When you you use the Rexton assist and keep those changes..When you charge your HA's does it keep those changes or do you have to make those changes everyday ? In short when you change something does it keep those changes forever?.
When you use the Rexton assist it does keep them changes even after you charge them. However, we noticed in our field of work and one of reason why we don’t sell these Rexton Hearing aids as much, everytime you go to your professional care to get adjustments or what not. Whenever they hook up your hearing aids to Rexton fitting software, it erases those Rexton assist changes for some reason. Rexton is working on them.
Thank you for the video. Having just got the Rexton's this is helpful. I was going to try the Phillips but my Costco Fitter was able to make some initial adjustments which now make them good.
When you use the Rexton assist feature, and keep those changes, is there a way for the user to go back and undo those changes? For instance, I make a change and save it because I liked the change. But, a few days or weeks later, I discover the change didn't help as much as I thought. Can I then go back and undo that particular change, or delete that change, to go back to the default settings the fitter originally set up?
Not at this time, unfortunately. Use this with care. However, we are able to see the changes you made in the fitting software we use in the office. At this time, to undo these changes, you would need to setup an appt. I was very surprised they dont add an undo option. I will actually be uploading another review of an OTC hearing aid that has this same feature and it ACTUALLY gives you a log of the changes and at any time, you can do what you are asking here. I can't believe this Rx Hearing Aid, the Rexon, doesn't off this option.
Thank you for your quick and informative reply, Brian. I get fitted with my new Rexton Bi-Core hearing aids at my Costco in a couple of days, and although I like the assist feature, I don't like not being able to revert from any changes made. As you know, sometimes it takes a few weeks in different environments to properly evaluate any changes. Knowing this, I will definitely use that feature, at least the "Save changes" box, with great caution. Hopefully, WS Audiology will add the ability to view a log of changes and be able to delete any user change in a future app update.
I just got fitted with my new Rexton Bi-core C R-Li T hearing aids yesterday. Concerning being able to revert back from a change made with the Rexton Assist feature, apparently we can. In the quick start guide & app overview booklet, it says the following under the Rexton Assist page.. Note: You can return to original settings at any time. Tap Settings and Restart Rexton Assist to discard your current choices or Revert to your hearing care professional's settings. My fitter, who was very knowledgeable and professional, also thought, but didn't know for sure, that any changes we make under the Assist feature could be reversed by the user. I am not going to play with that for now, as I want to give myself a few weeks to get used to and assess the normal settings and the several programmed modes first. BTW, I've worn Signia hearing aids for about six years now. These new Rexton's are amazing, and I'm hearing things I've never heard with the old aids. So far, I'm impressed.
Wow! I'm waiting for my Rextons to be delivered to the Costco office. . I had no idea all these options are controllable. Much more impressive then my old 5 year old ReSounds which I thought were pretty good.
Thanks for taking the time for this making rhis video, as a matter of fact I just got back from Costco !! I do have a question, my sales/tech person let me try both the Rexson and Philips 9030 and I found the Philips a little to "brilliant"compared to the Rexson. When I walked through the store it was a bit disoncerting, while the Bicore seemed more natural. I mentioned this to the audiologist they didn't get what I was saying. Have you tried both these aids? and did you hear much difference between them? Thanks Ron W.
Hey thank you! So both Philips and Rexton HAS are top of the line. It different for each people just depends on their losses respectfully. There’s many variables to this situation. It can depend on how your hearing aids were programmed in manufacture software, acoustic settings, loudness, and type of loss you have. Many people have bought Philips over Rexton HAS vice versa. I personally think is more clearer from my personal experience. Have a great day!
It’s already been tested in thousands of different environments. Therefore, people find that Philips/Oticons hearing aids sound more clearer because of their AI technology. It is able to recognize the environment and respond to it by giving you best speech.
@@ElCid70, I just got my new Rexton Bi-core hearing aids, and they paired up with my four-year old Samsung Galaxy S9 just fine. the hearing aids are not connected to the app. Shut the phone off and back on. If the bluetooth symbol is blinking in the app, they are not connected and it wont show both volume controls
My new Rexton hearing aids whistle (feedback) when setting in front of my computer. My 5 year old Rexton hearing aids never produced a whistle. Do you have any ideas about this problem?
Sure do. Your gain line for soft noises is too close to the feedback line or you need more occluding or larger domes. In any case, you need to setup an appointment so we can fix the feedback. This is no big deal and an easy fix.
you can get the rexton version of the hearing aids from costco for like 1600.00 for the SET! its crazy, or you can go to miracle ear and pay $6,000-10,000 for the miracle ear/signia version.

Love the channel 👍. My experience, I’m using the Rexton app with my Samsung S 20 FE and the app needs some work. In fact I am returning my Rexton hearing aids and getting the Jabras. One of the main issues that I have with the Rexton app is poor connectivity. This happens even right after removing the aids from their charger. It causes me to have to restart the phone for the aids to pair. To be fair both the Rexton and Philips which I returned for the Rexton have the same issue with Android… I did not experienced the connectivity issue with my Apple iPad. So again Apple users in my opinion will have a better experience. I hoping for the Jabras’ to be “the third time is the charm” for me.
It may or may not. The android devices are definitely not on par with the apple devices. Instead of returning the aids, I would have upgraded the phone to an iPhone. Lots of folks think the hearing aids aren't working but when I show them that they work just fine on my phone, it "clicks" and they suddenly understand. Oh, it's just my phone. I am actually disappointed in Rexton. Android cellphones are a major part of the market yet Rexton concentrates on Apple and virtually ignores Android in making it possible to stream calls and such to the hearing aids.
No that's not it. Android is the operating system that is used across multiple different phones and manufacturers and different hardware. I don't think it's the hearing aid manufacturers fault. Apple phones are all apples. It's much more consistent. I don't think android phones will ever be as compatible as iPhones for hearing aids. We tell every patient the same thing.
