Tiger made him the richest sportsperson in NZ back in the 2000s, as a caddie!!!!!
Chet Carson You’re a fucking idiot, he’s won 15 majors. Honestly the most ignorant uninformed comment I’ve ever seen.
I wouldnt call him a sports person . 😂😂😂
@Chet Carson lol. You know nothing about golf.
@@kevinkelly6479 why
@@cheesemccheese5780 im talking about the caddy the guy is not a sports man he is a caddy .
This guy talks but says absolutely nothing.

M Goldey You have the perfect avatar for this comment, considering one of homers best quotes ever was “You take forever to say nothing”! 😂
It's called 'being diplomatic'. I've heard Steve advise Tiger on putts and seen them drop on Steve's say so. What I think, is that Steve developed a public profile of his own. Tiger's ego took a hammering over the scandal and Steve was a target of opportunty. Steve is now retired and Tiger is once again banking good cheques. Good for them and good for golf.
Because he makes his living from carrying rich peoples golf bag.
Tiger made this guy the richest sportsman in New Zealand at one point...says it all!
Joe Cool and what part of my original reply, from 2 years ago is factually incorrect, Einstein?!
“Hold no grudge?” This is the definition of a punk.Tiger virtually made this guy, for real!
Tiger picked Steve as a caddie.... for a good reason. They won many tournaments together....together. A Team, you people are so stupid.
Right, who do these people think they are?
Tiger was full of himself and didn't care who he hurt. Lust for power, fame n sex does that to a person and somehow it is spun by you guys that it's the caddie's fault.
Tiger was the leader and hopefully he apologized to Steve for being a tool.
Tiger would have won more tournaments had he kept steve on ,tiger had most of his wins with steve on the bag the only punk is you ya tool
More like wish I had been more a friend than a complete wanker when when Tiger scandal came out. 😂
Lol

@@finneganzahir6598 can you stop scamming, dick
Classic example of media training. Bensinger was probing for dirt but Steve gave him nothing, well played.
It’s part of the job brother
Broke the Man Code dude! No matter what you should've just moved on gracefully. I just carried the bag, read off the yardage. I'm thankful everyday Tiger gave me the opportunity to be apart of his career. That's all he should've said. Everyone of us men know the man code, " Don't no shit, Haven't heard shit, and Ain't seen shit!" Made you a lot of money!
@Joe Cool ....Sounds like you know him personally. First, I don't think he was to rich, by what you call it, before he got on board with Tiger. As I know of, he caddied for Ray Floyd and Greg Norman back then. And I'm pretty sure the big money purses was not in golf as of then, until Tiger came along. Now no one knows for sure what he made with Tiger, but we all can pretty much assume, being on Tigers bag, made him more money than he ever had. My point was that he should've never did that sit down interview, whether he knew anything or not, if he was close to him or not, or if they wives were friends or not. That was his boss, period! And to say some of the shit he said, being bitter, when he was on Adam's bag too! He might not have known or chose not to tell, who gives a shit either way. He put himself in it when he sat down to do that interview. That is a Man code violation.
Deal with it!!!!
You’re a dumbass. If Stevie was just a ‘yes’ man then he never would have got the job in the first place. You’re a simp so you’d keep your mouth shut for a paycheck. But Stevie is an actual man. And he caddied for hall of fame players for many years prior to Tiger, he didn’t need Tiger to make good money from golf.
The reality of it is Tiger felt this man was not loyal. Period. Steve knows exactly what time it is. He talks and says nothing. Tiger and Joe have been together for eight years. In a recent interview Joe said that he would have waited one hundreds years for Tiger. Now that is loyalty. You can not buy that kind of loyalty. Nobody thought he would be back or ever win again. LOL. Thank you Joe for your character.
Tiger needs a Chauffer the dude crashes cars a lot..
LOL
I’d be so grateful just to make a living as a caddie. To become a millionaire doing that, wow your are the luckiest SOB. But Tiger owes you absolutely nothing. Just be grateful he brought u along for the ride.
yeah unbelievable ego on display...I think most, like you and I would have been calling Tiger every day offering support and asking if there was anything we could do to help him out, etc....(even though in tiger's case that would have been a stupid question...but you ask it anyway as a friend/loyal employee). He could have still been studying courses, other players, talked about scheduling/courses/return planning/encouragement, etc. ie. STATY ENGAGED in your job...... But instead he sat around and pouted and made it all about him. smh
and your point about being along for the ride is sad on one hand. The ONE guy that was there with Woods during all his great success won't even be able to sit with Tiger in their older years and have a drink together with fond memories. instead the back stabber ruined all of that for both of them. what an absolute tool.
Mind you, I (nor do any of us) truly know ALL the details that led to the demise of their friendship. But what is disturbing to me is how many people are saying things like 'he made millions with Tiger and should be gratefu'l. Ummm but at what expense 🤔??!! Remember Tiger had shady behavior going on in his life and who knows what this guy felt he had to do to keep Tiger's indiscretions under wraps so it wouldn't affect Tiger's game play or image.
I really enjoy Graham’s interviews , although on this occasion interviewing an apple would of been more interesting .
Would *have*
Or maybe your Granny Smith.

"When you won the Australian Masters." I'll be darned. I had no idea that Williams won that.
Caddies get the win too cause they get percentage of the pay
Guys still a dousch
this guy acts like he hits the shots.
I wouldn't even be commenting or clicking on this video if it wasn't for Tiger being his former employer.
Everyone wishes they quit before they got fired Steve. Big revelation there pal.
Bruh, the amount of money Tiger made for you...
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to recall that Williams used to caddy for Greg Norman and Raymond Floyd. No doubt, he made a ton of $$$ caddying for Tiger, but I think he did pretty well for himself before Tiger. I'm curious as to what the difference of opinion was about.
Character buddy, drop those who made you when they need your support. You’ve been a nothing since you left Tiger. The greatest golfer of this era.
He won the masters with Adam Scott 2013
Ever.
Sour grapes. But I get it. Imagine being fired after years and years of working for someone. You get to thinking you are friends, then it is over. This guy said and did a lot though to be fired. He didn't stand behind Tiger at all. Just google him, and there is one video after the other of him insulting Tiger. Find me a single one of Tiger insulting him. You will not.
Tiger is a jerk. He used to come to the hotel I work at. The staff universally had the same opinion of him. He is rude. Nicest thing I can say about him.
@@milt6208 waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
@@MikeySkywalker You get on your knees and give him your best. Already sounds like you did.
@@milt6208 Knees? All I said is the caddy should be grateful. He is a millionaire because of Tiger. If you want to hate Tiger then go for it. I could care less. I don't know what him treating you bad at your job has to do with his relationship with his caddy. Stop putting yourself in the center of everything. What I said had nothing to do with you, your job or how Tiger treated you.
@@MikeySkywalker and all I said was Woods is rude and not a very nice person. What I should have said he treats people like trash. His caddy he also treated like trash and dumped him. I really don't care. I never dealt with the a hole but I know others who did and he is just a jerk.
BULLSHIT!!! Steve was heartbroken when Tiger fired him. He showed his true color in the days and weeks following.
exactly the reason why him and hank haney won't ever get hired by any notable players on tour
He’s a greedy son of a bitch too. Tiger paid him an estimated $13 million over the course of their partnership.
Why are you interviewing a caddie?
Next to God , Tiger made this man and this how you repay the man ?
therock007dmx totally agree. what a snake. I wish he would just go away already.
@ max_eh Tiger made this guy a multi millionaire and instead of being grateful he's bitter. Tiger didn't cheat on him so why's he so upset?
He won without him. Get over it bud.
exactly the reason why he can't find work as a full-time caddy for any notable players. him and hank haney.
Tiger is a fucking dick. Notice that Tiger always called him "Stevie", which is a way of making him sound like a kid.
Steve Williams helped Tiger Woods so much in all his golf tournaments! Steve Williams is possibly the greatest caddie of all time. 😊🙏
Hes still just a caddy.
Williams was a good part of Woods success. Great caddy
When the butler thinks he owns the Mansion or the Chauffeur thinks he owns the Rolls Royce, things never work out... Enter Steve Williams, "Any one need a drink or a drive to the market?"...
This guy looks like one of those people just waiting for something to get pissed off about.
Hello!!!!! Ya don't go moonlight and work for the competition while you're currently employed. And then the stuff you did after you got fired. NOT COOL.
yeah, he had plenty of cash to just "hang out" and wait for tiger to get healthy. Then he says he couldn't just sit around blah blah blah....but then retires soon afterwards so he can sit around. smh.....The classy thing/right thing for him to do about "the scandal" was simply say "NO COMMENT." That's what a loyal employee/comrade/brother does....not bitch and whine and then take off to caddie for another player.
@@pb12661 Only people that don't have much money would say such a thing. If having enough to retire is all anyone should care about, then what you're saying is no business owner or employee should ever want to make any more. One man's retirement is another man's chump change. A man who has 2 millions wants to work for 3. That's normal. When you could be making another million in the next year and you're making a fraction of that, leaving should be expected and considered ok. It's just business. Another job opportunity comes up you get to decide if you want to take it, and if you do take it, you've done nothing wrong.
He's made alot of money caddying for Tiger. No he didn't want to leave him earlier, he milked him for all he could.
Apparently Tiger was so cheap he would leave a group dinner early and not pay up. Nothing more unsavory than a cheap mega rich guy. Disappointing.
Milked him? Seriously?
Hey certainly made a lot of money caddying for Tiger but he also earned every cent of it.
Tiger made this guy a fortune, 10X more than most caddies ever dream of. I think Tiger would rather just hear a "thank you" and then you can move on your way Stevie.
wordpressobsessed $13 million is the estimated number bro .
At one point he was the highest paid sports person/athlete in New Zealand 🤣
Could you imagine the Christmas bonuses from Tiger!!
Was none
@@ronrobinson1326 was much!!
It's not all S.Williams' fault. Tiger made him best man or something at his wedding, and they were allegedly complete buddies...when all that goes to crap, feelings get hurt. However, S.Williams would be worth 10% of what he is today without Tiger and the professionalism should have kept him from saying the things that he said about Tiger. You really want to feel slighted, talk to El Tucan.
He fails to mention that he asked Tiger for a raise first.
I'm guessing these two didn't go for a beer after this interview.
These titles are a little click baitish. He never said he wished, he said perhaps it was time to go.
Yeah, but when you consider the information Steve could possibly share from the best player in the world, I would not want my caddy running around the PGA caddying for everyone. Steve doesn’t mention that part
Friends:
Don't just dislike the video because of what the guy said. It hurts Graham for no reason.
Steve, it's not about you. What did you do lately?
Let’s not forget, after the s#!t hit the fan in Tigers personal life, the first thing this guy does is ask for a pay raise🙄. Plus, he was more worried about how Tigers shenanigans reflected on him than how they reflected on Tiger. I was never a huge Tiger fan, but you find out who your REAL friends are in tough times, not when everything is going smooth.
People here going on about Steve being disloyal!. All you Tiger fanboys, remember who it was that couldn't keep himself loyal to his wife. That's when it went downhill. Maybe Steve thinks infidelity in marriage is a moral line no one, even Tiger should never cross.
What duties does a caddy perform other than carrying around the clubs?
I think this is one of Tigers biggest mistakes. Steve was very loyal to him and they were very close. I hated to see them part ways. No doubt it was during a turbulent time in Tigers life and really feel they could heal and forgive each other if One person in mind would reach out and apologize and tell him how much he really cared about him. Steve was definitely a father figure for him when Tiger needed him the most. We cannot forget that.
Typical, you get fired and then say. I should of quit way sooner
Steve handled this interview well. Pridefull yet humble.
He didn't say fuckinv anything
Don't understand the hate about Steve. He has said Tiger is the greatest golfer of all time, and he was totally diplomatic about ending the pairing. What's he supposed to say? He should be happy about it? LOL. He's a human being, and has never spread dirt or insults.
From what Stevie said at the time it happened, Tiger had given him his blessing to loop for Scott after Tiger was out due to injuries. Tiger actually confirmed this around the same time. According to Stevie's earlier testimonies, it was Tigers friends that influenced Tiger into making the decision to fire Stevie for being unfaithful. There were those that claimed one of the individuals that influenced Tiger was his current caddie. What is nice about this interview is that Stevie is obviously trying to let bygones be bygones.
Famous for carrying golf clubs.
Much more than carrying clubs, but be proud of your ignorance, might get you somewhere in life lol
@@jasonroberts2049 Yeah ok LOL!
Tiger is John Fogerty. The caddie is Tom Fogerty. Tiger is Gene and Paul. The caddie is Peter Criss. A little humility goes a long way when you're not the person responsible for all the success.
Some of the Caddies have more knowledge of the game than the players on the PGA.
I hope you’re not referring to Stevie knowing more than Tiger
I was referring to Fluff knowing more than just about any Tour Player. Tiger not included but close
@@bradley_Bradley LOL
it's like Trevino said " I never had a caddie/coach that could beat me"... but for some reason , Stevie always seemed to stand in the cameras view a little too long for my liking...don't tell me Stevie never indulged himself in a little "STRANGE"during all those trips around the world...that's the problem with golf, everybody's on image control.. I wish tiger would pull some of Stevie's skeletons outta the closet.. but he won't .. he'll just take it to the grave
He is a caddie that's it, why would you even interview a caddie?
He wasn't just anybody's caddy...
You have no idea the significance of a caddie, do you? ;)
This is what I've been saying about poor people. Some of us lacks gratitude.

I don't like this Graham character
What a load of crap Steve Williams talks he had no money until he started caddying for Tiger Woods I’m glad Tiger sacked him he bad mouthed Tiger at Bridgestone he sure misses those big bucks he was making as Tigers caddy. he’s now trying to make money doing interviews haha
No way should caddies get 10% of earnings. Can’t believe there isn’t a cap on their wages for top players. Cap should be $200,000
This guy would sign up to be Tiger's caddy tm if he got the call. There has never been a day where he didnt want to be Tiger's caddy
Why Steve Williams triggering everyone in the comments. Nobody here knows how it was between him and tiger.
I def think tiger fired him on the phone, i do think he should have 'let him go in person' just cause 12 years is a long time, but if he was in New Zealand that a long way to fly with a bad back to fire someone.
“Mr. Gilmour, I’m your caddy!!”
SMH...Com on Stevie. Please stop being deceptive. You fired yourself when you went and worked for the competition for the second time after Nike told you not to.
Why was the caddy interviewed? ...He didn’t want to be interviewed!

Love the Tiger faithful bashing this guy for speaking openly and honestly. In many, many ways Tiger was an arrogant jerk when he was on top, the fact this guy says he didn’t like the way it ended with Tiger makes him a villain?? Why did he agree to an interview? He shrugs most questions.
So your boss cheats on his wife and you feel you have to quit. That seems odd.
Wishes he left Tiger Woods? Hahaha.. No caddie leaves Tiger Woods in his prime, because they know they won't make as much money with another golfer. During rounds, the players call all the shots anyway. The player makes the caddie money, not the other way around.
What was the difference of opinion between him and Woods?
Tiger was Injured. Stevie wanted to caddy for Adam Scott during that down time. Tiger was not impressed that he was going to work for the competition.
He's lucky to have been with tiger.
Tiger has only 1 major since firing Stevie

Those who can play golf play golf. Those who can't Caddie.
old news but the truth is that this caddie had a highly successful and profitable career with Woods. In addition, there can be no hard feelings because Tiger is and was even more than, a real winner. However, he was young, his father had died far too early which makes all sons have a real adjustment to reality. So, constantly seeking to induce Mr. Williams to say something ugly or resentful is bad journalism. Yes, it is common journalism and it is eye-catching. But NO caddie in history could ever regret anything about this particular term with Woods. It disgusts me that half the questions were trying to (mis) lead Mr. Williams into saying something negative. Stupid questions from an intelligent interviewer.
Steve you carried his sticks mate, you were nothing short of his servent get over yourself
Zero self awareness and a real joy.
He would never leave Tiger, he was making too much money with tiger to ever leave him
When your employer (Tiger / Nike) advises you not to go work for the competition after allowing the first and you do it anyway...then you just fired yourself. AKA...butt hurt? 👀
I can bet you Steve Williams is about to release a book or something.
Just getting PR hype
Tiger is an enigma. Currently he appears to be an outstanding father and a somewhat warm friendly person. The problem is he was raised to think he's the center of the universe and that came back to bite him squarely in the sphincter muscle. It's a good lesson to never let your head get too big because the universe will show karma right to your face
talk about an over inflated sense of accomplishment. yes caddies are important, but they are still just a caddy. He would have never left Tiger, it was guaranteed millions for him. And I have been a caddy for years (including for some club pros), it's a lot more involved then just carrying a bag. But even if I made a fraction of what Steve did, and was able to travel all over the United States and the world to some of the finest places, who can say they even get that opportunity. What an SOB.
Why are people still talking to an X caddie!! I mean really.
His book ‘Out Of The Rough’ is a good read.
Tiger Woods is not a nice person. Nothing surprises me about him rudely treating people. It is who he is.

Steve’s wife had a lot to do with him leaving. Target was that his wedding target was his kids godfather tiger helped finance his racing. Ask Steve’s wife what happened.

What scandal? He cheated on his wife like millions of other men. What do you care?
Comparing Stevey Williams to Mr. Joe LaCava is like Night and Day
Maybe he'll come out of "retirement" to caddie for his best mate Phil Mickelson on LIV?

The only guy in the world that makes Tiger look like a human being. Tiger, of whom I’m no fan, put a lot of money in this guy’s pocket and still won’t stop. He wished he would have left Tiger earlier, I wish Tiger would have backed into a hydrant years earlier. They deserve each other.
When u are disloyal to ur boss, of course ur gonna get fired. Its like marriage. For better or worse.
Please explain does this analogy make any sense here? For better or worse means not being fired when things are at their worst doesn’t it?

Good job not taking the bait, Steve Williams.
The reason these imaginary Bitcoins are worth so much, is they are hard to mine and have limited amount to be found. Believe me, a true friend is much rarer than that. Unfortunately, I'm not sure even with all the Majors and weddings and thousands of hours spent together, Williams and Tiger were ever true to each other. Perhaps not even themselves.
