Me too. It very nostalgic for me. I used to listen to the Rough Trade Session like my life depended on it, especially this one. I spoke with Emily after the 15th anniversary show in 2019 and she told me they played Warpaint because I requested it on IG and I had to choke back tears. I 100% cried a little when they played it too of course. This band has been so monumentally important to me.
I showed the Disco//very music video to my friends that are obsessed with mainstream pop music and had been watching the incredibly stylized music videos of Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry for hours. For whatever reason, though, they just could not handle the Warpaint music video. It's actually just the band singing the song in slow motion and dancing on a street, but for whatever reason that was "too weird," for them.
Compared to the choreographed backing dancers, high production antics, etc. that Britney Spears or Katy Perry are known for, I can see that coming off as strange. Good? Sure, but definitely a little unusual. More authentic too. They move the way they naturally please rather than a rehearsed dance.
I stumbled on Warpaint and their songs are haunting and electrifying, from what I see, they are a really close band. Good for them for not hating each other.

The video came as a bonus when you downloaded the session, and I recently discovered it’s still in my iTunes library in the same damn quality. Maybe now that they are back with Rough Trade we can pester the label for an HD version. Can’t see why they would only film one song in a lower quality.
