It took me a year to get this 18 jumps to get my licence due to strong winds( over limit for students where others kept jumping), i broke my rib( i think im gonna make video about it so others can learn what NOT to do) but having licence in your hands is like magic thing, obviously for non jumpers is nothing but once you are addicted to skydiving then every little progress jump by jump excites you( atleast me) and yes some people made it within week due to good weather somewhere else in uk or abroad but i can tell you- im so so happy i finally found purpose of my life, and i say to everyone i chat to daily- find your passion and have dreams- chase them because otherwise life can be SO BORING. KEEP WORKING on your licence and do canopy courses straight after A licence, i did 101 and 102( flight 1) with 23 jumps , im glad i did it so early, now after nearly 2 years i got only xxx jumps but there is reason for that i cant tell, fly safe🤙🪂
Thank you, Appreciate the feedback!! Congrats on the ground course, first jump will probably be a little scary just remember what you learned and you’ll be completely fine. Skydiving is a awesome sport if you stick with it! Blue Skies!! 🤘🏽🤘🏽
Yep haha, so we were doing a 4-way jump and their cutaway handle got loosen up so when they deployed their main it cut it away immediately. Their reserve deployed just fine though!
Spaceland is awesome, and the people out there are great! My home DZ is near Temple but I try making trips out there when I can. Get that license man, opens the door for even more fun!! 🤘🏽
@@blakerobert13 this spring after a concurrency jump and 40 minute test I hope to be able to finish the other half. My logbook has me at level 5! I’m nervous about the flip and solo jumps but I’m sure it will be fine. Maybe we run into each other next time you are around there 👍🏽
Thanks man! Definitely fell in love with the sport and the community! I’ve just done the canopy course for B License but definitely want to learn as much as possible. 🤘🏽🤘🏽
@@blakerobert13 so you learned about flat turns but i highly recommend flight 1 courses, 101 and 102 as first, both contain 5x h'pop and debiefs, its so valuable and you will thank me later for that as you become safer and better skydiver and you will watch people with 300-500 or whatever jumps and they wont be great under canopy and some might say its waste of money but its not, actually is even good to do them courses every lets say 3 years or 5, you will learn active pilot position and you will be more accurate on landings😁but hey, its only my opinion based on my experience, mate you want to try base one day😁🪂
@@Ijumpandfly Definitely, thanks for the suggestions! I need to work on my canopy skills. I’ve been working a little on some different free fly positions, probably going to look into so tunnel time. Base looks super rad but idk if I’m ready for that yet 😂
Hell yeah! I jump at Spaceland San Marcos, but I heard Houston is pretty sweet too. Once you get that A license jumping with people gets way more fun!!
Curious your opinion about how it feels after completing your AFF and B rels? Ive nearly completed my AFF and wondering if it gets better and better and if youd recommend it? Do you still get nervous with each jump? :D
It gets way more fun after you finish AFF, and the more jumps you start to get the more comfortable you’ll get and build trust in the equipment. I really don’t get nervous jumping anymore, but that just comes with more jumps. Definitely stick with it, it’s a great sport 🤘🏽
I keep coming back to this video!Just did my first tandem and the A-License is definitely on the bucket list now. Awesome Video
Do it! Skydiving in an awesome sport and the community is amazing! I’ll be working on some more skydiving videos soon so stay tuned! 🤘🏽🤘🏽
@@blakerobert13Will do!
Amazing video! Im 70 jumps in now and this is just hyping me up for a new year! Cheers brother!
Hell yeah brotha! 70’s a good number, enough experience to try some new things out and have fun jumping with friends! 🤘🏽
@@blakerobert13 Indeed but here in sweden it is a little bit more security. 100 jumps for visor and 200 for gopro. We will get there soon;)
Woah, 100 jumps to have a visor, that seems a bit much! 😬
I am a paragliding maniac but skydiving is on my main list. This video is amazing!! 😊
Hell yeah, I’ve always wanted to try paragliding! Skydiving’s actually pretty easy to get into, you should definitely look into it!
Nice one ! One of the best dropzone. 💪👏
Thank you, definitely one of my favorite DZ’s! 🤙🏽
I’m working in my A license. Watching this man! I love how you guys have fun ❤🎉

I just did my 1st tandem jump at 15,000 feet. Absolutely loved it! I'm going to start doing jump school here soon! Can't wait for my 1st solo jump!
That’s awesome! Skydive is a great sport to get into. The first solo jump is a crazy feeling too!
Great vid Blake! 🤘🏻 keep in mind (1:45) right behind and a little bit above a canopy has a burble. Don’t try that a home kids 😜.
Blue Skies 🤘🏻

Thanks brotha, appreciate it! Blue skies 🤘🏽🤘🏽
2:24 what happened to the canopy in the top left? Looks like it went straight to a reserve
Yep haha, so we were doing a 4-way jump and their cutaway handle got loosen up so when they deployed their main it cut it away immediately. Their reserve deployed just fine though!
At 2:24 somebody did a Emergency procedure and cut off the main canopy????
Yes they had a cut away! 😬
Hey man what shoes do you wear on 0:17 ?
There a Converse High Top, but they have additional ankle padding! All black of course 🤘🏽
Awesome video! This is my DZ (although I am only 1/2 way through license) and I am able to recognize some faces like Brian and Luda!

Not a very good idea opening that close together (2:20)
Yeah, you’re right, good learning point thanks 🤙🏼
@@tyg6690 Yeah, you're right, always learning!
When are you allowed to jump with camera with under USPA? In Denmark we need at least 150 jumps before we can put a camera on the helmet
USPA recommends 200 jumps for camera

Awesome footage bro!!
Which camera did you use ?
Thanks man! It’s mostly GoPro Hero 10 with a few GoPro Max shots! 🤙🏽
2:25....Wait a second. Did that guy have his cutaway handle pulled?
Yeah they did, when they broke off it got pulled somehow, everyone is good though! 😬

Thanks mate! 🤘🏽I’m right around 200ish, but taking some time off to do some traveling!

2:22 ?
There was a cutaway, they’re alright though 😅
🔥

There’s a few different DZ’s, most of them are in Texas. Spaceland, Temple, Skydive Texas! 🤘🏽

Just getting in jumps, having fun, and staying safe haha
2:15 wtf was going on there lol. 😆

Cutaways and no break off hell yeah 🤙🏼
Yeah, not the best jump ever, but everyone is alright 😬

Crazy how you need a license to fall from the sky.
😂 seems kinda odd right? But I get the safety and liability reasons for drop zones to require it!

Congrats! A-License is where all the fun is 🤘🏽
