The first time under threat of arrest I showed my driver license. The second time I said you are violating my 4th Amendment rights and when I asked them to show me this so called law they were using (which violates Constitutional Rights) they refused and arrested and jailed me on the spot. It took me over 20 hours before I was released from the jail, where I was held with several tweakers in a small cell.

This sergeant would not have been in my department long. I have gotten rid of his type many times. I've even arrested two officers just like him. I'm retired now but officers need to strive to earn the trust and respect of the citizens they are charged with serving. That would make huge strides in closing the divide that has been caused by a small number of bad officers. Also, I knew the badge number of every one of my officers. Watching these 1A audits is slowly turning me into an activist and I think I'm going to start doing audits myself very soon. I don't think they would like to see me because I'm that retired officer that also studied law in college before attending the police academy and have no problem shutting down illegal actions.
