That vibraphone was pretty unexpected, but the player killed it, it adds a unique sound to the song, and I've never seen a vibraphone in gypsy before. Excellent cover.
dufus I’m agree but no offence I if correct you since the instrument is not a xylophone (xylos come from Greek and mean wood) he’s playing a vibraphone (metal keyboard)😉
Fantastic! I wish my Dad was still alive to hear this, he would have loved it. He used to have records of The Hot Club of France back in the 50’s when I was a kid.👍👍
@@secretidentitynetwork3085 It's a vibraphone! it had things that spin that makes the notes vibrate. Its a pretty awsome instrument and widely used in jazz.
Yeah, I'd never heard the vibes player before -- is he Austrian? Actually, Joscho is what -- Belgian? French? Whatever his nationality, he's the best guitar player I'm aware of, he and Tommy E. maybe a tie.
If you've ever watched the enchanting movie Midnight in Paris, you will an incredible guitarist playing his Bistro Fada. The artist is Stephane Wremble - check his music out!
I did EQ a little in 400-1000 range, maybe its youtube compression or what but- what sound, i realy enjoy that neuman pen mic picking up your ambient rythm sound xcellent!!
He's arpeggiating the chords, but very fast and precise. "House of the rising sun" by the animals has the same thing as guitar part, but slower. To arpeggiate is to play the notes in a chord individually instead of all at once.
top rate band - everyone was fantastic! I was particularly amazed by the guy playing rhythm guitar - rather than holding a pick he appeared to be thrashing the strings with his thumb - not fingerpicking in the folk or country blues style, just thrashing with his thumb. Sounded good though.😃

Agree 100 percent. So cool to hear that instrument in this context.
That is a ridiculous level of talent going thru those changes. Absolutely swinging like crazy!
*skills*
Nonesene, Mozart is cartoon music, whats his point?
That whack a mole dude is killin it
I wouldn't want to be a mole right now, after seeing him in action.
hahahahahah im dying
Thanks for your joke, it was killing!
hahahahahahaaaaa! XD
hahahahahahaha
The ambience that the xylophone adds in the back when Joscho is playing his solo makes the sound so rich!
Xylo means wood in Latin, that's a vibraphone
Precisely what I was thinking. :)
Matthias Strucken is out of this world! Fantastic solo !
That xylophone guy is a real music maker. Lot of talent right there.

Mine too, I listened to the Hot Club of France at 11 years old and have not stopped loving it 50 years later!
1937 great Version🏝️👍👍👍
Never heard someone shred on vibraphone before. Absolutely ace!
You should check out "All of Me" Performed by Tal Farlow and Red Norvo, great stuff.
Just as a reference, look into a fellow named Lionel Hampton...if you're so inclined.
Какие молодцы ребята! Прелесть, что исполняют! Так нежно и воздушно! Виртуозно!
Wow, this sounds like pure gold to my ears. This is what music is all about.
loving the xylophone what a version!!!!
Its not a xylophone...
@@vadim4252 What is it? Whatever it is this guy is amazing!

Who would’ve thought playing a Xylophone could get you laid? Dude is killin’ it!!
Awesome piece! great take with the Marimba or Xylophone or whatever it is :D
The guitarist with glasses is a topic ... Beauty ...
Beeindruckend!
Lionel Hampton and Django will be looking down in amazement!
Yeah, I'd never heard the vibes player before -- is he Austrian? Actually, Joscho is what -- Belgian? French? Whatever his nationality, he's the best guitar player I'm aware of, he and Tommy E. maybe a tie.
All four musicians come from Germany

Спасибо , ребята.Это хороший джаз!
Did I hear the vibe player quote Hotel California??? Holy cow, that dude's got talent!
Next level musicians indeed
to describe this as being 'Impressive' playing does not really match what what we witness, superb gentlemen!
Beautiful

Incredibly lively

Superb!
The rhythm guitarist must be thinking after the five minute mark- "any moment now, my hand is going to drop off".
great sound and performance- l and r channels are reversed - flip your headphones and enjoy
Holy crap haha i didnt realise until u pointed out- o lord i feel sick now
Pur régal !
I should have gone when I was in Hanover.
SUPERB!😅❤
I did EQ a little in 400-1000 range, maybe its youtube compression or what but- what sound, i realy enjoy that neuman pen mic picking up your ambient rythm sound xcellent!!
4:25 til the end is really nice. Put that up against other "shredders"!
4:03 what a insane lick wow
5555 :) Super gespielt...
Beautiful music!
Stephan Beste leben
The best!!! Cooool!!!
i thought the xylophone solo is fuckin beautiful. so is the tone of course
Vibraphone.
thanks :)
Yea, it's awesome! Xylophone!! :) He's pretty good on the plastic smiley phone on wheels too. Sorry man, couldn't resist it.
yep
That would have been some combo ! Lionel Hampton and Django Reinhardt !!
the guitarist was like : "can i .... CAN I, DAMN nika"
Gipsy Réveille Toi!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MMMMMMmmmm ! Django & the Marimba ....
Vibraphone
Amazing! I thought I still had the video speed on 2 :|
4:03 anyone know what that technique is called?
He's arpeggiating the chords, but very fast and precise. "House of the rising sun" by the animals has the same thing as guitar part, but slower. To arpeggiate is to play the notes in a chord individually instead of all at once.
Very impressive
unbelievable
When did George Michael play so freakin' fantastic guitar solo 😂👏
He also looked like Nightfam dude and Cyr kinda.
Way cool!
Tonight, I burned my guitar for no particular reason
Well, there has to be a reason.
That's what you get when you don't want to practice enough.
Hypetreme yer just a Dick. It was a joke you idiot
@@pavanatanaya My comment was also a joke :)
nah the guiter would also be burnt even if he practiced cause this song is too lit

SiiiiCK!
ναι, σε όλα
Struggled with that lick at 4:01 until I realized his D is tuned up to E! Now what he's doing with his left hand makes sense. Great player!
No kidding? Is that a common technique in this style? Did Django use that tuning?
No it's not it's just standard tuning
Its a minor chord with the flat 7 on the D string. Pretty simple really.
4:05 can anyone show me how hes getting twice as many notes as hes playing?? Pull off hammers?
Plectrum technique-staccato and very fast sweep picking
Very fast sweep picking. I've seen fast sweep picking before but nothing like this. Amazing
@@stefanodomeni Yes, that is some very fine playing indeed, talent combined with lots of work!
StivenCabrera3 you should listen to anything by chon or rings of saturn lol
Frarlic gies huge fan of chon, but I find this kind of playing more impressive.
Genius
Marvellous. They should work together with Martin Schmidt-Hahn, Germany s clarinet-gigant for swing !!
