I have no idea what they're singing about, nor can I read kanji. Though I'm particularly mesmerised by Keiko's and Kaori's harmonisations when they get to the chorus. I love how it kinda sounds like a lullaby. Very charming and relaxing.

I could totally feel you. The way Yuki Kajiura makes baroque themed songs and the way the melody is synchronizing with the lyrics. Uggghhh it's quite hard to explain this feeling.

Houseki is 2004 anime: Le portrait de petit cossette Ending song, the anime is so underrated honestly :( Quite Dark enough like Kara no kyoukai as well as Fate/Zero, Main heroine is kinda like the image of illya, but personality is not. It has vampire theme so rejoice Tsukihime fans. Highly recommend to Typemoon fans as well as for those who love Yuki kajiura music, the whole anime series is composed by her, Le portrait de petit cossette is worth a try, only 3 OVA, it's short but the anime is deep with feels. Another similar dark theme supernatural anime like Le portrait de petit cossette, will be SHIKI, not ryougi shiki. The anime SHIKI, another vampire anime worth watching, animated by Studio Daume, the studio that also did Le portrait de petit cossette. SO I just want to say GO WATCH Le portrait de petit cossette and SHIKI they are good vampire dark theme animes with good music!!
haha i knew this song first, then i went watch Cosette. In my opinion, Cosette had potential but it was executed badly especially about the storytelling. Maybe it is because it only had 3 episodes and they pushed it real hard. Also the art, especially when Cosette 'punishes' (?) the main hero (i forgot his name lol, but sure he resembles Mikiya Kokuto lol) was also badly creepy too, it could be more 'beautiful' imho (or maybe because it is a veeeery old anime?). But i really like the part when Cosette finally make it to heaven (?) but one of the bad thing (spirit?) still stays beside the main hero and than man mistook it for the real Cosette, haha, it was a nice plottwist!
I agree that the singing is better (softer) here, for KEIKO uses her falsetto amazingly. But for the music (especially the guitar medley) I personally prefer the 2008 LIVE version.
