Thank you for this demonstration. This macro includes a lot in one operation. I am trying to replicate the output using JASP using the regression and the SEM functions. It's mostly the same, but the indirect coefficients seem to be a little different.

Hi James, I haven't checked out the differences between JASP and Hayes macro, so I don't know how different they are (if it's rounding error or something more substantial). Since the indirect effect is the product of the direct effects in the model, any small rounding differences could 'add up' (so to speak) and account for the differences you see. Also, if you are using the SEM function, keep in mind that the default is generally maximum likelihood estimation (MLE) and the estimation of regression coefficients in Hayes macro is based on OLS regression. They will likely be similar, but there could be some minor differences. Cheers!

Thank Sir for detailed explanation. I have latent DV (outcome) variable how to specify here in Process model, please help

Hello sir, if BotLLCI (-0.32) and BotUCLI (-0.05), can it be concluded that it is significant and capable of mediating?

Really great!! Can we use this macro on non linear data?

thank you so much for the video! Great explanation! Quick question though, how can I chance the confidence interval from 95% to say 90% for instance?

I have an R Studio question. I noticed that you are typing the code directly into the console, rather than into an R script above (I can’t recall the proper name). Is that a requirement of the process software? Or, is this more of a personal preference for using the console instead?

Hi Rachel, it is not a Process requirement. At the time I made this video it was my preference. However, now I've transitioned into just using the R script approach. My newest videos reflect that transition: ua-cam.com/video/vGjzmVKoxuo/v-deo.html
      cheers!

So we can't just call it like a package... :| I wonder if this is the best way for students? (Clearly this is not on you Mike, but I wonder why Andrew just didn't put it up on cran?)

Hi Ryan, it does seem kind of strange not to list it with cran. My guess is he prefers having tighter control over the macro. I do wish it was available as a package though. It would make it less cumbersome to run (without all the added 'activation' stuff).
Thanks for checking out my videos and commenting! I appreciate it :)
