Played Mystic since she released, never played another class seriously. I am glad to see people still playing her. I must say though, having my Striker tagged to her, it was funny when people saw him in fallen god armor and just went "NOPE" then switched servers. Never happened on my mystic.

Hey man! I recently swapped to Mystic, as i just returned to the game, and so far i'm loving your videos and guides. Lots to learn! I do have a question though! I see you have spiral bound to SHIFT and wrath bound to F, how does that exactly work? :D If you have your shift key binded to spiral, how do you use skills like rising dragon, rapid stream, tidal burst or even flash step? Same goes with F, if you have it bound how do you use hurrican kick or any other ability that needs the f key?
@@Dobby9909 hey this is a good question. I quickly found out that pressing shift hurt my hands so I swapped shift to space bar. F to a mouse key button on the side of my mouse and spacebar to a mouse button on the side of my mouse. Took me a few days to get used to but now I almost always change it to those buttons regardless of the class I’m playing
@@Travesty Okay, but if you bind those keys to a skill, how are you using other skills that requires them to be pressed? So if i bind SHIFT to a quick slot, then when i press shift it just wants to use that skill, and i can't use other skills that require to press shift and something, like rising dragon shift+q i can't do it, as on shift it just right away wants to spiral?
@ yeah I rebind shift to space bar. So for rising dragon I do space+q instead of shift+q

Great video! I'm thinking on trying mystic (Striker/Tamer main). Is she doing around same performance PvE wise?
@@rainmann95 I’d say her pve is slightly better than awa striker at most endgame spots. Just as comfy but better damage over time.
Hi Travesty. Hope to catch you before you head out. I had a question. @Travesty, I got a really lovely Mystic level 61 that I changed to Awakening and found it pretty interesting. Based on what you shared in this video and the loot level for "THIS" spot it seems really solid. So, my question for you is, if you had to choose between a class that may get more LOOT per hour, but is less safe/tanky vs a class that get less LOOT, but is safer and more tanky. Which would you choose?
That is where I am and as you know weapon exchange coupons only come once and a while, and I am at a place now where I am building my gear and finally cracked 300 AP moving toward 310 AP.

@@MarioWarKing well a couple of things coming up that might make it so this decision is less of an issue. They are making tagging cost ~450 mil which is less than 1/4th of an hour at end game. That being said I’d personally choose the safer and tankier class if tankiness was an issue for me because when I grind half of my attention is focused on the show I’m watching cuz I don’t raw dog grinding lol

After two years of awakening sage, thinking about rerolling to awake mystic, now is a good time? PVE and PVP
@@jblnnn ehh I’d say awa mystic pve better than awa sage in dsr, similar at tungrad ruins. PvP wise I think awa sage is pretty good, not sure how they stack up but you’ll be getting a tankier brawler vs whatever awa sage feels like

Hello travesty. I really love Awakening Mystic's playstyle and want to learn her, but I also wanna bring her to node wars. Is she good in high tier competetive node wars? I feel like I won't get accepted due to being a Mystic but would love to hear your perspective
I don't do nodewars or siege but given her current changes she's probably not that bad. However for large scale stuff like that probably want to play ranged class instead of melee class unless your a musa/zerk
@@Travesty Yeah, the current alliance I'm in pretty much only accepts ranged, Wizard / Witch, Succ Zerk & Corsair and Shais sadly. However I am super hyped about Mystic; will learn her just for the sake of 1v1s and AoS. Hopefully her dueling capabilities will satisfy me, thank you!

curious are you running dr or evasion? seems to switch every video, new player looking for idea which version to do.
I have both sets. C20 nouver, tet fallen god boots/gloves in both DR and Evasion. I grind in DR for the most part, I pvp in Evasion for the most part. If I'm fighting a DR stacker I'll run DR to get more AP. Based on my experience, evasion for pvp is reserved for the geared, most of the time DR will likely be better at low levels of gear. If you are not 330+ ap with blackstar it is not reccomended by me to use evasion in PvP.
Loving the changes. She's always been my tag but definitely has the potential to become the more played of the two now. I will say though as a tamer main since launch awa mystic really isn't as simple or straight forward as lot of people say. There's plenty of nuance in there compared to a lot of classes and a reasonable APM to stay safe and keep up aggression not to mention she might have the most swaps of any class which opens up a lot of possibilities. The difference between a good and bad awa mystic is massive and I think its part of the reason she's had the stigma for so long, as well as the actual issues of course. But yeah I'd say striker and a lot of the newer classes are pretty braindead in comparison. Succ drak is a pretty good example given she's basically awa mystic with damage lol.

I wish I could Rodge but unfortunately I'm just not that well informed on Succession Mystic. I know that the twisted collision bug removal was a huge nerf on her playability/damage in recent times. But other than that haven't really kept up with her kit changes/played her in pvp

It's a solid grinder for TR, DSR, and Doluns 2. I'd give it a solid 8.5/9 for these spots. Only thing holding her back is aoe. Also some classes that have much shorter CDs like awa tamer can push way more trash than any other class at TR.

If i have viable eva hyrbid build, shoiuld i use it or go for DR build? i can keep 1250eva while having 800pvp ap
Those are some decent stats, I'd keep eva hybrid until you have enough silver to have both sets.

i've a question that nobody seems to be able to answer, i'll just ask it here. on flow: prey hunt tooltip it says it increases thunder pound and rage hammer damage and aoe, but didn't say by how much damage. have u tested it before?
Unfortunately since it’s not explicitly stated I can only tell you based on experience that there is little to no damage increase and that the main reason you should have prey hunt up is not aoe/dmg of these skills but atk casting speed. If you look at my awakening mystic damage calculation you can see how low rage hammer and thunderpound is from a PvP dps perspective

@ Yea, they’re great. The vacuum cd change really gives you a lot more pressure on most classes. Unbridled wrath being SA really gives us a lot of kill potential on the people we catch and we don’t have to take as many risks to get our damage out. Elbow edge gives some really nice movement and ability to reposition quickly to either get on top of people to grab them or to go past them and get them in the back with a quick cc. Not getting cc’d out of the end of torpedo as much anymore. The heal on hit on infinite fortitude is actually massive and it’s now deserving of the 40 second cd. Raging wolf giving shards is nice and I’ve been using it to keep tempo in fights when I’ve gotta burn through shards for movement to chase some of the faster classes. Damage is just overall a little better due to the accuracy change.
She definitely feels like a threat again and she hasn’t felt like that since reworks, as you said. She feels really strong in AoS and I’m able to pull off a lot more 1v3s than I used to.
I don’t think she’s very easy for people to pick up as we’d think and that’s probably the main thing that’s holding her back from being FotM. I’ve been seeing a fair few people trying to learn her but they’re still struggling to work out how to use her kit effectively.
If only there were some people who could make a PvP guide for her… maybe one day

Different in some ways, same in other ways. I think awa striker still comes out on top when it comes to damage but awa mystic comes out on top when it comes to utility
