There was a solid movie that came out a couple years ago, that disturbed a lot of American audiences called "Beasts of No Nation" which was a fictional film about child soldiers in Africa. A lot of people I know here in the U.S. could barely watch the movie to completion, because they were so unsettled by the idea of children being killed and corrupted by war: on one hand I think this is a testament to the American sense of life, as Rand would say, on the other hand, I think it's a testament to how much Americans are removed from the reality of war, and how much that affects foreign policy...there's a reason why Biden waited so long to retaliate against Iran and the Houthis.

This conflict started almost 100 years ago. Discussing that this is an Oct 7th moment is so narrow minded. What was the Palestinian right to self defence? This is far from Libertarian thinking. Ben Shapiro part 2

Philosophy is meant to apply to current events, so you can make the right judgments about them. Hearing objectivist perspectives on these topics is interesting.

Leonard Peikoff was right when it comes down to Trump vs Biden. While not perfect, Trump is the better choice between both.

Do the Palestinians have the right to defend themselves? They’re the ones under occupation?

If by defending themselves you mean their terrorism, no, they don't.

@@tennoio1392 of course not thru terrorism. We’re talking about the “right” it’s a yes or no Question, for both sides really.

You mean the primitive jihadist totalitarian state that launched a war of aggression against its free neighbor?
They have forfeited all rights when they chose savagery and terrorism as a perpetual way of life.

Ask Hamas they are the ones who have and are still occupying Gaza... No or Yes

If by occupation you mean Israel in general, it’s not an occupation. It’s the country of Israel. There never was a Palestinian state. They could’ve had one but they said no, several times. Jews got Land they purchased and then yes conquered in wars and battles Arab Muslims started and lost. Al Aqsa is on Temple Mount which was built by Hebrews long before Islam was a thing. then it was conquered by others and Muslims. Guess what, Israel has it back and they allow Muslims to go there. Muslims don’t allow Jews to do anything in the areas they control.
We can all tell your thoughts and intentions in this matter are severely frustrated. Just stop with this ridiculous “occupation” rhetoric. It’s worn out.
