The Sennheiser microphone sounds so much better, in my opinion. Thanks for sharing this. Cheers, Gregg! ✌️🇨🇦
Great job….I have a Senn ME 66 and love it😎
I like the sound coming from the Sennhesier much better. It sounded a lot cleaner. The Rode Mic did poorly filtering sounds from the side and back. I have been debating whether to buy another Rode mic or go with Sennheiser, but your test has convinced me to go with Sennheiser.
Thanks John. I find the Sennheiser is more natural in tone too. Glad you found this helpful in making your decision 👍
@@GreggMcLachlan I have all three of these mics. I like the Sennheiser the most in terms of tone, but the directionality needn't always be positive. Sometimes I don't want it so tight and would prefer tons of falloff so will use the Rode. The micro just gets tossed in my backpack or coat pocker because, well, it's not the king but it'll do...
Nice! Agree. Hyper directional fits my needs but I can see that being different in other scenarios ✌️
Thanks for this review!
Glad it was helpful!
Nice review !
Thank you for your video
I'm a Sennheiser headphone lover so was hoping for better results from the Sennheiser. I like the sound of the VideoMic Pro, but I can see where someone would want the MKE600, especially if someone was recording people on a stage. Thank you for doing this and being so quick about it. I hate listening to 15 minutes of stories when the video could have been under four minutes. Liked, subscribed and hit the notification bell.
EDIT: I see what I did wrong. You said, SEE WHICH ONE PERFORMS BETTER and we are speaking of a boom microphone. The Sennheiser wins easily, but I did enjoy your voice better with the Rode. I'm new at this. I'm an audiophile, I love high end audio, but I know little about recording it.
Thanks Tom. I'll be giving the MKE400 a spin soon too
@@GreggMcLachlan Thank you. You make our life easier and our wallets thicker. :)
If sennheiser would update the mke 600 with built in battery and stepless gain knob and pads like the newer mics they would destroy everyone.
I just got the MKE 600 and I also have the video mic pro.. Was thinking of testing it in a 2 person 2 camera interview situation and see if they'd match somehow in post... I'm gonna hold on to my rode just in case.
The Rode Pro is still nice, for sure 👍
nice video! sennheiser for sure, but the video mic pro is no slouch!
Something is going on because the Rode VideoMic Pro has LOADS more low frequency, did you boost the low eq in post but leave the Sennheiser?
No changes
@@GreggMcLachlan Maybe you had the low cut turned on then because i've never heard such a huge difference in low frequency as that in microphone comparisons. Plus i've seen a comparison between these two mics on another channel and the difference wasn't the same as yours.
There's obviously no comparison: the more expensive Sennheiser MKE 600 is leagues ahead of the VideoMic Pro.
I could not say that once. let alone that many times lol
Senheiser wins 🥇
