He wanted a chance and we'll never know if those words were maybe true or not because the Mystic Falls gang of freaks in their "he's a sociopath, he's crazy, he's evil" idea were always screwing him over from prison please.
That he is irredeemable...?
So because if you put all the vampires in the series together they all have more innocent dead on their hands than Kai....
And the excuse of using his sociopathy is a very weak one... seriously Damon ate a pregnant woman and enjoyed feeling the baby die.
He himself admitted that before Elena gave him a chance to redeem himself he didn't give a shit about doing anything for anyone not even his own brother.
And let's not even talk about Klaus.... 🤣 that one wiped out villages many villages just for fun to prove a point... in the Originals series we see him as Elijah tells him that he himself went about making enemies because he got it out of his balls.
He never turned off his "emotions" like you can say maybe about the others... here they just grabbed that Kai is a sociopath and associated him with something he can't redeem himself.
Pretty discriminatory but well there is a lot of hidden discrimination in the series that's not surprising.
But you can't tell me because of the things Kai did or why he is a sociopath because if we analyze many characters in the TVD world have done worse.
That they have repented... Damon regretted eating the pregnant woman... maybe a little bit, Stefan well he was always good at heart but Klaus....
Klaus regrets not killing the survivors of his bullshit, not the damage he causes because in his mind all the deaths are justified. He changed because he had a daughter otherwise there was nothing in the world that would make him change.
But Kai at least in the beginning he just wanted to get out of prison to face his family and show them maybe in a very violent way that he was more than just a piece of garbage that was useless just because he was a siphon.
Because if he started to feel again after the merger with his brother and all the chaos Elena and company went through it was because of the betrayal of Bonnie the hypocrite and Damon the jerk in prison in the first place.
@@fresikey5054 don't use whataboutisms because I never stated that Damon or anyone else was redeemable. My point was if Kai not getting his way one time made him go on a killing rampage that included killing his pregnant sister at her own wedding, then maybe he hadn't changed as much as he thought. A person's character is most revealed when they don't get their way, and before you ask, I don't like a lot of people in these shows and that includes Damon and Klaus. They do so many horrible things and people are okay with it because they were abused one time and they are physically attractive. It is honestly nauseating

- TVD couldn't use KAI to his fullest, his powers were 🔥 and could have been the ultimate villian
Kai is literally one the best villains in the whole tvd universe.
Kai is the representation of you reap what you sow. From the Gemini family who despised him, called him a freak and attempted to deny him his birthright because they couldn’t love him like Jo and never took responsibility for the person he became because of them and then most Especially Bonnie who condemned Elena to a coma as long as she lived and made Lizzie and Josie lose their biological mother and let’s not forget the near extinction of the Gemini coven cause she could not forgive the sociopath who was taking the right steps towards redemption after his botched merge with Luke. Now granted, if i were in her shoes, I’d too be skeptical about the man who not only nearly killed me but left me in the prison-world alone but if not careful, the best people can bring out the worst in villains.

Great video as always. Kai was everything: smart, sarcastic, powerful, had a great origin story, he was one of the best characters in the show and deserved better

This was an Incredible Masterpiece for Malachai Parker. My Fifth Favorite Character and My Third Favorite Antagonist’s in The Vampire Diaries Universe. Kai Parker was Magnificent Character and Villain Brought to Life by Chris Wood who did a Legendary Performance.
This was amazing and I'm glad we finally get to see a Vampire Diaries edit.
I had a crush on Lexi and Olivia. Lexi's death was too soon, Olivia however, I was hoping would survive for just a short while longer

What I've learned from TVD/TO (and ATLA, actually) is that being a villain doesn't pay - unless you're loved. Kai and Katherine were not loved, in the end. And perhaps not ever, not in the truest sense anyways. The Salvatores and the Mikaelsons were.

You know in the grand scheme of things, had his family not been a bunch of shit heads from birth about his powers, he’d probably turn out similarly to Kol at the end of The Originals. That natural killer instinct mixed in with the natural charm and quick wit would’ve made him a good leader in the end as well. Says a lot that the only reason he had extra siblings in the first place was so that he would never get a chance. What he did wasn’t just about power. What he did came from a place of hatred that was misdirected at his siblings when it was his father and the rest of his coven that saw him as an abomination. And while the rest of the coven referred to themselves as such, notice how Kai corrects the story of his betrayal by saying his family, because he saw and took what happened far more personally than they presumably did. He felt that he was worth it and as far as he was concerned, killing a few extra siblings was no different than the merger with Jo.
If this was a trailer for Kai having his own show I would watch the show 100%

He's literary like Loki so mischievous always the trickster Noone tried to understand him or make him what love trust or Friendship is. Truely underrated character, he had potential to be one of the bestest character in tvd but nobody gave him chance to. Feel so sorry for him.

He begged Bonnie for a chance, he was ready to change to be her freind but Bonnie backstabed him. So when he returned he was full of vengeance and did all the horrible things that make him that level of BAD

i really want to see all of this through his parents pov so that i know the full reason. I mean his parents would have seen the serial killer element in him and only when he started doing bad shit to others to the point where his parents could not take it any more . i think that's the difference between Damon and him damon was broken by everyone he knew and yes he did terrible things but he did them when he had turned his humanity off and most of those were done because they were necessary for his survival (like he said someone needed to be the bad guy and kai was doing it cause he thought it was fun i think that was why the driver's scene was put in
