hero was because it felt like the show was nothing but a glorified power fantasy revolved around Deku. I understand that he is the main character in all but, what is the point of introducing all of these characters if in the end it just feels like they’re there to inflate his ego? Even the villains did it, it just got really old and eventually I started calling My Hero, “Deku Dick Suck.”
They should made this anime more like super hero writing not like shounen even Naruto had some stakes at some point but this is just feel good anime. When i was watching mha s6 my whole time face was 😐 I didn't feel anything
I'm starting to think that marvel gave very vague explanations about the abilities of characters such as Spider-Man on purpose to avoid people poking holes on them, like you just did with mha's quirks.
I'll give you a real reason Eri is here, she has one of the most op healing quirks in the manga or anime, think about if there becomes a squeal with kota, Katsuma, & Eri at UA High, she would have to train hard to keep control while also conquering her trauma with her quirk. She would be an amazing squeal protagonist and she'd probably be more realistic than Mary Sue- oh I mean Deku. If you want a reason she's currently in the show? She's there to heal Mirio and help Deku. Sure that may seem boring, but I wouldn't be surprised if Horikoshi is planning on making a next gen mha after the final, which should be out by the end of 2023 btw. Eri would be the perfect protagonist for this possible spin off, a traumatized, yet morally good character, that has real ptsd as a hindrance to her power? The squeal could have a villain (most likely for one ark) with a similar quirk to Overhaul, causing Eri to be unable to fight him/her/them or be at risk of a panic attack. Aizawa would be there to help and guide her. Kota and Katsuma could help her by explaining their own experiences with Villains. The overarching message could be about how trauma is hard, but having friends and family to help can make things at least a little better!
14:39 Izuku kinda reminds of Rock Lee a bit, without all the shittons of effort and training for most of his life of course. Another parallel would be Goku (before all the retcons) because he was born as a low class and only reached higher levels of power due to his own effort (for the most part).
Ofcourse he can pass it through blood, all one needs to do to pass ofa is to take in their DNA, and ofcourse Bakugo can use it faster than Deku, Deku didn't have a quirk before to have the experience on how to use it but bakugo did
Unrelated thought : It would've been better if Eri was a hero from the future, who suffered a misfortune due to her quirk malfunctioning. As a result her body and her time was slowly reversing until the mental strain was so immense that she quite literally began acting like a child in order for her brain to protect herself. That would tie in to the Quirk Singularity Doomsday...
8:52 There's a good reason why channels with high subs don't use this "shouting" joke. It drives people away and can genuinely cause damage to people using headphones. I was enjoying this video until this dumb moment. Use better jokes.
Just because there's a scientific explanation on how a character's power works doesn't mean it must be applied to everyone, that's just a petty nitpick
Izuku didn’t develop or changed throughout the manga. When MHA ended he lost OFA & was rendered powerless, gave up his dream for 8 years & became teacher.
@@KeltkeGH He became a teacher thinking he can use his Knowledge of quirks to help teach his students. Yet, deep down he STILL wanted to be a hero. His friends / classmates left him hanging for 8 years. They gave him that power armor as a afterthought
Yea, I feel like Eri's inclusion was a mistake. I also feel that Shigaraki had a great arc that was ruined by AFO. I do also wish that Deku was more like the Sokka or Armin of his show but understand that All Might choosing Deku as his successor was the point. Horikoshi is still learning when it comes to writing so maybe his next work will be even better. I'm always willing to root for artists who take criticism and use it to better themselves.
@@lbrett7054 Probably limit the class size to 10 ppl max. Especially if it's meant to be some kind of elite superhero school. So they've got to be the best of the best. Perhaps UA could be like a franchise school, so you could have another class of around 10 students( from class 1B). And perhaps they could take part in the sports festival. By doing this every character could get developed much better. On top of this i would rapidly increase the pacing. And i would also do a better job at making the top heroes and top villains seem completely out of reach in terms of power. By doing this it really puts an emphasis on how powerful they are , similar to how gojo was in jjk. I'd also provide some limitations on deku's abilities, because at the end of the most recent season , he is pretty much the most powerful hero , being able to spam multiple quirks with virtually no downsides .(bearing in mind he's doing this all in his first year at UA, surely it would've been better if he became this powerful as he was graduating from UA and becoming a newly qualified hero)
@@lbrett7054 Also i think the villains could be more compelling. They aren't terrible, but shigaraki just follows the rather bland "neglected as a child" formula .
@@broskibrobro1278 I like your thinking. Though I feel like mha is rushed and should have been a lot longer with major events are spread out more, I was thinking of taking sorta harry potter-like approach where the group deals with different obstacles every year, with the series ending after the third year and their fully fledged pro heroes, overhaul could have been the main antagonist for the majority of the second year and shit really hits the fan about halfway through the third year. As for the villains, a few of them should have a few tweaks: Shigaraki: I'd personally make Shigaraki less child minded, have him be a bit more like loki (from marvel), be a cunning schemer with a very fragile ego, also not great at physical combat apart from trying to one shot enemies with his quirk so he has others do the dirty work most of the time. As for the "I just want to destroy" mindset, I mostly think that's alright (for Shigaraki's past and mindset), just needs tweaking. Shigaraki's quirk is decay, right? Well decay doesn't just destroy, it also gives nutrition for new life. So I was thinking that maybe Shigaraki wants to destroy the current world for a new and "better" one to form, kinda like ultron (also from marvel). I admit, this sounded better in my head. Dabi: For dabi, I honestly feel like going with a more fandom approach to his character, where he still cares about his family and just hates endeavor. I know it's cliche and some people might not like that, but I feel like they could have done more with his character with that route. I've got a detailed idea on how that would play out but I'll just keep it blunt for now. Compress: That backstory about the whole robin hood ancestor was an arsepull. But it would have been pretty good if it was flushed out more. Maybe compress never took his ancestry seriously and used it as something to brag about over a beer or something. But at a point in his life; he was really struggling to find work and he saw how messed up society is, so decided to take up the manual and follow in his grandfather's footsteps. Maybe his extremely charitable and these actions annoy the other league members. Spinner: Keeping most of it the same, stain supporter, mutant discrimination etc. (Mutant discrimination should be a much bigger subject in mha) He'd have some noticeable costume differences from stain, clearly less experienced than stain but far from a pushover, uses his primal abilities for an edge in combat, a tail (I just think it's strange he doesn't have one), more reptilian behaviours. I'm unsure about the hair (because how would he be able to grow hair if his covered in scales?). Basically his goal is to save mutants from discrimination, and like compress just a nice dude wanting to help others. Also, for some reason he stopped supporting stain and started supporting shigaraki, that doesn't really make sense so I'd not have that happen. I'm quite tired at the moment so I probably didn't word this as well as I could have. Also any other ideas?
5:33 True, but that goes to Bakugos quirk as well? You can't seriously think it's in any way scientific that our body can produce explosive compound AND that the user can use it close range without blowing themselves to bits. Bakugos quirk is only slightly explained and it still isn't very scientific especially since I think later we learn he can remote detonate the sweat? Like how tf does THAT work? That's not scientific at all Seriously story and character writing are kinda way bigger issues with MHA and not quirks having zero/almost no logic behind them.
I get what your saying about Izuku, but come on man ,he was literally a 14 year old teen who was bullied by Bakugo and alot of other people all his childhood and didn't have too much confidence in himself, plus his mom didn't have to muvh faith in him becoming a hero ,so you really expect him to be able to train and build gadgets without anyone to motivate him?
@@KeltkeGH he did ,taking notes and researching on Heroes was the only thing he could do ,besides it's not like the world was completely stopping him from having hope in being a hero but he did essentially give up by not training.
I think Thats an issue I had with mhas system early on. When going to Naruto one piece or Bleach the powers are more magical while mha has more biological powers so it got confusing as hell later down the line thinking.oh so...the. eeast guy,the comic guy, shinso, monoma now I have so many thoughts a about their powers. Ii think frederator did a video on like how characters powers work like how tokoyami has a bird head and an emitter quirk or how some people manifested theirs like toru or present mic. Like was she invisible one day and just poofed?? I thought quirks manifested at 4+ so how did mic burst the doctors eardrums when he was first born? Mha needs to stay on a line that doesn't lean too heavily into magic. Thats why stars and stripes quirk seemed like some shit out of hunter hunter. A random little girl is just born with this work breaking ability like-
If eri doesnt rewind and return back everyone to A OK health, im the biggest idiot. She existes simply for the purpose of plot convenience. Why else is she overstaying her welcome in ua academy?
Maybe it's cuz she can't control it properly and could accidentally kill them, maybe it's cause the HERO SCHOOL is trying to help her master one of the most dangerous quirks in the verse
@ThePseudoIntellectual In defense of Eri, I think she represents the real life parallel od human trafficing and how child labor is a renewable resource for our capitalist society. So if a world where human weapons are praised why not make an underground/mirror empire of that society with the untapped potential of that resource. She is yes, a mcguffin, but a criticism of how we discard children that don't fit into the mold and now reused in products/services that we are ignorant to; whether by choice or not. This is at least my take on it, I saw corrections and along with Overhaul's idealistic philosophy of erasing the current political/military powerhouse of quirks it just made sense to me.

Incredible that you talked about likeable characters and immediately showed LIGHT YAGAMI
I’m pretty sure Mina’s skin is the result of her body protecting her body from her acid quirk.
Small point- Asta had the hope that getting a grimoire would awaken his magic, while Deku didnt have anything like that
All the more reason for dude to at least try and do something to get stronger
But actions still are louder than words. It’s undeniable on how much hard work Asta actually puts it compared to Deku. Asta worked hard knowing very well the chances of him getting magic is very slim, but Deku only worked hard after knowing he will get the best quirk ever.
@@mysterroniouscherry326 its ironic that the top heroes arr always the ones with the best quirks, but villains like Toga and Stain manage to do a lot with physical ability alone. I feel like if more heroes were more reliant on physical ability rather than just their quirk, Deku may have been inspired to do physical training too. Tbh if he had become a quirkless hero who uses support items intelligently, that could've been cool
@@shubhamghoshal2939like if Deku tried to figure out something a few times then got shot down by doubters then yeah, he has an excuse to give up. He didn't, he gave up at the first sign of trouble.

Izuku got a one on a billion chance of luck. The work all might made him do so he could handle ofa is work he couldve done his whole life. He got jacked in a couple months. Izuku could've joined them and used his amazing observations skills to help heroes improve and find villains weaknesses. That is worthy of respect

"Doesn't train his body" Training mind>>>>Training body

if hes mind so well trained why dont he start a business to fund his gadgets?
not to mention that if he gets to UA, the school will have fund his gadgets like they did with bakugous granades

When i was watching mha s6 my whole time face was 😐
I didn't feel anything
The sheer irony that you hated BC but came to respect it and vice versa with BNHA is PEAK
BC?
@@exaltedfalcheon1793 Black Clover
Can't believe me a casual my hero hater just found these video damm
Great vids
Ofcourse he can pass it through blood, all one needs to do to pass ofa is to take in their DNA, and ofcourse Bakugo can use it faster than Deku, Deku didn't have a quirk before to have the experience on how to use it but bakugo did
did he say the f word LMAOO
Unrelated thought : It would've been better if Eri was a hero from the future, who suffered a misfortune due to her quirk malfunctioning. As a result her body and her time was slowly reversing until the mental strain was so immense that she quite literally began acting like a child in order for her brain to protect herself. That would tie in to the Quirk Singularity Doomsday...
21:40 🤣 that's a nice one
bro that thumbnail holy crap thats so weird i like it
he might be overthinking things, but I don’t care. This is a fun video.
Dude, could you turn on the subtitles of the video, I'm terrible with English and it helps to understand the video better

I do actually

21:01 thank you I’m not the only one finally
Same here I literally did not care about Eri at all
8:52 There's a good reason why channels with high subs don't use this "shouting" joke. It drives people away and can genuinely cause damage to people using headphones. I was enjoying this video until this dumb moment. Use better jokes.
Asta is such a gigachad compared to Izuku, yet Black Clover gets all the hate
"I'm gonna compare Deku to Asta" And I skipped several seconds ahead, can't y'all just criticize a character without the need of comparing them?
I definitely feel like his hate on Deku is a little bias and his not really being fair at all about him.
But.. the comparison is completely valid. It doesn't make sense for Deku to want to be a hero but really do nothing for so many years.
Just because there's a scientific explanation on how a character's power works doesn't mean it must be applied to everyone, that's just a petty nitpick
Izukus reaction isn’t even realistic a lot of people put in the work
Izuku didn’t develop or changed throughout the manga. When MHA ended he lost OFA & was rendered powerless, gave up his dream for 8 years & became teacher.
@@Karlos1234ify so in other words, Deku really learned nothing and basically wasted all the experience he had gotten.
@@KeltkeGH He became a teacher thinking he can use his Knowledge of quirks to help teach his students. Yet, deep down he STILL wanted to be a hero. His friends / classmates left him hanging for 8 years. They gave him that power armor as a afterthought
Perhaps some quirks a psychic in nature? That could be an explenation
Good to see the series get the beat down it deserves. Also like the Black Clover shout out. It is one of my favorite series.
Black clover is fucking garbage
Is that Dark Cloud music I hear in the background? I see you're a person of culture as well. 😌
Ashidosskin Is pink because of the ACID in her body, yes Its a stupid explanation, but Its there
21:34 hahahaha 😂😂😂
My I ask how you'd personally fix this series?
Personally i think it's too late, you can't really develop so many characters, this deep into the story
@@broskibrobro1278 Oh no, I'm just if you were in charge of writing mha, how would you do it without having any "problems"?
As for the villains, a few of them should have a few tweaks:
Shigaraki: I'd personally make Shigaraki less child minded, have him be a bit more like loki (from marvel), be a cunning schemer with a very fragile ego, also not great at physical combat apart from trying to one shot enemies with his quirk so he has others do the dirty work most of the time.
(Mutant discrimination should be a much bigger subject in mha)
He'd have some noticeable costume differences from stain, clearly less experienced than stain but far from a pushover, uses his primal abilities for an edge in combat, a tail (I just think it's strange he doesn't have one), more reptilian behaviours.
Ochacho shields the objects in a electromagnetism field and makes the atoms to loose it's mass
Was this explained in yhe series .
Also that's not how gravity works, electromagnetic fields don't just turn off gravity .
13:35
5:33 True, but that goes to Bakugos quirk as well?
You can't seriously think it's in any way scientific that our body can produce explosive compound AND that the user can use it close range without blowing themselves to bits.
Bakugos quirk is only slightly explained and it still isn't very scientific especially since I think later we learn he can remote detonate the sweat? Like how tf does THAT work? That's not scientific at all
Seriously story and character writing are kinda way bigger issues with MHA and not quirks having zero/almost no logic behind them.
maybe his skin is resistance to explosions, like snakes that are inmune to its own poison
Feels like you barely scratched the surface of the issues with this show. There’s definitely enough flaws for part 3
8 51
They don't give an exsplaination for why bakugos quirk works, they vaugly discribe it.
Then he should have gave up completely on being a hero way before.
@@KeltkeGH he did ,taking notes and researching on Heroes was the only thing he could do ,besides it's not like the world was completely stopping him from having hope in being a hero but he did essentially give up by not training.
in conclusion most of his complaints are nitpicky or opinion based
I think Thats an issue I had with mhas system early on. A random little girl is just born with this work breaking ability like-
Bakugos apology sucked
The biggest problem with this show is that it's a generic high shool anime first and shounen second
And can't do either well.
I agree with everything except for Endeavor. His redemption arc was completely undeserved if you take into account all the bad stuff he’s done. At the very least there should have been a divorce
Guy lost his reputation, his oldest son hates him and almost killed him, lost an arm, and the series is still isn't over.
He's the only one from the main cast other than Twice who suffered consequences.
@@kevintanza6968 He was already forgiven long before these things happened. That’s like going to jail for murder, then suddenly being freed and months later you get stabbed in an alleyway by the brother of the guy you killed. So no, it doesn’t count if it happens after their development. What the hell is the punishment for now? Put his character development to the test? Bullshit, it’s just dumb at this point. If pretty much any other show like this manages to make a characters punishment and character development happen at the same time, My Hero Academia has no excuse. In fact, it does tons of things wrong that many other shows don’t, like forgetting about its themes for five seasons, only to suddenly jolt up and yell SHIT during the sixth season like a student that just remembered he has homework due in an hour. Please dickride Endeavor somewhere else next time

I personally think that this show would have been a million times better if it followed Tomura and the LOV and their struggles against the society that wronged them then… whatever the fuck it is we got

What is actually good at this show actually there is nothing hardworking or inspiring from deku atleast bakugo had that spice
This tries to be neutral it fails so badly
This show have bunch of fatherless villains who are sad because parents like they milk this so much that it makes us viewers not to root for them.
Akatsuki from Naruto each one have their own ideology and good agendas
One piece pirates and marines have their own agendas
The Marineford and pain arc were way better than war arc in mha
No lol...
Excellent video.
Eri is the dragon balls
Loud doesnt equal funny my dude
P.S. I still enjoy the show for what it does well. horikoshi just abandons a lot of great plot points, which is unfortunate.
Horikoshi should just have Sir Nighteye show up at the end to help the heroes fight against the league of villains.
The show is already a dumpster fire, why not see how low we can take this baby
Also, yeah, I saw one of the movies and it was terrible. That quirk-stealing guy was awful, like imagine working for a guy who wants to steal a child's dream and ability and there is no way it took Iida, Asui, Kirishima, and Todoroki to take down that furry on steroids. Oi. Why couldn't the movie focus on the LOV if the issue is going to be stopping someone's quirk from being stolen? What's the point of making a 'new' villain do the same old things? I couldn't even finish it. It was unwatchable.
Are u narutard tho..............
