I'd like to see one of these elite players taking us through exactly what they would eat in a typical day... How many eggs, how many chicken breasts, how many salmon fillets, how many times a day - I think that would offer great insight. Not that I want to copy them, I just think that would be a more useful exercise in understanding the quantities needed for performance at this sort of level!
Great stuff, much better that the last one where that bint kept going on about electrolytes trying to sell everyone powerade! Quality nutrition and an individual approach is required! Just like we've always said
Playing for a team is funny thing when it comes to diets, you basically eat everything everyone else eats, team gb, rugby England, football, etc etc but what we forget is what works. For one person may not give the same results for another since we all are different right down to the cells in your body, but what is the solution have a nutritionists for each player can't see that happening unless the players pay for it outta their own pocket
"Expert Insight"... This guy is getting paid to be a nutritionist - "I used to think it was all meat and carbs but now I know vegetables are important too..." If you didn't always know that, you shouldn't be a nutritionist and certainly not in a professional sporting environment...
Right Jordan so you were born with this knowledge or learned it? we all used to know less than we know now. I am tempted to call you a moron but given this was one year ago maybe you have given that swollen head of yours a good wobble!
Pretty basic approach tbf. I'm surprised that a national rugby team of this calibre aren't on some next level nutrition strategising. Also, maximuscle wtf are they thinking?!
Simeon Stokes-johnson for their function on the field. You wouldn't put a 14stone athlete in the front row... I wouldn't classify them as fat, a higher body fat percentage, but with greater muscle mass too.
Because they prioritise outright strength and size for the scrum over athleticism for the loose - i.e. for the same reason strongman contestants don't have a 6 pack.
Always good to see our international rugby team employing an overweight nutritionist? And good luck with using Maximuscle....probably the biggest joke in the supplements market...if you can buy your supplements in Boots and Super Drug....then they're hardly cutting edge and suitable for the team!!!
@@jeremifrancisco1 carbs, fats and protein.... vegetables don't have to play as much as a big role.... you can eat them... but you have only such an appetite. Fill it with fats protein and carbs. Period.
@@jeremifrancisco1 exactly my point, vegetables take a long time to convert to usable energy(and for not much), not efficient for on demand energy. please read a book on human physiology and/or biology
@@utsawin09 This is one of the stupidest comments I have ever seen. Vegetables help with basic bodily functions like cell production, repairing muscle damage and proper digestion. They are not for just energy and the nutritionist (who is a professor in human physiology and has a lot of peer reviews papers) states that they build a lot of their meals around carbohydrates.

You can base it on calories

Jordan Cox So what if he didn't use to know it? Now he does. That's the important part.
Right Jordan so you were born with this knowledge or learned it? we all used to know less than we know now. I am tempted to call you a moron but given this was one year ago maybe you have given that swollen head of yours a good wobble!
Carbs are for cunts
He probably means when he was a young professional rugby player himself, and before he became a professor in human physiology.
boo bye You should know...
Full english breakfast, bangers and Mash are all the calories you need. Add in some steamed veggies is all.
Interesting stuff, but white rice is actually just as good 👍
My motto is " you only get out, what you put in"
Did you make that up yourself there fella?
🙄
That's is really awesome
More importantly, what do the Scotland players eat?
Haggis
Where's the humble pie?? :D

If the diets great why are props fat?? Riddle me that
Simeon Stokes-johnson they even said in the video, if you eat too much of anything you'll still gain fat

Okay babe.

Is this why they keep losing matches ? They also have fifteen coaches ! Get rid of all these hangers -on and let the guys play rugby !

most important thing with fish is fresher the better
louis williams Eat fish fingers instead or the fish in your fish tank
louis williams I used to like salmon, but lately it has been making me want to throw up. I now go for trout. I find it tastes better.
drew against all blacks today but we were SHITTTTT
Anything but humble pie apparently
doesnt matter wat they eat the irish boys are gonna win the six nations and the grand slam this year cmon the boys in green
England rugby players diets mainly consist of sour grapes I heard
You like whine to go with that chip on your shoulder. and the egg on your face.
If you want to succeed as a rugby player, avoid what these are eating, they are shocking.
?!
Then what is one supposed to eat?

@@utsawin09Thanks for your reply, but, aren't 'vegetables', carbohydrates with the lowest glycemic index? lol

HA HA! If England want to win more world cups they will need to eat more Steaks!
What do England rugby players eat? Today, it will be massive slices of humble pie........
To keep it simple
A shit ton
…and lots of PEDS
This sooooo wrong!
They should rather focus on eating like the South African rugby players. They are the real deal hard men.
