I'm not so sure about that. We should be thinking bigger, our city is a bit bigger 'I think', if people were brought up to follow their local team- not Argyle 'AND' a big club up country the ethos & mindset would be there for us to grow - we'd need a bigger ground though ! I have been in it with 35,000 though as a 12 Yr old - ironically against Derby, they didn't have 35,000 in there old Baseball ground, 26,000 I think (probably 5/6000 Argyle )mid week replay . because it didn't hold anywhere near 35,000 like ours did. I'm a bit different, I came from the Midlands, just before I was 9, I'm 51 now. Aston Villa, were, & still are my club, but Argyle mean almost as much, I've been here so long, but bk & forth to Midlands & other places, work & living several times. If I came from here, and stayed here, no other club would get a look in ! It pisses me off to be honest ! I came from only about 26 miles from Derby - they never felt much bigger than Argyle, were eventually going to, to me really, I know they are as they never went down to 3/4000 gates like Argyle were at when I first came here ! And their a tiddler of a club compared to Villa. I remember other local kids ripping me, & my mate,'whom I converted from the Monstrosity United to Argyle' (for watching Argyle) he's a season ticket holder now despite living in Pompey (Neil Priddle). When we made the semi final, all of a sudden these twats 'were Argyle fans' asking why I 'supported them' you couldn't make it up ! Didn't last long though, till we made the old 2nd division, they were all 'Argyle fans again then' 'w⚓️s! & it wasn't 'my club' to support. Git a soft spot for Walssll as itcwas my Grandad & Uncle's team- both rip. I've lived in Pompey- they don't have 'SECOND, or '1st' otherTEAMS' therer in that City ! That's the difference! I'll tell you sumat else too, if we make any Wembley final we'll sell more tickets, & quicker than Derby County. We even did more so than Sheffield Wednesday, a league higher I think 'maybe 2🤔 in 2016 play off season.I waffle, sorry. But you can get the gist of it . Coyg ✌️
