Fully automated conveyor system for a leading ecommerce 3PL fulfilment centre in Cape Town, South Africa.
Telescopic belt conveyor that extends into the back of the truck for offloading at receiving bay. Saving up to 50% of the time and reducing the handling of the inbound cartons.
Inline scanning and weighing of received items.
Decanting stations with empty waste carton removal conveyor.
Stock put into tote bins and fed with a conveyor system to multilevel picking floor.
Items are picked from shelves and placed into tote bins.
Tote bins merge from the multilevel and feed down to the consolidation area.
Totes are loaded manually into the consolidating wall and items are picked per order from the consolidation pick to light solution.
Consolidated order is conveyed in tote bins to the packing stations.
Items are packed per order and full case is labelled and then put on the outbound conveyor.
Each full case is automatically scanned, weighed and dimensioned and then conveyed to the dispatch area.
The system is designed to minimise manual handling, eliminate damages and improve efficiency of the receiving, picking and packing operations.
