QUESTION: What, in your opinion, is the most reduction the Limiter should be doing before the sound quality and dynamics become affected? (For instance: until it sounds overall to be overly-compressed, even though it is a limiter capping those peaks?)
I think it really depends on the energy of the read, like a action/adventure title, BUT I usually look for the range of -2 to -8 at most. Sometime you can get away with -10 in reduction, but that's usually rare and you have to be careful when you get into that amount of reduction.
