I was going to recomend setting an alarm on your phone that calvin could hear for potty. My little guy wanted to train at 11 months he hated being wet, and wouldn't even sleep through the night. He would grab and pull at his diper wanting it off. We started him at 11 months. He was trained by one year old! He even stopped wetting through the night; because, he wanted to be dry. He is 2 saturday and still wakes us up 1 to 3 times a night to potty, then goes back to sleep. The timer and sticker chart really helped. He knew how to sign potty and all done, so he could communicate his needs.

Impressive, trick is you can't force them to potty, u just have to wait until they're interested or hates getting changed, hates being wet/dirty..

Hey! I think you and Ellie are doing a great job with Calvin. Each kid is different. What's worked for for some kids i know is this. When they go potty in the toilet they get three treats. We have an underwear check every hour and if they are dry they get two treats, if wet explain we go in the potty and then have them help clean up. Any way i think you guys are doing great with your kids. Such polite, sweet kids

Guys he is not ready yet. When they are ready they just do it. They don’t need rewards etc. They just do it and it’s easy. Give him time you are getting stressed over it.

My youngest is the exact same age as Calvin (May 2015- almost to the day) and he has done the potty thing a few times but he is 100% not quite ready and I’ve learned that of kids are not 100% into it then don’t push it- surprisingly when they are ready they will be potty trained in like a week and never look back. A few times watching you guys and how much your working on potty training I started feeling guilty - my son will go for dad more than Mom 😆. 1 kid was 18 months, the other just turned 2 then one was 3 1/2- and I’m not sure when this 2 year old will be 100% ready. 🤷♀️

Ellie and Jared, you guys are doing great at potty training! I think the biggest tip that you have taught others is not to give up! My son didn’t willingly potty train 100% in underwear all day long until the week before his 4th birthday. So kudos to you guys for keeping strong!
I love seeing everyone's different potty training tips and tricks. When the times comes to potty train Arwen I hope some of these work for her.

Alycia W I agree! My daughter is 7 now but I remember it being so fun. We did the potty in the living room and the bathroom. We just let her run around nekkie. It was surprisingly easy.

When our daughter was little my mother-in-law told me her main goal was by the time her kids went to kindergarten she wanted them out of diapers and off the bottle. She said it all works itself out, don't sweat the small stuff. It is easy to get stressed when we look at what other kids are doing and kids sense that. You guys are doing great encouraging him but letting him grow at his own pace. Keep up the great work!

I really love your back yard! Is it common to have such a big one where you live? And offcourse.. I love everything about you guys, you are so sweet, truthful, kind, honest,positive, and allways great to watch! So, Thank you for everything you share with us! We are blessed to get so into your life like we do. Pottitraining is a struggle, but,they gets it when they are ready.. I have 3 grown up children.. The 1. I pottitrained finished 2 years old, the 2. was 2 1/2 years old... The 3.. We didn't train, but when she was 3,5 yrs old, I said to her one day, "we are out of daipers, so now you need to go to the toilet instead." and guess what! She said "ok!" and that was the end of her in daipers 😂 Cute 👍And you guys.. The 3. baby, as she was.. We have never really struggle to raise her.. I feel we never did actually raise her at all.. She just followed her siblings, learned by their mistakes, and remembered to not do the same.. Easy as that! You'll see, the 3. one, they just follow the pack, and grow up to be so great. Good luck with your magic number 3! ❤ I notice you go to church, an have you faith I like that, and have my believes to. Love the church in Norway, we have been a christen folk, but offcourse we have a lot of religions over here too... Maybe Calvin isn’t ready. We tried at 2.5 and my son didn’t have much interest. We tried 6 months later at 3 yrs and he was trained in one day. Much less stressful than forcing it👍🏼
foxgrl05 that could work. I just feel like he is at a slower pace. He likes to do it sometimes but not all the time. They just have to go with his pace. I believe some kids need a push at things to get going.
My 4 year, she has no interest in learning, she don't like going to school. No interest at all.
She don't want to grow up. If I don't push her a lil but she won't ever learn..
I did take her out of per k cause I think she needs one on one. And so far she doing well. Some kids need a lil but if a push but not a big one.
I think they are doing a good job with what they are doing. They are his parents and they know what's the best way for him to learn.

Good luck with the potty training. Both of my boys ASKED to be trained because I left them until they were really ready. Then, when I did the training... it took two days, honestly! Ellie, have you been using the Hand Lettering book? I got one after you showed yours. I love it. How are you doing?
