Pretty different from the live version I was familiar with, this is very cool. Although I too would also love a recorded version that is closer to what they played in concert (I remember seeing this for the first time when Jason and Peijman were in. It was pretty savage and hypnotic.), An Ishraqiyun version maybe?
la porte Same, but I understand how shit has a tendency to evolve over years in one's own mind, and the previous version just ends up feeling like a far lesser, incomplete one. I'd rather have Trey's "ultimate" vision of it than the one I'd first grown accustomed to.
I remember when they first played this live in 2007! Finally recorded. Very creative production on this one, builds into something big. THAT FUZZ!
+SuperChexmixer Same here. Great experience watching DC hipsters trying to dance to this.
My new favourite Secret Chiefs song.
dim
This is the timing/groove with which all the Ishraqiyun tunes should be played
This is great and all but I would like a recorded version of this that sounds more like the first time I heard it live.

This UR version is actually the original, and the live Ishraqiyun version we all know and love is the evolved version.
thanks for this!! love this recording!
Cool
Fuzz fest.
