- Jordan Smith shows off the Rapido model of the VIA Rail Canada Bombardier LRC in HO scale. These model trains include new Business Class cars, fully decorated interiors, improved lighting and more! The video features runby footage of the models on Jason Shron's Kingston Sub layout.
Tremendous attention to detail by Rapido. I can't wait for the Comet commuter cars to be released. The commuter modelers will have a ball.
Thanks! The Comets should be arriving by the spring!
When I saw this trains for the first time, I thought : Someone should make this in HO scale, well after so many years my wish came true.
Beauty! We are happy to help.
Beautiful cars and an equally beautiful stage (Jason’s layout)!
Thanks!
i actually saw those LRC coaches at my hobby store a few days ago, i give those cars 10/10
Thank you!
@@rapidotrains the models on both locomotives and rolling stock are just awesome, keep up the fantastic work :D
Finally got mines!!!!! Been looking for them for years!
Excellent! Glad you got them!
Stunning layout Jason
Thanks! 👍
Great work on the LRC guys!
Thanks!
Just got some from Otter Valley, can't wait to get them!!!
Awesome, enjoy!
Great video! Glad I ordered my 9! Tell Jason his layout is coming along amazing!
Thanks! We'll let him know. He insists on setting it in crappy weather.
I would love a video of just a running session on Jason's Kingston Sub layout.
We'll ask him - that would be neat. You can see more of his layout here: facebook.com/KingstonSub/
The coaches look great; well done.
Looking forward to seeing a factory-update video once things [finally] open up again!
Might be a while, but once COVID is over with we’ll be able to visit the factory again!
Great video guys :)
Thanks!
Excellent video, those coaches look very nice!
Thank you!
How's It go'n Eh? I LOVE your channel. The Canadian themes are beauty!
Hey, thanks!
The thumbnail actually looked real
Thanks!
With this run of the LRC cars Rapido introduced a new diaphragm. It would be wonderful if Rapido made these diaphragms available for retrofitting our older Rapido LRC cars.
We’ll consider it!
Oh! Soooo beautiful!
Thanks!
Nice video!
Thanks! 😊
The LRC always looked awesome to me
👍🏼
Love it! You guys win the funniest train manufacturer award.👍 When are you going to do the CN S1b mikado steam locomotive and the CP G3c pacific steam locomotive? As always well done.
Thanks! The other steam releases are still a number of years away, but we do plan on getting to them at some point.
@@rapidotrains Oh good thank you! I will be there to snatch one up!:)
hola buenas noche muchas gracias por subir el video abrazo grande y cuidate
👍
Great video! Already got 9 of these, and plan to get more! Great job guys and gals of rapido!
Thanks so much!
Omg,these are beautiful.
You guys never cease to amaze.
Btw? Does Janet even work there anymore?
Thanks! Janet is keeping busy as our CFO and will be back in a new video soon.
Nice! 👍
Thanks!
Super!
Thank you!
Literally texting my dealer now to see if any are still available
Beauty!
YES FINALLY!
👍🏼
I was gonna say...been out for a bit now. But love them all the same. Own 27 now lol
That’s awesome!
All that's missing is the N-scale link in the top left corner... :-)
Hey! We don't forget our N scale customers! 😁
you should do an N scale release of the LRC cars with the 150 and 40 year wraps
They will probably come in the next release of N scale cars.
Yay the lrc!! Are you doing the Amtrak lrc too?
Maybe in a future release.
I want these cars, I want these cars, I want these cars! I've seen these on so many videos and now this presentation! I'm longing to purchasing these! Now I would like to see a rerelease of the FP 9 the older ones in Atlas are FP 7 and can hardly pass them off as FP 9 ...Unless with a dress up kit 🤔. Next Stop Horizon cars! I have the previous WALTHERS versions every fleet of those cars are out of model Railroading service for many mistakes & defects & inaccuracies! I have a lot of scale model work to do including adding your fleets to my layout! 👏😀
We still have FP9s for sale.
Great. I'm looking for them in VIA RAIL as well. 🤗 Oh I thank you.
Will the upcoming Canadian RDC's have the capacitors for flickr free lighting and a lighting wand?
The RDCs don't have capacitors but it shouldn't flicker unless the wheels or the tracks are dirty. Yes, they do have wands.
Correct me if I'm wrong here while I have nothing against Canadian trains (I find most of them awesone) but I've seen a grand total of two American locomotives offered by Rapido the F40PH, and the ALCo FA-2s. Does Rapido plan on expanding its HO scale American made prototypes at some point? I've seen some of your Continental Line Passenger cars in HO Scale in a Walthers Catalog back in 2008 and they are on an extraordinary level I definitely want to get my hands on some of Rapido's Passenger cars as I'm a real stickler for detail on my trains
We actually have produced many US prototype diesels in the past including the GE B36-7, EMD FL9, RS-11,and many more! We also have the FM H-16, SW1200 and E8 plus others announced for future release. Please visit our website for more info! rapidotrains.com/
Will you be offering the lighting boards as a separate part, to allow upgrades to LRC cars from previous runs?
We’re looking into it. Maybe in the near future.
Will you guys be re-releasing the draper tapers in HO scale ever? Also I remember Jason talking a little while back about how someday rapido would release ho scale sd60fs or sd50fs is this still true?
The Dash-8 may be making a return. We do not have any plans to make and Sd50 or 60F however.
@@rapidotrains aurora miniatures announced an sd60f in ho just the other day. And the dash 8s returning to ho would be awesome
Could New York M-Series Emus be a future model?
Not in the plans at the moment, but we’ll consider them for the future!
New Brunswick. The province that took the NB abbreviation from Nebraska.
Hmmmm.... We'll keep New Brunswick. Thanks for the offer, though... 🤣
LRC (Legit Rapido Cars)
👍🏼
how tight of the radius should be required
With the included long coupler, they can just about squeeze through an 18" radius curve. Larger radii are recommended.
are you guys gonna do another run of these?
Very possibly!
hopefully, soon ;)
@@rapidotrains
does anyone know where I can get one on a budget?
Keep an eye on the used market.

Beauty goal!
Any LRC Amtrak?
We last ran the Amtrak cars back around 2013. At the moment a new release isn't planned though
How much is the train itself it looks very expensive I saw this website and I saw that and one engine it could be $199
Model railroading can be an expensive hobby, but if you visit your local hobby shop you can find trains for all budgets.
@@rapidotrains I found this train off the Bradford exchange it's a Chevy train with a Chevy car
@@rapidotrains and it's $79.99 and for an additional $49.99 I can get some extra tracks
LRC is passé, eh? Siemens Venture is the way to go.
The 2000s are something that's happening to other people... not us.
@@rapidotrains For some the 2000s are happening. For others of us we are making it happen.
Where is Amtrak
No Amtrak in this release, but they may return again in the future.
@@rapidotrains i hope i really need to finish my demo train
C'mon, Jordan! You need a tin foil hat!
Absolutely! 🤣
The LRC locomotives were horrible. They had almost no crash protection, and it was preferred by crews to jump out than stay, knowing that they had a better chance of survival. Luckily, the LRC cars worked much better.
Yes the coaches have certainly had a long life! Just about to hit the 40 year service mark.
