I also recommend not scaling too hard and lowering your ad budgets throughout Feb until everyone returns from vacation.

@@Zion.07 probably wouldn’t do any more than 50 order per day during CNY.
Otherwise you will have lots of customer inquiries. But long as you have a team that can handle tons of requests, then you can go higher.

Exactly what I'm doing, and spending the next couple of days testing ads with my backorder messages up to see if I have any success. Cut spending in about half though until the festival is over. Not sure how much I'm expecting sales to fall off yet

- Are customers usually ok with this - Can you scale (if you found a winner) and not risk messing up the pavement gateway?
- How about refunding them immediately, then offering them a personalized discount - Would that build even more trust which will turn into a conversion?

Yes, most customers are ok as long as you are transparent and if they think your product is good/worth waiting for. (That’s why they bought in the first place, right?)
There could be some risks to the payment gateway if there are no fulfilled orders for some time. So i wouldn’t recommend scaling hard.
If your plan is to do a full refund and try to win them back later, then i just wouldn’t bother running ads at all during CNY. You might as well wait
