Yu Zhi's character just apparently likes the chase. I just really can't with him. He humiliates her, undermines her, never stands up for her with Hui Hui and her mother, lets her be bullied constantly and yet he wants her back because she's being difficult and telling him no. What is she, his favorite toy that he hasn't finished playing with. If I hadn't seen his utter lack of understanding of HOW you treat someone you love, HOW you don't humiliate them at your weeding, HOW you stand up for them and not let them be bullied by others then I might've thought they were a good couple. Throughout the series the moments in which I rooted for them just couldn't be sustained because his character wasn't actually good enough for her. If they had gone through a separation and he had to learn some hard lessons and come back later a new and improved person who was willing to trust her and fight for her against any and everyone I might've felt a bit better about them. However, I think he was just getting by on his charm and looks and that's not enough in a relationship. He needed to grow up and stop acting entitled. Clearly this male lead annoyed me to no end. And don't get me started on her 'dad', aka That Sperm Donor Over There Who Never Did A Damn Thing for Her And Never So Much As Called But Kept Saying the Word FATHER'....yeah, that guy. :) Ugh, the men in this drama needed to be slapped HARD repeatedly.
After they drive past that tree off life.. I really just wanted to smack that douchey grin right off his face. His arrogance and self absorption are actually repulsive. I swear to gawd if a man ever tried to treat me the way he did her he’d never be able to safely step foot in front of me again. Trust and believe we’d be done forever on that wedding night! Ex’s are ex’s for a reason!
