Love this idea! I can get so mad at myself because I always feel I don’t get enough done and/or I don’t get things done fast enough. Working to give myself a “break” is such a good idea!

Labels are my friend too. When my kids were small, I drew pictures of the clothes they had, and where to put them in the drawers. All of their toys had its own container that was labeled. My family and friends were amazed at how tidy the boys rooms were. Slow homemaking is a great concept, thanks for sharing.

Oh yes! I "battle" this exact thought process daily lol. It definitely takes practice to set those constant thoought processes and over tasking myself, and allowing time and tasks completed to be appreciated. Thank you for such an important reminder to slow things down and enjoy ❤
Your faucet is neat. I like how the water comes out when you where filling the container to water the plants.
i recently started to try to slow down and fully enjoy the moments at specific times like meal times or nursing my toddler. i find it very hard but very very rewarding.

Hi Amanda. TFS this topic. For me the pandemic and some personal life circumstances have served as a reminder to slow my mind, take in every moment and live at a slower pace. As a city girl, fast pace became second nature and now I'm pacing myself. The shift in my mindset is part of my health and wellness journey.
Love the cricut designed tees. What a great gift with personal personal touch. My sister has the cricut and for the last few years she's made tshirts as gifts for family and friends. Also we pick a theme every year for my mom's birthday in August and my sister will make tshirts for the family to wear at her bday celebration. Its become a tradition 👍🏽🫶🏽👕😙
It’s so tricky to remind ourselves consistently to slow our minds - but it truly does make life more enjoyable! And that’s so cool that y’all do that as a tradition now!!

"Congratulations" on your new nephew 💙! The shirts are so cute! I'm already a slow living 😪 & homemaker, as I can't do to much anymore! I still, wash some of the dishes. I always rinse them off before we put them in the dishwasher. I know your supposed to be able to put the dirty dish with food on it in the dishwasher. But I think if we rinse off the dishes before, it will last longer. Instead of getting a new one every couple years! I know you haven't done that Amanda! I'm just rambling along! Amanda, this is my favorite way of cleaning. It doesn’t feel so overwhelming and it’s actually kind of fulfilling to work on those little odd things that you always say oh I need to get to this or that when you just stop and do it it’s just rewarding.❤😊😊

This was exactly what I needed to hear! I struggle with a racing mind constantly going over a to do list! I work full-time, but plan projects around my house like I am a stay at homemaker. Instead of enjoying being at home, I’m constantly looking around stressing over what to do next.
I’m glad Slow living has been around for years. (It’s alot like Hegge living) The older I get the more I have lived my life this way.

I was so much like u also in my younger days! Always thinking I had to hurry up and get things done. But now tht my kids r grown and my grandson is starting school in august, I can slow down and breath a little and know everything is okay. Thank you for sharing your story because it just made me stop and say to myself, slow down and enjoy life now! Life is to short.❤
It’s so easy to get caught up in the busy feeling of life & let it pass you by without realizing it - I’m thankful I’ve learned a bit and working towards slow Homemaking & slow living everyday! I still have a long ways to go myself, but I’m on the path and that’s what’s important
I've been breaking chores down to 1-hour or less time slots. This really helps me to not overdo it.

Being disabled with chronic pain, slow homemaking is the only type that I know, LOL. I also have a Cricut, that I don't use. I need to get it out & put it to use, but finding time & energy is hard to come by.
Amanda, hello from Illinois. I really wanted to say thank you. I love 💓 this video ! I need to slow down and just enjoy life. I have been so stressed that Im giving myself anxiety attacks. Thanks for the chocolate recipes they will make good Christmas gifts🎄. I just bought two Christmas gifts and a birthday gift today. It was a good day to shop. My son likes to use over size towels to dry off with, so I always buy beach towels at the end of summer. This is so silly, but I got so excited today when I found some for $4.00.
