What other bands inspire u like PR's Shrines inspires? Curious. Genuinely wonder if there's anyone out like them... Been a fan for oh, 6years or so. My 11yr old daughter & I blast PR in the car, she giggles w the mention of bloody, mountain tops, seeping, pinnacles, making a paste, letting it form...
I honestly thought Bitter Rhymes was going to be released with these tracks. In their Reddit AMA they said it would MAYBE be released on the 10 year anniversary. Darn.
I’ll never forget how dope her last show was in Denver 2022. The stage, the production, everything was a fucking gem. Thanks for the good vibrations. Much Love to you and Corin!!! ✌🏽❤️🎶
we might never know quite what the lyrics are, but i think i have a decent guess (not confident about it all tho). at the very least they should be singable "misheard lyrics" and hopefully can inspire some other interpretations! dear, get down below dear, bow down, speak slow between my wandering nimble toes i haven't got the feeble words to rightfully explain you there only are humble pictures with which to quietly contain you the moon is full inside my grateful womb your round voice carving out the craters pound in cycle a lulling lullaby push your raging calmness 'round me praise whatever element that resides in this sacred firm firmament without your bed to let it sit so sound and tight inside of you beckoning a hasty spring our green things growing in the corners i've expressed them with a red eclipse find with me their spirit host
I remember going to a Neon Indian show in Boise, 2011. Purity Ring and Com Truise opened, hadn't ever heard of Purity Ring. One of the best nights ever. My friend bought a 7" demo, wonder if they still have that...
Wow! Cool story of a show, Com Truise is badass too, although lyric absent, gives me wandering thoughts & inspiration like PR. I daydream too much perhaps whilst PR plays, as I drive...
I listen to my PR CDs, almost daily, a safe space 2 go of wonder, of splendor, of music that can't quite be defined. To describe how it feels in the throes of PR goodness & lust, just listen. U only need a gadget, a stereo, a record player. Get lost in sounds so surreal
I think it's because Purity Ring never (or at least only rarely) have references to real places or worldly concepts so I think they removed it because it would seem out of place referencing a country or specific place. Only example I can think of them referencing a real place is in 'sinew' in the lyric 'drawn out like the Laurentians which is a prehistoric mountain range in Canada and seems quite on-brand for them.
they can't keep the same sound forever ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i think "almanac" beautifully embodied the glimmering feel shrines had but with an expertly evolved purity ring sound
@@conwilcon967 Graves most definitely does not predate Shrines as Corin said the first track he ever produced was Ungirthed which is on Shrines, and I think the second was the Crawlersout demo but I could be wrong. However, I know the track 'Graves' itself was is a scrapped Another Eternity track while the others I think are all more recent than that. I personally think Neverend and Soshy are from the WOMB era.
I remember when this song was "Saltruss" and all we had was the live recording. Thanks so much for resurrecting this! It kicks ass!
I had completely forgotten about this live only track so hype
I still play shrines regularly, thank you purity ring

I have been waiting almost a decade for this song to release Oh my god
New purity ring makes the bad feely go away
Tbf purity ring in general makes the bad feely go away
I first started listening to Purity Ring while deployed to Afghanistan ten years ago, weird to think it has been ten years
Saltruss finally getting it's official release gives me hope for Bitter Rhymes in the future.

@@greenowl2321 They said for the 10 Year Anniversary of Another Eternity, not Shrines. So it may still come in 3 years!
Oh, you’re right! My bad!
@@Good4Josh it's so crazy to think that in 3 years Another Eternity will be 10 years old!
THEYVE DONE IT AGAIN I AM GOING TO CRYYYYYYYY!!!! YOU GUYS KEEP POSTING BANGERS!!! omg this is sooo lovely!!!
Wow this sounds so much like the album this picture is from. It's weird how nostalgic it is even though I've never heard it.
Wow this sounds so good and it’s so weird being transported to that time shrines is eternal

Real ones remember this as "Saltruss" from a decade ago. Never thought I'd see the day for it to get an official release, but so glad
Right?!???!!!
I only discovered purity ring early last year but I can bet it was as beautiful back then as it is rn regardless of any changes made to it

I can't believe Shrines is now over a decade old; this album truly stands the test of time.

Understandable why they didn't put this on the album, it doesn't really stand out from the other songs. Pretty nice though
This B-Side is better than their recent albums that came out, lol sadly.
WOMB was a masterpiece and Graves was a collection of older material they finished up and put out.. They’re literally still so amazing.
