One of the biggest things I hate about Velcro is trying to clean paint out of the hook side between points, which isn't going to be a problem with this pack. Having played around a little bit with one last weekend, I think it's a bunch of nice little improvements. The way the elastic is mounted keeps the pods under tension much easier, the new design of the extra pod loops is easier to get pods into without needing an extra person, the waist straps are much more skinny-person friendly than the Eject (while not punishing the heavier folks). The magnetic flaps hold the pods quite securely, but you can "flick" them open quite quickly, making it slightly faster than a velcro pack.
Kelly Killingsworth I used mine at SC Village last Sunday, too! Here are some things I noted for anyone who is interested: It is very comfortable to wear. I think it’s more comfortable than the Bunkerkings Supreme V5 (this ise only other pack that I’ve tried that uses comfort as a selling point). Although the MagTech lacks the thick pillow that the Supreme pack has, I still think the new secured fit on the magtech feels better. The Supreme pack bounced around too much for my play style. The only thing I had trouble with was pushing my pods back in during the game. I use the regular 140 round Dye pods, and I had to forcefully shove them all the way up into the main pod holder to get both magnets to stick. It wasn’t a huge issue though because one magnet was enough to hold the pod in place, but if you are concerned with always securing your pods with both magnets, be prepared to push them up with a little more effort than is typically needed. Also, the straps tend to stick where they shouldn’t if you’re not careful. The magnets themselves are great. They are strong and secure, yet they don’t need excessive force to open. This made reloads on the field quick and seamless. HK did a good job with this pack. It looks great, feels great, and works great. I rate this pack a solid 8/10. I saw some comments about the price. I wish it was cheaper, too, but the price is not outrageous. You get what you pay for, and I’m very satisfied with this pack. I recommend it, and I hope to see more people using it.
Elaihs Anzo good review 🤙🏼 I’m using the same pods (140 DYE pods) and yes to get both magnets to connect I did give an extra push. I actually liked that. It made for a tighter more secure fit in my opinion. Also, when reloading the elastic made it easy to effortlessly remove the pod for a quicker reload. All in all I love the pack and agree that you get what you pay for on this one 🤙🏼
Kelly Killingsworth Thanks! Those pods are great. They’re easier to open than the Gen X Global pods while still being secure. Also, I liked your perspective on not minding an extra push on your pods in exchange for an assisted ejection. I didn’t consider that, but now I remember that it was easier to get a pod out because of the elastic. Plus, It’s not difficult to push a pod all the way in, but it is noticeable. My last pack was the HK HSTL pack, so I’m used to pods slipping in. Having to push pods in seems like a chore to me right now, but I’ll get used to it with time. That assisted ejection is worth it regardless.
Literally just opened a Zero-G, then found out about these new Magtek packs.I'm curious how much I'll like this strapless design on the Zero-G in practice. I've been using traditional velcro packs for almost 20 years now.
Ive had my magtek for a few months now and i love it, magnets hold great but are quick and clean opening. it is a little difficult to clean since it has all those crevices
I currently own the hk army zero-g pod pack but I was having alot of issues with the velcro that holds the pods becoming undone and i was losing alot of paint as a consequence, is this because of the type of pod im using? just normal dye pods not the lock lids or is my velcro shot? is it worth switching to the Magtek, i mostly just plays woodsball
I spill paint too, the clip pods just never worked with my hk pack, I use pop lids instead and make the inside tensioner more tighter cause they are smaller. I mostly only spill paint trying to run high speeds tho
I used my magtek for the first time and lost 2 pods and 1 pod fell out and broke so I went home with 2 pods. I just ordered a infamous pro dna reflex harness.
The Laysick pack is my favorite pack ever. Looking forward to testing this pack

I dunno... there's something about the velcro that just feels right but I'd definitely give this pack a try. I like it.
I just bought an HK army eject for $40 and I'm loving it.. now I'm thinking of checking this one out as well. Thanks brad.

I like your shirt, looks, very trekkie
Pb rack did magnets also
I put shoe goo that gel that turns into rubber on magnet part a very light coat
any idea if this pack will fit base pods? I know the squared sides of the base pods sometimes fit too tight in certain packs.
Thank. I’m so bored in school right now.
