Usually you take Collei as a second dendro in a party. She has relatively long skill animation but application happens fast. If you optimize the team, then the rotation becomes faster if you give her an Instructor and have a skill-trigger for Deepwood on another unit It just feels more fluid, especially in comparison to waiting for Yaoyao's proc of Instructor
True, I used Instructor Collei for aggravate so I took that set to Nilou comp but I also noticed the inconsistence of Instructor set. Honestly, Nilou comp is so chaotic often I don't know who is doing what to optimize based on observation. 4p Emblem seems to be the way to go for Collei but only three of my characters have 4p Emblem on them; Xingqiu is still waiting for his and I also want one for Rosaria so I wonder when will Collei get her.
I was already used to play Collei with dps pieces focusing on her personal damage in bloom (I don’t even have Kokomi, so it’s even more difficult for me to overtake the dendro aura), but I’ve never realised that 4pc Emblem could be good on her for the same reason… of course it is 😂 her burst (if it doesn’t fly to Narnia when aiming at flying enemies) hits a lot of times, it makes sense that when optimising her artifacts you can fully use both the effects and have a net positive in damage (even if the 4pc effect doesn’t buff her skill). I wonder how much the difference mathematically is compared to a 2pc combination… I’m too lazy to do the math though.
I can only finish this abyss with dmc collei kuki kokomi draft, with collei lv51. Her c2 really help, more dendro apllication, but i have to stick closer to enemy. Waiting for nahida 😅

by default I usually build all my characters with lv9 as their base talent level for skill and burst. So I think I'll go with this Collei build to make use of her 9,9 skill and burst. Currently she's in 4pc instructor.
Ofc Flower must be 5* off-set when you min-max Instructor. The biggest spike from Collei I got when using OG-bloom with Kazuha - sadly we don't have big waves of 500k+HP enemies :P
This is crazy cuz ive finally just started building my collei today after finishing ayaka and was wondering what artifacts to use and this just popped up perfect timing 😂 Edit: I know u briefly touched on it but what are ur thoughts on going deepwood on collei so that u can run gilded for more dmg on nahida? I know u mentioned previously that nahidas dmg shouldnt be underestimated so would that be a good choice or is nahida just a more efficient user of deepwood?
good question, but there's no real point using 4gd on nahida. in basically all her teams, especially nilou teams she is the perfect user for deepwood with her consistent hits and aoe range. even in a perfect world, 4gd is only a small theoretical % dmg increase, but again that would assume 100% uptime on dw debuffs which is unlikely for other dendro characters

I like that Collei got really strong AoE dendro application on-demand, but most ppl will probably agree that DMC is just more consistent, comfy and braindead easy to play.
Easy yes, consistent and comfy...maybe 🤔? Nilou's had a handful of abysses that were easy and straightforward enough that it's harder to tell the difference between teams (if Nahida's there) esp if you're not recording/timing. Wenut makes Collei's strengths much easier to notice but it's far from the only content that heavily favors short windows. You could probably argue that DMC basically shutting off if enemies move or don't spawn together is less comfy and it's certainly less consistent. Both great and free options tho 👍
@@mia_2043 DMC's burst lasts longer and Collei has more application but it's shorter and exceed the bloom core limit anyway. I know I'm replying to this extremely late, but DMC actually more steadily applies damage that doesn't turn off, whereas collei's is very short. Because of that I think DMC has more damage overall, and the bursts with DMC literally line up perfectly so you don't need to switch to nahida to throw in potshots while collei's burst comes down but the hydro application and tranquility aura from nilou are still up. This slightly wider window with DMC makes energy collection slightly more forgiving, although collei and DMC are both quite energy hungry.
I play Nilou bloom team with no one on my team having close to 1000 em my nahida is crit built em/dendro/critdmg c0 widsith my nilou is hp/hp/hp 2x20%hp artifact with iron sting c0 my yelan is crit yelan emblem 2pc hp hydro critdmg c0 fav bow and my girlfriend kokomi has 4pc ohc hp hydro healing bonus c0 protoamber they do quite well and doesn't need adjustments when doing f12 with no difficulty I would like to try collei since she's one of my most stacked supports ever
while everyone talking about dendro app Collei can offer, no one tackles about how dendro app should be played in order in Nilou bloom rather than looking Collei dendro app in a general sense. Collei w low EM creating bloom will result to low dmg bloom

EM/Dmg Bonus/Crit are roughly equally strong (they were balanced this way on purpose for sure). Since building EM (up to 1000 effective EM) doesn’t decrease at all her damage, at that point getting more powerful blooms (even if she doesn’t trigger a lot) it’s all a net positive. Things might change if your EM pieces are completely trash while your Dmg and Crit pieces are extremely good, but at that point there are way too many variables to take into account and usually it would barely matter anyway
Hello! I was just wondering if you've seen the 3.6 livestream and the new HP% artifact set. For a Nilou with Key, would 2-HP% 2-HP% now be the optimal build (and if so, what substats should we aim for)? I'm not entirely sure if another 20% HP is worth losing 80 EM from a 2-set, especially if you can get a 20% HP abyss card (which for me would push Nilou HP above 74k). (Thanks in advance for your time!)
hi yes I did see the livestream. Whilst on the surface the new 2pc set does seem to be a definite upgrade, as you mentioned there is still factors like a HP abyss card, strong substats on older artifacts, and a stong 4pc fopl which can make it debatable. Although I do recommend farming it, I will need to aquire a set and do my own testing on release
since collei is going for crit build, is it worth to level her up to 90 and make her talent lvl 9 or can i just stay at 80 with lvl 8 talents and not see a massive damage loss?
I don’t really understand though. There’s a big burst of bloom dmg when she’s onfield, isn’t that her creating blooms? So wouldn’t her EM be important?
Is Collei worth using in a Nilou Kokomi Nahida team if I don't have Key nor Elegy? I heard that Collei is only good if Nilou has Key. If yes then what's the minimum cons for Collei to be worth using?
I believe she's okay at C0 for Nilou however she experiences a minimum spike at C2 because it extends her ultimate duration, getting C4 is also pretty great because it gives more EM to the team.

@@jamiekb9v might be in single target enemies/boss, e.g, wenut abyss? i'm running nilou w/ freedom sworm at c0 (500+em, 55k+hp), (900+em) barbara, (500em+crit circlet) nahida, and c1 collei ER sands dendro crit sacbow... yet its incredibly hard to finish on time even if i finish 1st half ~9:15. testing them for like an hour or two like a madman but still hard and finishable w/ good rng. that's just my experience w/out key.

best depends on which healer. Kokomi teams are good. Yaoyao teams with xingqiu or yelan are equally as good, but even more braindead easy to play. tldr: build them all
Would it be a big difference running a Atk/Dendro/Crit on paradise lost vs Emblem? I do have C6 Collei and Elegy and I kinda did already farm paradise lost for her 😅 ( it was EM focused) so now I'm looking for the best way to change it to a Crit focused build.
@@jamiekb9v so my team would be Nilou(HP%/HP%), Koko (Paradise lost Em/Em/Em), Nahida(Deepwood EM/EM/Crit) and Collei (Emblem ATK/Dendro/Crit). My crit ratio should probably be something like 55/105 if I get the pieces I have left for Emblem right now.

I was aiming to build instructors Collei but seeing how it may not yield a high increase I may just stick to my usual crit build.

a skill artifact set might be better in the future but yes collei uses the 20% er stat well and has a solid burst so emblem is pretty efficient

I love collei's character but since everybody hated her, I did not build her. However, she works surprisingly well with nilou or tighnari.

what is your dendro traveler build in this team? Do you only focus on ER and EM?
yes, that's the correct way. 200 ER and as much EM as possible , 800-900
