it doesn't matter, you have to be born America, raised America. To be able to represent America! That's the way it has to be.. learning about other cultures, and bringing in other cultures is awesome! It's needed to try and understand other people's in our world. But just as in other Countries, America can't speak for them, or to teach them their cultures let alone ours. Cause that's who they are, and where they come from. Well that's no different here in the United States. We do have many different cultures already in the US trying to find a voice to be heard. Because they are not being heard in their Country. I am sorry for that and if they can learn from our country how to have a voice in their country. Then that's great That we can help others in That way. That is a sample of who we are. but not to have other cultures take over our Cultures! Yes we have Culture to. Not to bend over for false faces! To stay strong and proud of our Voice to be Truthful and fair. I know we are starting to lose some of these values. Well it's time to wake up and take our Country values back. We have let too much be taken advantage of. We have allowed our voices to be hushed for other Cultures! Enough! No more out of America Cultures be allowed to Speak for us. And it is not being racist anymore than if it was in England, France, Italy, Or anywhere else. Is it!? Well it's just my American opinion. I'm entitled to it!
@cyn smith As a Indian immigrant to the states your line of argument is soo new having been in this country for over 30 years. The thing that made me wanna immigrate and be part of America is the freshness of its outlook. There was humility in the way it let me discover america and have always been a americaphile and millions of Indians lookup to america. You will be surprised how deep "american culture" is in India or in several parts of the world. So indirectly America does speak and even teach down to them. Just talking of india I suggest you go down to several north eastern states and 99% of the entire states are now christian states all thru american baptist evangicals. All in less than 50 years. America is creating americans in vast global populations. American culture is the most dominant culture in the world today. Why do you feel so insecure about it I wonder ? I am wondering if you are thinkign in very narrow evangelical judeo-christian cultural boundaries hence feel the way you feel ? Lot of "other old cultures" like india, china, middleast, japan have their ways set and being very old are rigid and live in the past and their glory days are in their history. America to me was fresh when its glory days are recent and just less than 100 years perhaps. But you talking like this of "protecting the american culture" and keep the other out makes me bit sad as it feelsl like the pack of cards have foldeds so quickly. America is a composite culture and unique that has grown thru the melting pot approach but if you are already concretizing the mould and ready to "preserve" it then thats the begining of the downward path. Because that means the culture is claiming that our hey days of cultural growth is behind us and we have hit our peak. Now we need to now focus on preserving the status quo and fight influences from others that will corrupt that which is "pure" or "exceptional". American exceptionalism define in such cultural terms denotes the beginning of the end and it means its ready to be like england and france and germany without letting the experiment continue and yield more new things. Its hard to explain as only old civilizations know how the inner conflict between the "old" and "new" rages in my culture and to me america did not face that dilemma. It always was forward looking and embraced the new without bias and risking absorbing, owning it and creating something new. Your way of thinking reminds me of the culture I left behind.
@@suerayss I am glad you are here, I'm not saying that you or anything like that isn't welcomed or in that majority..my point is that as a Leader for this Country, I believe should be born, a Native of this nation. I don't see that an American can go to India or any other Country, and be a leader, mainly because of their beliefs, and Cultures etc. We are a country of alot of diversity's, but we still have our beliefs, our Cultures, Our History. That needs to be remembered, to be respected, to show where and what we came from, where we have evolved too. I have nothing against learning about the differences of people from different places! I also believe in Respecting that Countries History! Thats what I am saying. A President that is apart of the Cultures of America.. like Apple Pie, hunting, whiskey, music, styles, and sports. Just to use as examples... No different than any other Country believes that a native of their Country should speak for them. I'm glad your here and sharing your Cultures of India with America! I hope you can hear what I am saying. and if not, well thats a choice. And Maybe I havent evolved enough yet to want that changed. That's my choice. It's not a disrespect either way. And I thank you for expressing your words! They were very welcoming. I try to respect all. Just some want to trample it....
@@cynsmith8831 Oh ok. Then maybe we are perhaps discussing two different things altogether. Of course I totally agree that the president of America should be someone who is totally immersed, totally committed and thorough american by birth, nurture and its values. And you may know this more than me that US laws require that a US president has to be a natural born American. So for that reason I cannot ever become president of America because I will be a naturalized citizen. US has this law but lot of countries don't for example India does not have this law and few years ago a Italian woman who still heads the olders Indian political party almost became the prime minister of India and there was serious debate in India of changing the laws in India to make it similar to the US. But then again India has a different history and for hundreds of years many foreigners have come and ruled and settled in India. I am digressing so I am totally in agreement. Also a Immigrant one thing I am absolutely clear is I am here to embrace American values, American culture and American wayof life. I am who I am and as a Immigrant its my duty to adopt america and melt into it. Appreciate it and its easy for me because I admire it and by my assimilation I just add my own flavor. But my job is not to convert or alter it to somehting that its not. I dont ever want America to become India because if I wanted that I would rather go back to India. Of course there are aspects of me that will add a flavor to American culture just like more flowers in the garden. Fortunately for me there is nothing contradicting between the values and cultures I believe in with American values and culture so its quite easy. I still am not sure if I misread your comment. It sounded more like you were having doubts about having outside cultures influencing American culture and that it needs to be preserved by way of ensuring that its leadership or representatives belong to American culture. And given that this comment is on a kamala harris video I intrepret it that as meaning she may not be American enough or perhaps her cultural identity is 'out of place' ? Let me know if I am misreading or misintrepreting your comment. I am in agreement with you that leadership should be for its people and it should be upholding american values. I am only arguing that culture and identity is not static. By virtue of being a melting point its a dynamically evolving state and that means since there are people like me also living in this country the culture does have different shades. But anytime a majority of people feel threatened by a outside force within them that could lead to fault lines and problems. I am clear that there is a give and take aspect of the culture. Its not a zero sum game and there must be compromises and negotiations. Here I think the outsider needs to mould themselves to the main culture and embrace it wholeheartedly but if they can also enchance aspects of it such that its forward lookign then that should be welcome. Now in recent times there are conflicting areas such as clashes with islamic cultures who are here and as we can see in europe and lots of places its becoming a serious issue. So long as we dont elect leaders who subscribes to values and ideas that are anti-thetic to the original american culture and values we should be fine with those leaders but one must be vigilant. As a Indian I am not totally a follower of kamala harris. I feel she is bit too radically left for me and if becomes a socialist or islamic apologist then she needs to really be kicked out for I believe that is destroying the american culture and values system I subscribe to. But we are also have a beautiful system of democracy so I believe the system is designed to spot such shifts and will eliminate people who cause harm.

it doesn't matter, you have to be born America, raised America.
This is the most open-minded, intellectual thought I have read so far for this video.
@@suerayss I am glad you are here, I'm not saying that you or anything like that isn't welcomed or in that majority..my point is that as a Leader for this Country, I believe should be
born, a Native of this nation.
@@suerayss I think we are on the same track!. There are other issues of Kamala that I don't agree with! I do have a argument of her ethnic claims, if I'm using the proper words..and what her background believes in. There's alot of controversy about her. That's also why I wanted to make clear that Race is not the issue here. Your words said it way better than me!! And I totally get what your saying! And alot of agreement. My statements also seem to expose to much emotions/passion than should be. I have to learn still, to tame those antics. I appreciate your time in putting into words what all you have said. It's very honary to hear someone of different nationality, to praise America like that! I hope we can keep that image and grow even better!!
