I have been riding motorcycles for 53 years. For the last 15 years I see at best slim pickings in the motorcycle word. I cannot think of a single new bike that is really appealing let that suits me. Like late model cars they are all the same, mostly butt ugly, over priced, hard to work on and uninspiring not to mention over priced. Bikes today are more like electronic games then true riding machines. I have a 1974 Norton Commando and I am looking for another, easier to start old bike to be my daily rider.
Interesting that the 2024 Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 was included when the bike has not been delivered in the US. The very first models are arriving now and purchase is still preorder. Amazing how it could already be on this list.
Should be listed as "my unbased opinion of the top 7 most hated motorcycles for 2024." The fact that there is no iron 883 for 2024, just add the cherry on top.
@shovelmasterfunk6709, I have the same thoughts and questions. You just gotta love these click bait videos. No references, no data, no relevant road tests. Just a repetitive a.i. voice. 🏍️
Hating comes from the unfulfilled expectation and I think this motorcycles are good enough to fulfill a skilled rider expectations to enjoy a ride and have some fun time with them, at last u have to decide whether u want to buy it or not for your long term use.
"if you could buy an used HD for the price of extras only" is very american... in EU we would say " how can you even compare a piece of iron like HD with BMW?!"
Too hunky. Too junky. I want to see some light coming through the frame from one side to the other. What happened to that stripped down no nonsense look bikes used to have ?
Overall this vid was not badly done - I certainly couldn’t have made it, so kudos for that. Did you see what bikes they used for the race officials and gendarmes for the 24 Tour de France? Yep the Nikkei - wonder why? Because they’re stable and have twice the contact patch up front! And no, they won’t stand up without the kickstand so it’s not a proper trike. The Nikkei is a fine bike and I you have the skills you can hustle it pretty quickly through the curvy stuff. Oh and it’s a “Nikkei” (Nee-kay) not a Nikin. The 883 only has 50 hp? Fine, maybe it’s good for beginners - but if you bought it thinking it’s going to be some sort of race bike, that’s your fault, not HDs. Also, if you’re complaining because the Beemer is heavy and expensive (hello…it’s 2024!) then maybe you shouldn’t be considering buying something less expensive and lighter…just my opinion. And yeah, the Multistrada is a bit heavy but it’s not designed to be a Supermoto bike, though you may have mistaken it for one. To me it is more of an adventure bike and by the looks of it is able to hold lots of luggage for your trips! Don’t complain because it isn’t something you thought it should be and didn’t turn out to be that. Lastly, the Livewire. I watched a show where two guys rode two of them up from the Southern tip of South America to LA and yeah they had problems - mostly getting them charged way out in the Patagonia wilds where there was no infrastructure! But in terms of the bikes themselves, they were fine! Only suffering from every electric vehicle’s problem of charging up in out of the way places. Who’s fault is it if you buy an electric motorcycle and spent $30k and decided you didn’t like it? I see this as a UA-cam subculture where people make videos complaining about things like cars or motorcycles, but are in fact explaining why some people don’t like them for certain reasons that they maybe should’ve considered before buying them, or criticizing them to explain why they wouldn’t buy them. It’s odd to me!
Anyone who buys an all electric motorcycle and expects to go adventure riding or more than 30 km outside of a major developed city has more than a few screws loose.
As I have a 1994 Dyna Wide Glide and see a sportster almost all in plastic, makes me remember a Kinder egg. To me a Harley is made in Iron and Steele, not in plastic
You know every time Harley Davidson makes a good bike Harley riders don’t like it. The XR 1200 was a fantastic bike. The sportster is a great bike. The life lawyer is not bad for what it is, but I do understand the disappointment. And the iron 883 might be a junk bike like most Harleys but at least it’s a affordable, they come in very cheap in this market. I could see the Yamaha being good for people with disabilities or older riders so I imagine nightmare to have to fix the front end. I don’t know about the current Himalayan, but I know that had the older model absolutely loved it.
I remember Harley’s last attempt to attract a younger demographic with the VROD. They missed the mark then with a bike that cost much more and had less horsepower than the average 600cc sports bike. Evidently they haven’t learned anything over the years except how to be “woke.” Darlington, South Carolina
There is no reason for ANY bike to weight over 400 lbs or cost over $10,000. These huge, heavy pieces off sh*t that are selling for $20,000+ are just useless cars with 2 wheels. If you buy a motorcycle over $20,000, you make too much money and know nothing about motorcycling.
I think alot of these so called experts haven't ridden these bikes enough that for instance that three wheeler I'm sure if they had more saddle time they would enjoy it face it a motor cycle is a toy a weekend run around something you have extra money to play with you go get a motorcycle
It's apparent you have never ridden any motorcycle or know anything about them. #1 The sportster S comes with either forward controls or mid controls. The Harley core customers have age out and are no longer relevant. You totally contradict yourself with the 883 compared to the Sportster S. The Ducati get raved reviews 500 lbs. is not heavy for a bike like that. The RE Himalyan 450 gets great reviews too. All you do is cherry pick other peoples reviews. Niken has been discontinued.
The sportster S is everything wrong with HD these days. Its ugly, unbalanced, generic, and looks like its following a trend rather then leading it. Pls HD, do better

My newest bike is from 2000. I'll stick with the oldies.
At the end of the day my lowly 883 leaves a smile on my face. What issues are you speaking of? I've never had an issue.
End of the day that's all that matter. Who cares what other people think. That being said I think its a cool bike...
Volkswagen stopped producing the original Bug, Jeep stopped producing the Cherokee and Harley stopped producing the Sportster. No common sense.
That's a dead, reliable, and all around good bike. This video is ridiculous.
I love my 2021 Iron 883.
the iron 883 turning is like trying to dance with the refrigerator !!! lol, this is cool lol ...😁😁😁😁
You need to tell your soulless AI voice to add the word "hundred" in the weight descriptions....or better yet, get a real human to narrate this...

I don't know anyone who dislikes the old Himalayan.
First you complained the Sportster S is too modern, then that the 883 was too nostalgic. Feels like you just dont like Harleys!
I have rarely heard so much bullshit and inaccuracies in a single video.
they didn't make a 2024 883
Yeah they dropped their best bike. Not powerful but totally reliable.
but the old ones were still hated

Triumph still makes them.
My '79XLS has more power than the Iron 883 and runs smooth enough to see what's in the mirrors.

The Sportster S is not a Sportster. It is the V-Rod Mk2. You can't customize it or expand it from what it is. Limited tank capacity/range.
The iron 883 was discontinued in 2022!
When Harley announced the HD Livewire I knew that they did not why people buy Harley Davidson bikes and I sold my HD stock.

If HD could split the new "Sportster" engine to be a higher end "entry level" bike they would have a winner.

Nikkem. Motorcycle meets straddle crane. Surely the lightest front end accident will write it off and therefore shunned by insurance co's.??
How can you hate a motorcycle? Even the 78 AMF Harley I ride? 🤷🏼♂️
