I’m really sick of the bullshit that we haven’t treated them well. Yes they were killed by the British, so were WHITE convicts brought here plus they did their share of killing also. The stolen generation - a lot of the children were not full blooded and the elders would not accept them and they were cast out so the government stepped in and rehomed them; not ideal but better than being cast adrift in the bush. Millions of dollars a year is spent on them but this funding never seems to get to areas in need. An enquiry needs to be undertaken as to where this funding is going. As for the term 1st Nations people, there are drawings that predate aboriginal drawings but no-one seems to want to raise this subject too often. Aboriginals get so many advantages now but nothing seems to be good enough according to the aboriginal elite. Everyone needs to take responsibility for how they live their life and this starts within the home.

We visited Kakadu a few years ago. Saw some of the rock paintings. It was explained to us, one of the human figures was drawn with swollen joints, depicting arthritis. Becide that was a drawing of the plant that helped relieve the pain and inflammation.
The Australian aboriginals used song to help them navigate around. Where water was, where food was etc. In the dessert it was essential to be able to find these things as you traversed the land. As was said, if you put all the songs together, you could travel right round the country.

As a white Celtic woman, born here in Australia and whos grandparents were misguided enough to help run 'missions'.... I was fascinated with Aboriginal culture from a very young age and argued with my family and still do. I used to wish that I had been born in the Original Peoples culture.... but I can't change who I am. All I can do is support them in whatever way I can. Their art, their languages, their rights..... I voted for the voice in parliament and I still don't understand why it didn't pass.

To respect the culture only men and boys play the didgeridoo. I'm of European and Asian decent but I have Aboriginal friends. Some of my cousins were even part of The Stolen Generation. Mum's Cousin married a lovely Aboriginal Lady whom she was friends with. Unfortunately due to some really bad career advice he divorced her, which Mum couldn't forgive him for. It was the 50's, the government took her 3 children off her. Mum was usually so forgiving, but she was glad to see how things had been smoothed over in their family. Personally I had an Aboriginal Boyfriend in High School. If we see each other in the street we're still happy to get together and have a chat. If you want to know more about The Stolen Generation I recommend reacting to Archie Roach's song "Took The Children Away". My apologies to our First Australians for mentioning the name of someone who died. Archie died last year just before Judith Durham and Olivia Newton John. He was part of The Stolen Generation and it was autobiographical for him. Be prepared to cry over that song, but it's important to hear.

I had a flat mate years ago who would talk about running to hide when the government cars came for the children. Bloody awful the ignorance of the whites. So completely disgusting what the commonwealth did to them, right from the beginning. I'm just a glass of milk from kiwiland. The Maoris were total warriors but have also been treated badly and were forbidden their language.. I lived with a full-blooded Maori during the 80's and it wasn't till I walked in on him talking to his mother on the phone in fluent Maori that he admitted knowing it! I think that would have been such a sad thing for them. They have their language back now but I think it is so shameful the whites did that to them. Nothing like civilized Englishmen after all eh wot? My heritage disgusts me and I am so glad that things are changing. The damage the commonwealth has done is extraordinary. Aboriginal spirituality is nothing short of amazing. We could learn much if we took the time.

The painting s are painted with earthly colours made from the earth. The golden serpent dream time story is one of the most famous Aboriginal stories. These paintings can depict many things from story telling to family tree s ,maps ceremonies and more. Our 'famous' explorers, Burke & Wills, would have lived, had they heeded the aboriginals, but they felt too proud? Christian missionaries were by far the worst, here, the US, and Africa as well as India, China and other countries. Their belief they needed to 'civilise' the 'savages' with christianity was the beginning of trouble. So sad. Everything could have been so much better. That's not actually true. The 'Pygmies' according to Tindale were an isolated population living in the Hinterlands around Cairns and were regarded by the local Aborigines as shy and peaceful, keeping to themselves. There is speculation that they existed up until around the 1950's. It's a very interesting yet controversial subject that has remained purposely hidden from Australian history. The first inhabitants of Australia were the Dooligal and Junjadee, ancient hominids who still exist in small number but remain hidden from the majority of the population. To us they are the Hairy Men of the bush.

That’s a lie spread by sky news opinion nutters and people parrot it often
Some racist write a book that was factually wrong and bolt et al decided to use it to prove that aboriginals were colonialists too so should shit up about white people
This person would totally be a big lie supporter or a Ukrainian hater if they lived in USA or Russia. Easily manipulated with propaganda

Unfortunately you've been led straight to the left wing library of wishful thinking. There are far more accurate documentations of aboriginals in more reputable education sites.

Brothers and sisters of Australia especially the indigenous people..Im a proud Wonkumarra and Barkinji man descendent from people of the desert...Its about our culture is showned to the world especially the Americans... because they are connected through DNA thats proven with the help of white mans science...It makes u angry that the government hides the real truth of our existence...im 43 years old and ive never know about the Mullumbimby Stonehenge of Australia until last year..Its written by Biamie himself according to the archeologest..We all know about him and his son's he is our creator..just like to say is watch it and learn the real truth what they was hiding for 75 years..60,000 years of aboriginal occupation in Australia is a minimum..Thanks to science DNA and archeological findings we are older then the people of Africa.. who they say we are from..The history what Australia told about us are lies...We are the First humans...
