So I have a 2007 Tacoma I turned in my truck everything was fine I put it in drive but I was reversing. Put it on park went back to drive still did the same thing. Turned the truck off and it wouldn’t start. Is that what happened to you?
Were you able to start your truck at all cause I couldn’t even start mine. All the lights on my dashboard could turn on but the truck itself wouldn’t start.
@@mpanganibanvlog I don’t remember if it started ore not is been a long time But it makes sense because is a safety issue If is not in Parking it won’t start
@@titoperaza1 awesome on order. My truck is a 2005 but looks same as yours. There us a piece of plastic that sticks off looks to me like it keeps the trucks cable end on the shaft while going down thru the gears. In hoping this bushing is enough to keep it from popping off again. If not I may need to drill a hole in the shaft and pin it. Where my plastic piece broke.
Thank you so much! I have the exact same year and model truck and was having this EXACT same issue. This was exactly what i needed.
Am glad this video help you 👍🏻
When you linkage popped out were you still able to start your truck

Very similar, wen I shifted to drive it was not engaging at all
I was able to freely move the shifter up down
And it would not engage on any gears

I believe it was in park and it wouldn’t start. Does the bushing fit the bottom linkage if that’s the in that for discounted?
