when I saw this I was like "oh wow I wonder what cool triks she has that I didn't think of?" finished video I should have expected nothing more, and now I am biking my outfit majestically through the water
Dear Mo, i was feeling kinda meh today and didnt wanna eat my chinease take away, i know! and i have wanted to start youtube for 5 years now and i just had no idea what today which made me more meh. Then i watched some more of your videos, and then some more, and just went on a marathon of Mo-media and i felt happy again, thank you for helping me and many others
Ahh it's so pretty! Distressing clothes is one of my favorite things about larp prepping. I've never thought of using a cheese grater (usually I cut a few little holes with scissors and go to town on it with sand paper to fray the edges) but I definitely want to try this now. :D
Played a post apoc larp where adding some considerable lived in was needed. Decided that I needed a good 'got hit by a car' vibes. Found friend with a Mustang. And 3 burn outs later... easily identifiable and washable tire track. And some good grime all around.
Congrats on getting on the LARP panel! I had the honour of being at one of the first screenings of Treasure Trapped and the folks at Cosmic Joke have done an amazing job with it.
Hell, this just came in useful. My clothes always look pretty distressed, but I've got this zombie hunter thing which is challenging even my grunginess. If I was in my old job, I could just wear the "costume" - it doesn't really deserve the term - while angle-grinding and welding. Otherwise known as burning holes in it and occasionally just outright setting it alight. Many's the time I've looked down to find out where the creeping warmth was coming from and wished I'd had some marshmallows to hand. Anyway, enough wittering. Thanks for sharing you offbeat wisdom.
I'm Not Brian As far as anyone can tell Treasure Trapped was the first LARP system ever officially run. I know it's where things stated here in the UK. Every other system or LARP kit manufacturer in the UK can trace it's roots to it.
I am way to new to this channel hehe I didnt event understood what LARP was, but now I do. But are you going to a LARP any time soon? they look so fun and also now I want to make my own character and stuff haha. Really like your videos, I watched most of them in one day... :$ so cool!
Suki Shengshun I want to say cotton? I'm such a novice sewer I don't think with fabric types quite yet. I just walk around the fabric store feeling everything and imagining what the dress would feel like. I probably look like a weirdo
i really want to larp but i live in Brisbane Australia and there is no larp places and i don't have any friends interested in what i want to dooo im soo sad
"Your mother's dead." I'm dying right now!
+Hannah Psmith are you the dress's mother

This made me gigglesnort.
Cheers
"... Your mother's dead" I laughed way harder at that than I should have.
7 years later and I still wheeze at it

These are some great tips! My favorite for serious dirt: shoe polish, applied with a wadded paper towel and/or old toothbrush.

Me: *casually rides my bike down the street with a dress dragging on a leash*
My neighbor: what are you doing?
Me: PREPARING FOR COSPLAY!!! CHARGE!
I can just see myself dragging a costume behind my bike to the park xD

This is a cool idea to really complete a costume! All of the costuming for the Game of Thrones show was dirtied up to give it a more "authentic" look.

Mo Mo, you are sweet cinnamon bun that is too good for this world. :) Love the videos and congrats on the panel!
I love how Treasure Trap was a British LARP summer camp a few decades back, and now LITERALLY EVERY OTHER LARP THING REFERENCES IT!!! XD

definitely subscribed for your "goofy face"

Ah fair enough ^_^ me too to be honest, thank you though ^_^ it is a beautiful dress keep up the good work
hey sand paper and file can do some neet things to fabrics and I personally use them for jeans to make them more worn.
I recommend just pouring coffee on it (I know from accidental experience)
This is so awesome! I'm making an NPC outfit just to wear around (because im a lame nerd) and I wanted a tutorial on this.
(tip) rip it and sew cuts if your character is like a fighter, like with swords and stuff...
Also tip: sandpaper also helps fray edges.
NOOOO I COULDNT GET THE TICKETS TO THE CON IM JUST HEART ATTACKING ILL GET IN I NEED TO SEE YOU im not that psycho im just freaking out a lil
Hey mo mo, where did reba rapscallions go?? I'm feeling like every time I look for your videos, they have been deleted?? What's going on?
How do you make it look like your character lost his/her hand? I'm designing my character for LARP, and she's missing her left hand from the wrist-up.
i will do this
You should cosplay as Erza Scarlet from Fairytail!! XD
where did the blue part on the front of the dress go???
thank you!! also have you lost weight Momo?
Tea staining is fun too
i really want to larp but i live in Brisbane Australia and there is no larp places and i don't have any friends interested in what i want to dooo im soo sad
