THE BEST REVIEWER IN THE GAME. Besides the new Lupe track this has been hard to put down for the last two weeks straight. I’m glad the catfight is over and we can get back to real music
This album makes me appreciate GDMM so much more. GDMM had an amazing content, great lyricism and quality features. Conway could benefit from taking a year off break from making album and just make a more interesting and cohesive album. The big 3 from Griselda have gotten stale lately and aren’t really don’t anything new of recently. Mach and Boldy are for sure the best Griselda members imo.
@@romaretaylor9953Another concept album would be dope. It would allow Conway to make more focused and different music. Also Conway needs to stop rapping on trap beats, they don't fit his sound.
It's fuckin criminal that we don't have a Griselda debut from Stove yet. I always feel like he's one of the standouts on the tracks he's on, even when the tracks aren't good (like 1989 imo)
Dollar menu 2 reaction gon prob be the next Mach vid but Dumpmeister on the list fasho!! I might do a community post breakdown of the song gourmandize soon b/c I think that song a is a masterpiece and deep af. I only heard fetes once, I gotta do a deep dive on it.
Never thought I would hear Swizz Beats, Flee Lord, and Tech N9ne on the same project. Some great features on this project. I agree with what you said about making a Griselda playlist at the end lmao. This year has been pretty great so far. Anything you are loving that you didn't review on camera? Hus Kingpin? Cavalier? Akai Solo? Rapsody? Chuck Strangers?
i think this album is somewhat the right direction for conway, seens like he is going back to his sound a bit more, dude will realize the trap beats aint it eventually. we need your reaction to the vince record btw.
Yooo this bouta be a good video. But on everything, you gotta check out the spook and sadhugold joint hell on wheels. It’s legit one of the best concept albums rap has seen maybe ever. And Cavaliers joint Different Type Time is one of the best albums of the year. He was rhyming all the syllables on that joint and his flows were otherworldly. I highly recommend both. Peace
Preciate you tapping in bro! Ay I actually kinda mentioned that album on the vertino tracked - I was saying how spook pairs with sadhugold a bit more than Joey does. But yeah spook album is great. I will say that the mixing was truly terrible lol and that’s gon be a nonstarter for someone. But that was a great album and will most likely be on my year end list. Haven’t heard the cavaliers joint yet - ima check it out!
I'm gonna need someone to figure out the science behind what's corny lol. Not to say I disagree with your take on the Wembenyama and Kardashian lines, but another hip hop UA-camr I watch whose opinion I respect and covers many of the same artists you do talked specifically about the Kardashian line praising it for its creativity. Personally, I don't find it offensively bad or impressively creative. Instead, I just look at it as a natural byproduct of an art form where part of the goal is stretching and playing with words. What do ya'll think? Is corniness just highly subjective or is there someway to outline what constitutes corny? (Yes, I may have put too much thought into this). Anyway, love the reactions bro!
I thought both of the bars were fire for sure. Idk if that makes me corny but being able to flip those long words in a way to make it sound like a phrase is crazy. But I agree though, the line between corny and creative is really thin these days on the internet. I feel like also if a big reviewer says it’s corny then all of his fans will say it’s corny whereas they might have had a different reaction on their own. Sorry for the long response but love talking this stuff!
I actually burst out laughing hearing your reaction to rya maxwell 😂No but fr this griselda fall-off is pretty tragic. I feel like the last good album from the big 3 was tana talk 4. Bars have gotten super generic since + a lot of the beat selection has been terrible/OK at best. I miss the good old days where they would just spit straight fire for 3 minutes straight over daringer beats. It just feels like they lost their hunger and lowered their standards. This shit has me worried for WWCD 2 cuz im not tryna hear them bullshit over trap beats for an hour and have raekwon and AA rashid glazing them for no reason. The worst part is that they cant seem to take criticism and are surrounded by yes-men. Someone has to step up and tell them the truth. I cant imagine someone like daringer listening to this album and going "yeah this is fire!" ps. people on reddit are saying rya is actually conway's son so that could explain why he let that shit happen
You should react to Different Type Time by Cavalier (dropped over a month ago). I know FOR A FACT this is right up your ally. You’re welcome in advance brotha. You’re in for a treat 💪🏾
Bruh, they gave me a Vin Baker, Tyrone Corbin and a OJ Mayo reference in like the first 3 songs lol. What up B! 🫡 Stove continues to body features like oh my gawd and Conductor is building a CRAZY resume.
Yo b side. You should review stove god if these kitchen walls could talk. Full album is on UA-cam. I wanna see you react the the song where his stove calls him like his x girl
I didn't mind the swizz song, and overall I would say the album was pretty good, especially if you take out ten/rya and dasani. The less said about dasani the better, and ten/rya just seemed really out of place and unnecessary. I actually really enjoyed Vertino and loved the guitar solo, but I'm a big guitar solo in rap fan. This album could have really been the best griselda album in a while if it were trimmed down and polished a little. It ended up kinda feeling like a slightly worse version of like reject 2 but with more polished production
def better than won’t he do it still a few misses but that’s what the skip button’s for, gave this the first listen over the chief keef album and honestly the new sosa been getting more replay 🤷♂️
I understand how everybody loves Stives verse but to me Conways verse was more fire.. Stive didn’t say anything better then “I’ll kick your pregnant baby mama down a flight of steel steps”… and the lead up to that.. he’s a master with syllable rhyming while saying things I wanna hear.. love gritty street lyrics
I erased them trap jawns I forgot how horrible they are. I kept the Tech 9 song because it’s Tech 9 but didn’t care for that much either. Yeah they too old doing this.
Griselda main 3 are boring now. Stove can only do features, label yellow tape is why he ain't dropping. Vin Baker struggled with alcohol. The magic stick flip by conducter was wack
I was actually hyped about this project but was super disappointed. They all need a sit down and get back to the basics. I don’t know why half the songs the last minute is left for absolutely nothing just wasted music. The original Ninja man beat was super hard and grimey but they smoothed it out for some reason and ruined the song. Mutty is the best conductor beat I’ve heard in a while besides the 7 minutes drill beat. Other than that his shits sucks imo. Surprisingly I like side A more than this and even that isn’t good
Conway needs a break 😂 or some inspiration. As much as his execution can make up for the content, when that's lacking like it is here it shows. Skyzoo, Mach, Hus etc all those dudes can rap about anything. Conway is already certified to me with multiple classics but if he wants to keep going he has to focus his pen imo. Peace and love to you B Side
Sidenote would love to see you review an older Skyzoo project like Peddler Themes, Music For My Friends, The Easy Truth, Milestones, lot of good picks. Or circle back on Threesome by Hus. #3 is a classic to me 🤷♂️
"It was solid when they stamped it" like it was pure "but i aint complaining, that shit crossed alot of hands in the travel" hence it got stepped on. Stove got cocaine bars for days
Nah dawg that’s 1000% NOT what he was saying lol. Solid when they stamped it mean just that - it was one solid brick when his plug shipped it and it fell apart after he unwrapped it. I can guarantee you no coke rapper would be bragging about having a lot of middle men and buying watered down coke lol.
Conway don’t got it for me anymore imo, he hasn’t really got any better. And he sounds corny asf when he tries to rap on modern trap beats. Benny truly the best out the group and he versatile enough to rap on modern beats because of his instinct of flow and delivery. Oh and I also don’t get the hype with Larry June, I can confidently say I can rap better than him lol
Yo this album had a promising start and fell off quick as fuck. Conway is too good of a rapper to dumb down his lyricism just to appeal/cater to a different fan based.
