I bought this glove like 3 weeks ago and played my first game with it and took many groundballs, Honestly although it doesnt make me a better fielder with my movements of course, it actually did make me so much more confident in any ball that was hitting my glove. There were a few balls that I didn’t field cleanly and the ball felt like it really did stick in there. The mental side of this confidence in the glove really actually did make me a better fielder in that sense. So yes i very much see this glove as a plus and certainly was never a negative in my experiences so far.
i have a 2021 Wilson a2000 spin control and i’ve had it for almost a year and the dimples held up pretty well. yea it had worn down a lot but it’s not as bad as i thought it would be. and from my use it didn’t help to much but i felt like it helped in a few plays. like diving for a ball and hard hit balls with a lot of spin
the fact that it’s not more expensive is the part i think is cool it’s makes u a tiny bit better it’s looks cool so might as well buy it if it cost the same makes u the slightest bit better and it’s looks sick
I wonder if this tech would be more effective in softball with a bigger ball/more surface area. Especially with spin being more prevalent in slo-pitch.
you should try out rico custom gloves. They make a cheap glove at $159 and their most expensive is only $259. Not many have reviewed the cheaper $159 ones and im not sure if its worth it. My current glove is is the mark of a pro but i bought it from a friend who brok it in one in the pinky ( i play two in the pinky)
Can u PLEASE make a video on how to break in this glove. I’m thinking about buying it, and wanted to know how to break this glove in. Great video, u are so smooth with the glove! Keep up the good work. I’m subscribed
I looked to see if 44 would let me choose the blonde ‘44’ stamped leather for the palm of my EX-10 just for the spin control. It was not an option in the builder but I wonder if they would allow the special request?
If you ever wonder if dimpled leather helps or not, grab a pair of dimpled batting gloves and throw a frisby. It deadens spin in its path. You don't feel it as much in a ball glove because so little of your finger actually works into the glove, but it works. You can take a wire mesh to your glove and get the same effect, just looks a lot crueler.
Hey, I love the advice that you give in your videos and I have a question, I have been looking for a glove for third base, I prefer a bigger glove (around 11.75 or 12 inches) what do you recommend?
For 11.75 the MC26 is pretty great or any Wilson 1787 (same thing different name) orrrr any Rawlings glove that is 11.75” or 12” but starts with pro200 in the name
@@ballgloveking correct . Rawlings spin stopper . It was a giant paper weight of a glove . Then ssk was next . Ball is gonna do its thing in the glove no matter what
My mom just got me Rawlings glove conditioner for Easter, what are your thoughts on it? im thinking about using it on this youth mark of a pro that Im refurbishing as a trainer.
I’d look into the open back style first base mitts from any major brand. The open style is any that have the open back by the fingers rather than the one small hole for the index. They are all similar and great gloves so the main thing you need to decide is which leather type you like so I suggest going into a dicks and feeling the gloves around
Getting back into baseball again. I’m looking for the best used Fielding (SS) baseball glove for the money. Not trying to spend too much, I’m really just looking for the best I web shaped glove. I’ve been looking at the Louisville slugger pro flare as price point & shape…. Any recommendations on the best used glove for the money?
There’s a ton of great gloves, if you are buying used it has more to do with the individual glove and what kind of condition it’s in plus how well it was broken in The flare isn’t a bad idea, but a Wilson 1786 or a Rawlings pro200 model are very well rounded gloves so if you find a good deal those would be great
@@ballgloveking thanks, This really helped alot! Think I’ll be going with the Rawlings pro200… I found a really nice one broken in for a good price on eBay, I appreciate your help been watching your videos awhile now

Hey I was just wondering... did you use the hot water treatment on this glove? I wonder because the gunmetal grey seems like it might fade on to the blonde leather.
Can you do a video about Nike and adidas baseball gloves. It’s weird that the biggest sports manufacturers don’t have much information about its baseball products
I noticed that there is an a2000 with spin control, have you reviewed that glove? I’m trying to decide what to get my son. He’s 12. Do you have a suggestion on which one to get?
Love the videos! I was wondering if you could do a video similar to what you did on Matt Chapman, Mike Trout, and other mlb player's glove. Would you consider making a video on how to break in Tatis Jr and Bichette's glove?
@@ballgloveking Do you know what the difference is between a Wilson A2k 1786 and A2000 1786? Are they both the same but they have different types of leather?
Yeah the difference is only in the leather. So at that point it comes down to which one feels better to you. A2Ks are a little softer but not in a bad way. Very comfortable and just slightly thicker feeling than an A2000
I have not had the dimples flatten, I was saying I’m curious if they will overtime. I haven’t heard that this is a problem though from people who have used them more than I have
Nah I wouldn’t say they are better. They are both solid, if I had to pick one I’d say Franklin is nicer (if your buying the nicer version that is, they sell cheap batting gloves as well as nicer models)
So… I got the A2000 with spin control and I first thought it was a design but no it stops the spin and I learned that 5 hours later after I broke it in 🤣
Yeah definitely but hey are priced high because they are more like a collectors piece. They are not better than other gloves they just look way cooler haha
So idk if you remember or not but i'm the one who asked about what would be a glove for a starter first baseman, but my coach has been watching me as a first baseman and ive been playing for a month straight and havent dropped a ball coming towards me yet, and he talked to me about being the teams catcher because our catcher isnt the best he cant really catch and drops the ball alot and when he gets like a sinker in the dirt he blocks it, and i want to know what would be a good catchers mit with alot of protection and maybe some help on how to catch those fastballs because ive torn my thumb ligament because im in a sr league with 14 to 18 year old pitchers and they are throwing 80-90 mph and i don't want to catch that ball and it tears my thumb or anything like that.
