Phuck Ewe You'd have to make sure you are drilling straight to line up with the hardware. Maybe press a scrap piece of wood against the door. Just don't drill too far!
Some years ago my late father fitted a door knocker for my Flat ( aka Unit, or Apartment ). Exactly the same knocker as the one in this video. I found out recently that the doors on all the units actually contain asbestos, it is alarming that in this case blowing out sawdust could also mean blowing out asbestos fibres, and no my father didn't die of mesothelioma, but it makes me wonder if even just a very small bunch of disturbed fibres could have future health affects, I hope not.
