Phil is the man. He was just a drummer seeing what’s out there, got into a band, had no intention of being a lead singer and had an incredible career as a drummer, band mate, band leader, solo singer/songwriter.
Phil Collins is a Legend his voices is so amazing & drummer thank you Phil you gave so much love & music to all the Phil fans around the world , Love you always ❤
Who doesn't love Phil Collins but he truly touches my heart very deeply. I feel a lot of love for him. Crazy as it sounds as I've never met him. But feelings are real.
An amazingly straightforward man and as many say it is very sad what has become of him physically, fortunately he’s had a blessed life in the main, some people aren’t so fortunate. Hats off to PC though..a childhood hero of mine..
Enjoy seeing Phil like this. Would like to sit with you, Phil, and just chat. I love this side of you. ❤ Fascinating. Love to see your depth. Amen to that!!
'In The Air Tonight' was subconscious and brilliant. I feel he was singing AT the guy who ran off with his wife. The lyrics make total sense. Sorry, Phil but conscious or not you are a perfectionist. Your attention to detail is extraordinary. You and Genesis are all about love. (and all about the great details) He is so genuinely modest. (wish he had more opportunities for acting; so good) Love his lessons to be learned, we don't have to be nasty and impatient with each other.
Accidents do happen, but most people shrug their shoulders and hurry on. But when you have done the hard work, the 'accidents' come more easily and men like Phil are prepared to see the potential within the chaos. Brilliant people can recognize the diamonds hidden in the stone. Phil Collins is demonstrably brilliant.
I love heaps of his songs I could list another 10 or so quite easily. Like I love In the Air Tonight. I am going through a divorce at the moment so I find it oddly related and play it to help ease my mind.
Phil me manque beaucoup. Je lui souhaite d'être heureux et de retrouver sa santé. Merci pour ce documentaire. From Paris, thank you so much.
@@wesleyashworth5061 This video was shot 21 yrs ago. His aging seemed 'overnight'. I say Phil is looking pretty sturdy as a 51 yr old. Some unfortunate choices following his falling accident and divorce contributed to his aging. If we could all only see the future what changes would we make?
@@rk41gator most of Phil’s talent came from his hard work and constantly honing his craft though, him bring left handed doesn’t have much to do with it.
@@rk41gator I am snot so sure it’s an old wife’s tale, I think there is some truth in it, I’m a creative person and I have a creative job, I just didn’t get rich from it. Lol. I was being somewhat self deprecating in my previous comment, being a creative person is in my blood though and I think being left handed in a predominantly right handed world you have to be creative.
I’m a huge Genesis and Phil Collins fan back to 1980. Ive seen Phil do many interviews. I watched this several times with sound and decided to watch it again with no sound because I like to watch body language. I’ve noticed thru the years that Phil went from being the happy cheeky chap in interviews to being s serious, unfunny guy in interviews. In this interview Phil seems very tense, unhappy, not wanting to be there, going through the motions, and almost defensive in his body language. He is somber from the opening lines and never genuinely smiles until once towards the end of the interview, and then it’s very briefly. While he says he’s very happy during this time, his body language says otherwise. Now having read his autobiography and seen all that happened to him during this third marriage and divorce, I don’t think he was truly happy with her. He seems sad and resolved to his life here. Watch this with no sound. If you didn’t know what he was talking about, you’d get a different feeling. I love him to death, but he gradually changed to an unhappy person as he aged. It’s just an interesting impression I got watching this with no sound.
I remember buying the album "Testify". I thought it was rather good. Couldnt undestand when so many critics moaned about it and said it was really shitty record. Ive heard many many worse albums. It wasnt perfect but better as a whole than "Dance into the light"

What an enormous talent. Even his interviews are gold.

The best part of Phil? His heart. His kindness. Good thoughts. Songs are meaningful.Yes, always say, "Love you!" My Mom taught us
And don't go to bed angry....
His voice is smoothing.
I love my Phil Collins.

Phil is cute and down to earth - can’t help but to love him. ❤
He sounds like a really nice man.
I enjoy listening to interviews I enjoy this song. He's so smart.
Phil you are such a fantastic person enjoy your retirement you deserve it
shame it ended, lovely interview.

Back when Phil was 51 😊
Back when he could walk and wasn’t an invalid.
I remember for the We can't dance tour, we thought the boys were old. Now I'm 10 years older than they were back then!😂
I've listened to so many of his songs over the years.
I also love listening to his drumming.
I love you'll be in my heart ❤️
Thank you so much for this! ❤️
Thank you for sharing yourself with us.

💙My sentiments exactly!👍🥰
I am a fan I grew up listening to songs like Can't hurry love and Groovy kind of love.
Wowable! Thank you for sharing ❤

Oliver was my favourite childhood film.
I love the song Both Sides of the Story as it's so admirable that he wants to hear both sides of a story. As their are two sides of every coin.
Wow the interviewer jumps from subject to subject without letting him finish the answer, but she does know her PC history.
Testify is my favorite of all Phil s albums 🎉
Phil Collins is amazing
Testifying ❤️ 💝
Love you Phil Collins, your so beautiful love you pamie xxxxx
It's not too late is the best song it's a song about revelation. I love that song.

Hard to believe that this was just 21 years ago.....how poor Phil has turned into an old man literally overnight, very sad.
Overnight or over 21 years?

Yes, life is too short.
How many incredibly gifted people are left-handed?
I’m left handed and I’m not incredibly gifted. 😂

@@sspbrazil You're right. I was just jesting on an old wife's tail that left-handed people are more creative. Certainly true in Collins' case.

I really knew very little about his personal life before listening to this.
I grew up with a single Mum. And a Step Dad.
I had no idea he was in it.
Testify Tour
I love Disney Dumbo and The Little Mermaid I admit I haven't seen Tarzan.

I hear Genesis has had the same management for fifty years.

10 years before shit it the fan..divorced surgery alchohol...
One of the last glimpses we get of him as a whole person.
We had terrible politicans.
