I don't want to be too gushing, but this series is legitimately one of the most, if not the most, entertaining and inspirational restoration series I watch on UA-cam, and I watch a good few. Seeing you both just getting stuck in and not being scared to do it, as well as working really well together is 100% giving me a good kick up the backside to get on with my project. Keep up the good work, I appreciate it!
I think that was a great method. You're building what would be my dream car. Down here, many vw buses were made for passengers, including special "deluxe" versions like the Caravelle (water cooled, of course) before the plant ended the VW bus production after a strike in 1997. From that year, until 2001, all buses were imported from Brazil. Here, there was another cargo VW bus option called the "Panel". It was so versatile for many businesses that many of those were used by some conversion companies to make camper buses. Some of those even came with the top bed with a Westfalia roof replica. But they also made campers with the regular roof and one bed only, the fold-down table, two seats with storage space, spare tire at the front of the bus and so on. Cushions were thicker than original Westfalia buses, so they were quite comfortable. My dad owned one of those campers since 1983 and I loved it. Still, I could not convince him not to sell it back in 2001. Today, many old VW buses have been converted into food trucks, very practical and, again, versatile. I hope one day I can put my hands in one of those to make my own dreamed camper van. Greetings from Mexico.
Keep at it guys your doing an epic job! can you give me a shout out in your next video as I'm starting my own bus very soon Lots of luck Paul from across the pond xx
I went with what I had available to me. There are modifications that can be done to have a bed up there with an early bay that I might do, but I mostly wanted it to be able to stand up inside when we cook. I cooked many meals sitting down in this thing when I lived in it 😂
So good! Great to see Russ again from Stateline Wagens. Wishing you good luck on the top swap, but you guys got this! Tell me where to be and I'll come help out with the paint and body :) Is Tangie an L21E paint code bus?

Should have gone with a late model westy, far superior because you can sleep up there.

She’s an L20B! I bought some already to test it out, I’ll always take all the help I can get 😬
