Woah. Okay so now my head has to wrap around this family of strums: the clave, the Bo Diddly, the George Formby, the calypso strum, …. And even think of fingerpicking in this rhythm. I love the complexity!
Thank you Stu for this incredible challenging tutorial. I manage now to strum it correctly at a good speed :) Could you also post and explain how you improvise on your loop at the end, just some snippets. If you start with the Dm Scale, how to change to the E7 etc... But once again, thanks for your musicality. Cheers from Berlin.
Yes! Thanks for joining in and hanging with a more challenging lesson topic! Playing a solo like this is a bit more complex -- following chord changes involves knowing what scale, arpeggio, chord voicings fit with the harmony of the song. Somday we'll dig itno ths with another Django Reinhardt ukulele workshop session! :-) All the best, Stu
I got the pattern but have to keep my mind on it. Can’t wait for it to become automatic. I think the upstroke with the thumb is the most challenging to put into auto. Rhythm and pattern is cool. Any suggestions for the thumb.
I think the technical term to use on this channel, if you like the content, is to strum the like button. Love to you, your family and also the community.

Stu, I'd love to see your take on Hotel California. I think you're the only one who will get it right.
