    Hi Lars
Been binge a lot of your videos the last weeks lol. But I still haven’t found an answer on this question. Can the G4 doorbell pro open the door through ua-hub?
Thanks for your awesome videos, learned a lot!

Thanks for watching....ALL OF IT! 🤣
I haven't set up a G4 Doorbell Pro, so not entirely sure. The UA-Hub is just standard wires so you can trigger pretty much anything. The issue would be if the Doorbell can output a signal for the Hub.

have you faced any issue with unifi access as i am about to deploy the system in the next two weeks on my unit front door

@@annoyedlemon It has been incredibly reliable. I've had no issues at all. I use both the NFC card, door bell, and the Identity app to open the door.

Thank you for your video. Is it possible, in your opinion, to connect 2 G2 Reader Pros to only 1 access hub to control 2 different doors? My situation is this: I live in a condominium, and with 1 access hub I would like to control the opening of the condominium door where I will install the first G2, and with the second G2 I would like to control my apartment door. Thank you.

You can only connect one Reader Pro to one door. You have one Hub for each door. The new Access Ultra has the Hub built in, so you are probably wanting two of those instead, depending on your setup.

I totally love the farmyard install job that is totally what I’d do to 😂😂😂

Hey Lars, if you don't mind sharing.. who do you use as your primary store/seller for new Ubiquiti kit?

I use a variety tbh. I have used Ubiquiti Warehouse (UBWH) a fair bit, but also Kogan, Scorptec and 4Cabling. In this video, Unifi provided the device for me to test.

The electrical back box is useful during a new construction so your roughed in wires do not get buried during wall closure by other trades. You can also create conduit runs to the box with string so you can run new wires in the future. This will be especially useful when this technology ages out and we have to run a new type of wire to this location.

Ah, that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing that info Shawn. Much appreciated 👌

Hey Lars, thanks for the video :) Do you know if the video from the camera can record to Unifi Protect?

    • @LarsKlintTech
      @LarsKlintTech  6 місяців тому

It cannot currently. The video is only recorded on events as well, and only lives in Access.

Could you also use this as a regular doorbell?

I believe so. I haven't done it, but you have 4 aux outputs from the Access Hub, which should enable that.

    It's nice but too expensive

I guess that depends on your use case as well. If you have 50 users to manage, it might be better value?
