Sorry about the clipping audio on this video! Had some camera settings that got messed up somehow... all you audiophiles can feel free to write nasty comments below ;)

Thank you for making this, Eric. It's incredible how few views there are on this video.

Eric the story in you telling them $50k - $100k, that was incredible, it's so far out there and drastically more expensive than they are probably used to hearing so it automatically gets them thinking, "Okay this has to be something special to be that much, what is different about his work?".

💯 Eric! I went from doing tons of low paying work I didn’t enjoy to one high paying client doing the work I wanted to do! Everyone wins when that happens! ( and all on a GH5)

For me the change happened when I realised what my strong points were and what I really enjoyed doing. I spent 4 years trying to do what other people did.

Eric, are music videos a viable route as a clientele base for these high prices.

    Hey,Eric!
Thank you for your great video.
I’m a photographer based in Japan not a videographer but I believe the same thing happens here. the cost of photo is a little cheaper than video but in terms of photos,we have to charge more, right?and the reasons are completely the same as what you mentioned in this video.thank you for helping me as a business person👍

The cost of photography doesn’t have to be cheaper than videography. It all depends on the type of work you’re doing, who you’re doing it for, and how valuable it is to them. But yes, it’s always a good idea to charge more!

How do you know if your work is worth $100,000? Would you have been able to produce at the same level as that company in LA when you were still in college? Yes we need to charge enough money to cover our costings but we also have to consider what our offer is and where we are. Maybe our local market doesn't accept that price? Does that make sense?

Thanks Eric for your advice and great content. I just have one question. Can we approach international clients too. Do clients generally happy to sponsor visa for international jobs ?

Definitely go for international clients if you want to travel. If you get a good client they should be willing to work everything out with you
